I don’t think adoption was greatly explained to them I feel the adoption agency just saw young naive kids and took advantage of them

I think if Catelynn and Tyler didn't have to talk about Carly in every episode they would have healed so much quicker. Having to talk about Carly publically i think caused more strife

Remember when Dawn had to remind them they don’t send her letters and gifts? Amazing that they always ask for a visit when they are filming.

I seriously would sue the Davises and Dawn for a breach of contract. And weren't they minors? It's mindblowing that with such a important thing as adoption there isn't a requirement for an adult to cosign the contract, or at least a lawyer present, representing the rights of the minors.

Such a shame I remember watching all of those programmes and That's exactly how it came across is that it was a open adoption...all adults should be ashamed off themselves they took advantage off 2 young teenagers that was scared for their daughter ...adults taking advantage shame on them all...

To be honest I feel for both sides!!!! I understand what the adoptive parents are doing to protect Carly but at the same time Catelynn and Tyler were kids themselves and it’s extremely difficult for them. I would fight the adoption agreement if I were them. They may have a chance to have more rights since they were so young when they placed the agreement.

I had a similar experience. I believed adoption agencies lie to make a person more comfortable for a successful adoption. When I watched Teen Mom I thought their relationship with the adoptive parents was rare. But seeing this video doesn’t surprise me. There were some things Catelynn and Tyler did that over stepped boundaries. But they may have been misled. I only got a chance to receive letters and photos. And write back. I don’t know if my child knows I tried to write her and her adoptive parents.

About posting pictures is so stupid, I get you want to protect your child, but children change, nobody will recognize Carly from pictures from years ago. While everybody can recognize Brandan and Theresa so if they see them, they automatically will know the child with them is Carly.

I see both sides of the situation just sad and a bummer for all parties . I hope Carly chooses to maybe open the door for Ty&Cait when she turns 18 in the next 4 years .

That adoption agency has a bad reputation. I feel so bad for these two.

Tyler and Caitlyn should have never given their daughter up to begin with. Hopefully after Carly is 18 she can have a relationship with her parents and her sisters without Brandon and Teresa butting in.

I wish I could go back in time in the hospital…..and tell them and show them how it would be if they let her go….I wish I could change this for them….I really do think Carly will be with them and her little sisters a lot when she is 18

Brandon and Theresa are so shady, I never trusted them. They could vist and meet without filming, that's just an excuse. Also they know they were filming, when they adopted. İf they didn't want that they should have adopted someone whose parents aren't on TV. And coming up with new rules everytime, using Carly to force things their way. Shame on them Carly deserves to see her parents and siblings more than once in 2 or 3 years. I also feel bad for Nova, she's so sweet and intelligent and they are hurting her also. They are selfish and shady and so is Dawn, taking advantage of children. Also they seem really off to me like they are hiding something and pretending to be great parents, while they are not. They seem so stiff, emotionless and weird to me.

I think Brandon and Theresa are just insecure or jealous maybe. I think they're afraid the daughter they raised will one day love Cate and Ty more than them after she turns 18 and can make her own choices.

I think Tyler needs to come out now.

What Teresa and her husband and that adoption agency did with this adoption was plain WRONG!! three adults took terrible advantage of two young kids that had no legal counsel, but had a baby that they wanted….. One of these days, Carly will know the truth. It’s only several years down the road she’ll come knocking on the door looking for her parents and I hope Theresa and her husband C R Y

A semi-open adoption it's just that it was never an open adoption where they would be able to contact Brandon Teresa whenever they wanted. And it was Brandon and Teresa who told Caitlin Tyler if they did not want any pictures of Carly on the internet and that they didn't want her filming on the show or to be filmed for Carly's privacy and Catelynn and Tyler acted extremely entitled and downright BRATS towards Brandon and Teresa about it. I've always respected Catelynn and Tyler for making the decision to place Carly for adoption so that she could have a better life but before they placed her for adoption Dawn who is essentially a caseworker who works for the adoption agency explained EVERYTHING to Catelynn and Tyler how the whole process was going to be. So I don't feel sorry for Catelynn or Tyler at all!! Go back and watch the episodes where they're bad-mouthing Brandon Teresa they sound so ungrateful and entitled because they couldn't have a say in a lot of things that involve Carly that's what happens when you place your child for an adoption the parents that are now raising the child are now in charge of that child and says what goes. You no longer have parental rights!!
