As a note for why they didn't kill Delilah. The way I see this scenario it wouldn't have actually stopped Orthax. It would have stopped it from being more powerful but it was plenty powerful enough. If anything someone like Grog killing her would have just kicked the possession issue to a later time so to speak. Or I could be completely wrong. Who knows. Great reaction. The other thing is, Cassandra's name was still on the gun. Orthax probably would have just gone after her instead.

Same as when Ripley escaped. If Orthax is denied one name, it pushes Percy to go after the next on The List.

it does annoy me that they think the solution to basically any problem across in anything they watch is to just murder anything in your way. If nothing else, that locks the path for so much good story because you can't do anything with a character that is dead and cannot come back. It's also always just said so nonchalantly like murder is just something everyone ever just casually does all the time. I'm going to say that the large majority and people and characters do not want to murder ANYONE. It's also annoying when you realize they watched the entirety of avatar and didn't take away the lesson of "murder is not the solution to everything". On top of that, it does annoy me that they think people can just snap out of conditions (not even just DND conditions, conditions such as depression for gar in YJ or the literal vengeance demon featured here) or destroy the orb that delilah summoned an otherworldly being in order to create, maybe you can't just "get rid of it".

I call bull on the show’s version of Brimscythe being a mere “young adult” like he was in the campaign. His size is clearly Gargantuan, not Huge. Huge creatures can’t take out multiple trees in a single chomp.

Tbf I also thought it was a misdirect when I saw the silhouettes thinking they were probably gonna be Metallic Dragons. Then I saw the Red Dragon and I was like, "yep, they're fucked".

Yep, Orthax put Cassandras name on the gun because she was a threat to his hold on Percy. Percy had yelled at and threatened his friends when he was on that high of vengence, but after disposing of Anders all Cass had to do was call his name and he immediately took off the mask and actually dropped the gun to the floor. Orthax couldn't let keep happening. Percys smart enough to know that she had very likely been charmed, but it was enough for Orthax to manipulate him. Ultimately it was wanting to protect Cassandra that fuelled Percy to break control.

But at least we get to see LARKIN! Vox Machine's most stalwart ally 😂😂😂

Orthax is like, a type 1 demon who got lucky enough to possess a kid with serious potential.

It didn't kill the demon's soul. Percy fighting back just made Orthax decide to lay in wait until he had another chance for Percy to have a weak moment. Scanlan throwing the gun in the acid severed the pact with Orthax.

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one who responded to Percy’s “I’ll be damned,” with that comment.

When you put it that way, it’s hard to argue with them. Generally because arguing with dragons is not conducive to a long lifespan.

Just search up "Critical Role Campaign 1" and you should find a playlist, it's 115 episodes I think. The events of the first 2 episodes of the cartoon are based on things that happened before they began streaming, then the stuff with the Briarwoods begins around episode 20-something

Though I will preference this restriction is after they did OVAs of the whole show doing some retcons or this is an alternate time line so if you are like wait why is this guy alive you know why.

For chromatic dragons, that's too tame, and believe me, it would've been dandy if that's what actually happened. Expect the first episode in season 2 to be the dragons laying waste to the entire fucking city.

they're also twins, but like actually twins so much so originally they were described as "having the same exact face" didn't exactly carry over to the cartoon.

More like Vex has finally stopped being afraid of losing her brother. That's why she was hating on her in the first place. Before now the only person in the world who would have caught a bullet for her was Vax. Still plenty if ships left to sail in this show.
