Just a few notes: 1 - Hogan beat Christopher to become the USWA Southern Heavyweight Champion, which was basically their second top-tier belt. Not the main USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title. USWA sometimes called the Southern Title the "World Title" for..... reasons I guess? 2 - Flash Flanagan, one of the jobbers in the tag match, is STILL wrestling today, mostly in the south and midwest like in Tennessee, Kentucy and Indiana. He was a mainstay in OVW in the 90s and early 2000s. Even had a super short run in NWA-TNA as "Kobain", a gimmick based off Kurt Cobain.

I feel like this is why older fans of wrestling confuse younger fans. “Back in my day, there was a guy called the Macho Warrior Ric Hogan.” Okay grandpa, I’m sure he was amazing.

He's trying way too hard to fit The Ultimate Warrior into this gimmick...and there's just not enough room for it.

Macho Warrior Ric Hogan was one of those really stupid & dumb comic book characters that was primarily used in the minor leagues of USWA Wrestling. They also had Freddy Kreuger, Jason from Friday the 13th, Leatherface, & Kowabunga a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

Is "Yokozuna" his middle name, because none of those gimmicks are that size.

This gimmick could have worked if he stuck to his voice [or an inbetween] and just used catchphrases and the movesets. Kinda like the Kane/Rock/Hogan "Kanenites" promo. His combined catch phrase could be *snorts cocaine* "WOOOOO.... YEEAAAHHHH BROTHER!!!" then he wanders around breathing heavily, Yes he would still be a flaming trainwreck, but he wouldn't sound like a kid playing with a tuff talkin wrestlers set. When he switched to Flair during his "hurr durr I got Grand Master Sexay's belt" promo, he sounded more like Dusty Rhodes initially. Looks like him too, at least he's as big as Dusty.

Macho Warrior Ric Hogan was the best thing going back in the day. What people don't understand is the critics are looking at this comparing it to today's standards. Those who were there in the beginning appreciate all the dynamics at play. Bert Prentice, RIP 🙏 is a legendary Memphis wrestling promotor from USWA and other companies including the infamous Prentice Wrestling Network, Music City Wrestling, NWA Wild Side and one of the original NWA TNA faces. Bone Crusher is underrated working with Bill Dundee, Jerry Lawler and the likes, his son runs a RU-vid channel for his now deceased father called Crusher Bones Forever. Flash Flanagan is definitely not a jobber. He's another legend still active today from SICW Southern Illinois and Herb Simmons and also ex-TNA alumni and superstar in Puerto Rico also known as Slash Venom. Randy Hales, Jerry Lawler, Maclin, Christopher and the rest of the crew, the reality is that this is the original TNA Impact Wrestling. In fact Macho Warrior Ric Hogan went on to be a star in Puerto Rico and Japan under the name of Big Daddy wrestling in Carlos Colons World Wrestling Council and Big Japan Pro Wrestling. I believe he was in IWA-Mid South and Cleveland All Pro too. I would pop Big time if Macho Warrior was to debut in AEW but I don't even know if he's still alive today because his last match was like decade ago
