Cilantro does actually taste different to some people. It's one of those bizarre genetic traits like the in/ability to fold your tongue, or being able to detect that someone had recently eaten asparagus by the smell of their urine. Bizarre shit that serves no purpose, I guess. The human body is so strange...
30:36 That is the Hands Resist him painting. Painted by Bill Stoneham in 1972. It's also known as the Haunted Ebay painting. As the original person who sold that claimed that the boy would come out of the painting at night and the doll's head would move as well as the hands. However, the painting is actually part of a series. The other two are called Threshold of Revelation and The Hands Invent Him. Rather or not the original painting is haunted or cursed I can't say for sure. But it's right up there with the Crying Boy painting and the Anguished Man painting. Both of which are said to be cursed.
I've been to Bill's website where he has a lot of his other work featured. He's a really talented artist! Though The Hands Resist him is what normally makes the rounds. Simply due to the claim that it was haunted.
Day 51 After Joining ‘I Hate Cilantro’: My cilantro loving husband has left me and took the kids. He cut access to our joint account so I’m reduced to digging into the trash for scraps. I am without a home. I am without a family. I am without money for food and I’m probably going to die. This of all because of cilantro. *I HATE YOU CILANTRO*
Ok correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that cilantro tasting bad is a genetics thing, so some people think it tastes normal, and to others it actually tastes like soap.
I know this is just another comment down here, but that was a pretty weirdly relevant message on the site about the alien in the girl's body... Relevant to something I just heard, of course. My school was having a recognition march down our hallways for the graduating seniors, and as we were waiting for them to come down my geometry teacher asked me what I planned on doing in the future. I mentioned something about a fictional story I was excited to get working on, one of which included aliens. She got a little excited, and then proceeded to tell me of a student at our school in the Special Ed classes, who claimed she was from another planet. My geometry teacher told me how this girl had an entire alphabet for the aliens' language, as well as a vocabulary--which, according to my teacher, she could speak--that she just KNEW. I asked my teacher if she believed her, and she just shrugged. I'd like to believe aliens are out there, even though it's crazy, and I would fully support this girl 100% if I ever was able to meet with her--she sounds cool. Anyway, I just thought it would be cool to share this, even if it isn't as relevant as I thought. Kudos
Cilantro (aka the leaves of the coriander plant) is a tasty herb to most people. A pleasing combination of flavors reminiscent of parsley and citrus, the herb is a common ingredient in many cuisines around the world. However, some people find cilantro revolting, including, famously, the chef Julia Child. Of course some of this dislike may come down to simple preference, but for those cilantro-haters for whom the plant tastes like soap, the issue is genetic. These people have a variation in a group of olfactory-receptor genes that allows them to strongly perceive the soapy-flavored aldehydes in cilantro leaves.
I love cilantro, hate coriander. I love salsa (esp w cilantro in it), hate tomatoes. Can I start a dark web page with this information and blame aliens?
Hate tomatoes? Hate tomatoes? How the fuck do you hate tomatoes that shit is the God of foods!!! You're on thin ice don't talk to me hating tomato peasant
Perhaps. I think he was referring to world rankings, like livability, quality of life etc. Sweden and Canada often swap out 1st rank. Maybe I'm just being defensive, but I reallllly wouldn't wanna live anywhere else.
@@rileykopinski6026 yeah, but Canada, USA and China are all virtually the exact same size. Canada is within a couple hundred thousand square KM of USA and China. Slightly bigger :) although USA has far more arable, useful land than we do.
@@SegaDream131 yeah, I like pepper (black pepper) but I doubt very much I'd like the leaves! Heck, the leaves of tomatoes can kill ya! Not really that common to find an herb that's the plant version of a pig and you can use all parts!
@@thetomatoking9714 Wow that makes sence, I can't stand that shit. Tomato's kinda burn my mouth when I eat them and I've got hay fever apparently those things are connected some how, I wonder is Cilantro has something to do with this aswell. I'm not making a joke based on your name, that's a coincidence.
26:05 Daddy Muda says that Canada always gets second place for nicest citizens in the country. It's because Canada is so nice they stepped aside so Sweden could take first place
30:45 The first of the three bocks on screen are said to be a “cursed” painting. It’s called “the hands resist him” by Bill Stoneham, painted in the early 1970s. The handprints behind the boy are said to move...
i didnt think the somethingstore was legit, but it actually is and isnt a scam, people use it often and you get really good stuff each time, even if its something worth the lowest value they put in it
The hands resist him painting has a whole af story to it, the author was surprised his painting got popular and he reached out to the internet, it was based off his wifes poem and there are sequels to the painting. It's just so nice when a talented authors work gets recognized.
For all the memes and jokes we make, some of these sites and videos are actually really screwed up, especially if that video was real. That said Muta stills goes through it for us and I really appreciate that.
when are you doing the stream of this rabbit hole and how can I watch it? will it be uploaded to your channel? PS cheers to you from a fellow Torontonian- your videos are super chill and always put me in a good mood ^_^
fun fact that's probably already been mentioned: that site you found there about the swedish king wearing hats used to exist on the worldwideweb. it was a great laugh and a pretty big meme in sweden. it was later taken down for some reason and it's great to see that the website is still up somewhere.
When you stumble on the weird sites with cryptic sentences I'm afraid you're going to end up accidentally reading out activation words for sleeper agents.
Lol!!...I know this is an old video but I just wanted to say that Cilantro and Coriander come from the same exact plant 🌱...The difference being that Cilantro is used and sold mostly fresh with the leaves and stems...Coriander on the other hand entails drying the seeds of the plant and grinding them finely...The dried leaves are also sold but is not as popular as the ground seeds are...Surprisingly they do not have the same flavor profile and are used in totally different ways and recipes....Lol!!...If anyone really gives a rats azzzz!!!😆
I ate a raspberry once and tasted something wierd, which turned out to be a bug inside it. That's what cilantro tastes to me. So I wasn't surprised there's a link between it and a stink bug.
Since stinkbugs became an invasive species in the U.S, i found they really do smell kinda like oregano/cilantro if you squish one. I prefer to capture them and put them outside btw.
Cilantro tastes like putting soap in your mouth (not exaggerating, actually the most accurate description I can give). I realise this is a phenomenon like 1/4 people has, but the people who dislike cilantro usually hate it because it actually ruins the entire dish for them. The best comparison I’ve found is, find a fragrance with Neroli in it, you will notice there’s this sharp (neroli) aroma in there. Now imagine tasting that in your mouth, and you can slightly imagine what Cilantro tastest like to me and some others
@@jordanbabcock9349 Well, by using context clues I'm going to guess it's pasta because cilantro is an herb and pasta is a food and Russians are known to put cologne on before their shoes, so it can't be shoes. Also, doubt it's a person's name because I've only tasted one person's name before and it DID NOT taste like pasta.
sabinajoh I don't speak Norwegian. But a big part of it seems to actually be Norwegian, I don't know if it's grammatically correct, probably not. Some of the words seems to be gibberish alternatively old Norse.
Cilantro is interesting because people taste it completely differently, which has been liked to specific genes, it tastes like soap to me. I learned anout that in 9th grade science and ive never looked back! I need to join the IHC community
That "Bad Scary Place" site is actually a part of a website called "Silverladder" or "Hallucinine" and it was an ARG, I forget the specifics of how to get to BSP from Hallucinine but if you just google the BSP you can visit the site
• Coriander _is_ cilantro. (Some people just have crap genes that cause cilantro to taste soapy to them.) • The only thing that won't be in the loot-box is batteries. (Or apparently anything else.) • There's thousands of styles of cutlery in the world yet they got a duplicate set of knives? 🤨 They should get a lottery ticket. • 30:35 - That's the Bill Stoneham painting _The Hands Resist Him_ . It was in the computer game _Scratches_ . • Canadians lose to Sweden because of the bad influence to the south. ¬_¬
hey. fun fact. Cilantro and Coriander are the same plant/ herb - the reason for the separate names refers to the stage of growth you pick and use it in. Cilantro is when its in its fresh vegetative state (like what youd sprinkle on tacos) Coriander refers to the herb after the plant has flowered and gone to seed. you collect and dry the round seeds. also yes - i heard that to some people , cilantro tastes like soap.
The Dark Web, where you can find live streams of people being killed, buy body parts, watch this anime that may or may not exist, and talk about how much you hate cilantro.
I am from Sweden, so seeing my king as a meme... You know, I don’t know how to feel. Oh, and by the way... NICEST country in the world? Where the heck do you get that info from? We’re like the meekest, cringiest, most saccharine country ever, sure... but nicest?! I dunno about that...
Mutah!!!! Has been far too long that I’ve been distracted by other stuff, but tonight I needed this man... thank you for the deep web spelunking expeditions man, I love these and eventually plan go back and catch up but will be one hell of an epic binge watch indeed!
What the actual fuck is that painting? I didn't realize the eyeless girl was actually part of it. That shit gave me chills, seriously what's the story behind that painting?
Cayque Sales An artist painted it as a representation of his creativity. He made two sequels, including one called Resistance at The Threshold which looks fucking amazing.
I have officially watched every deep web video from 1-186 over the past week. Few repeat videos in there, but was gold. Don't know what I'll do now that they have stopped.
Ok I'm confused and have suspected this for awhile... Ihatecilantro.com is accessible normally using Firefox or w/e. I thought this series was all about Tor browser and using onion routed sites? Am I missing something?
If my understanding of the series is correct the general idea is sites that can be found through the the Tor browser. Which means, being a browser, will likely have "clear web" sites like ihatecilantro.com among others. However, I've never used the Tor relay/browser, so I couldn't tell you for certain, but that's what believe to be the case.
@@danieltippey TOR browser and other dark web relays can access normal sites just fine, not just onions or .i2p sites or whatever. But clear/surface web sites can have mirrors to the dark web in an onion/.i2p/etc with a dark web URL. But I mean if you want to use TOR to go on clear web Facebook or RU-vid you absolutely can, nothing is stopping you, it'll just load a bit slower. (The reason I pointed out "clear web Facebook" is because Facebook actually has an onion)
