Imagine my surprise when I return from a long break to find a new Vex puzzle in the EDZ. I complete this puzzle to discover a new cave, and I hear Mithrax on comms, asking me to check out this new zone. “Requires Season 20”
I'm still stunned that Bungie expects us to pay $100 for expansions with at most 7-8 story missions. Meanwhile, FFXIV says "give us $40 and we'll give you an emotional rollercoaster of a story with any content in post-patch updates being free." Not to mention that if you buy the current FFXIV expansion, you also get ALL prior expansions with no additional cost. Destiny 2 has such a predictable story now that I wouldn't be surprised if any of my predictions (like Amanda returning as a guardian) comes true
100 is not just for the expansion story bro it also comes with all 4 seasons, 2 dungeons , 1 raid , this year we got a whole subclass and all weapons/ armor exotic and legendary
main problem was the season is extremely long compared to the last 2 years of content because they delayed final shape that's pretty much the main reason not to mention all the lay offs
This literally is not the same game i played at launch. Im also a destiny 1 vet and i enjoyed going off on my own replay the story or strikes whenever i wanted. here its just random and they removed a good chunk of the game. absolute bs.
I don’t know about Bungie but another publicly listed company, Ubisoft, makes 200 to 300 million dollars per year from microtransactions. Bungie is incorporated. This is reality. Our choice as gamers is to not play, play but not buy or play and buy. Destiny is mechanically superb and no other game feels better to play but the management care most of all about money. Above all else. Money. So if you want a game made by pure artists who do it for love of the art you must look elsewhere. But if you want to play Destiny but you hate the shop then do what you do irl. When you walk past a shop that you’re not interested in then you just keep walking. You don’t walk inside and look at all the products and say angrily “I don’t want any of this!” You just ignore it. And if Bungie’s store offends your sensibilities too greatly then you’ll have to stop playing the game. Don’t play corporate games hoping that the people who make them will stop being the way they are. This is the way they want to be. This is Their Big Dream come true. Movie Star wealth. This is how it’s done in the video game industry in your country. Millions and millions and millions… …so ask the Bungie executive ”But sir! The people who’ve played and loved your games for over a decade are offended! You’ll have to stop the river of money from flowing!” and what do you really think the executive will say to that?
