Oh yes, I haven't heard too much from them, the ones I've haedr do vary a bit-some are catchier than others and more memorable, but yes, thanks, I did forget them. There's always one!
Got to see the buds on many occasions... Liverpool, Manchester and at the Buckley Tiv 😁, met Andrea and the band a few times. Great band, great music, great live 👍👍👍
I saw them in San Francisco on the Pop Said....tour and they were terrific. Andrea was as endearing as any performer I've seen. I remember her taking pictures of the audience because they were all so obviously thrilled to be there and playing overseas. It took me by surprise, because I thought the album was nowhere up to The Primitives debut, but The Primitives were as flat live when they came on tour as the Darling Buds were great. A nice memory.....
Folks please share this song and the first Album by The Darling Buds,, deserve more regoniton, it's totally awesome, I've been searching for this band on You Tube for ages, finally found it, I didn't know name of band (sorry) as I heard this as a young child, i just remembered I loved it, I'm delighted I found this, total blast from the past and the first album is also a complete Blast!!! ❤️
I watched them at Kentish Town in London around the time that Transvision Vamp were big. I can't remember if they were good or not, but that's a sign of the times.
Just come off the Primitives ‘Crash’ and immediately remembered this equally catchy pop song from around back then, and they’re from the same part of south 🏴 as the great Feeder
I didn't mean to upset you Well, I didn't mean to throw you out I didn't mean to stand and shout And now I'm sorry too And I-I-I (I-I-I) Never should've said those things I never should've told you lies And now I see it in your eyes I'm so sorry too But you know I just can't take it if you walk away My head's gonna burst, it doesn't matter what you say I just can't take it if you walk away from me, oh, oh, oh I should try to make things right I should try to understand But everything got out of hand I don't know what to do And I know (I know) I know that I'm the one to blame I didn't mean to cause you pain And things will never be the same I'll leave it up to you But you know I just can't take it if you walk away My head's gonna burst, it doesn't matter what you say I just can't take it if you walk away from me, oh, oh, oh Since you've been gone You know it's been so long Why don't we figure out just where it all went wrong Went wrong But you know I just can't take it if you walk away My head's gonna burst, it doesn't matter what you say I just can't take it if you walk away from me, oh, oh, oh I didn't mean to upset you Well, I didn't mean to throw you out I didn't mean to stand and shout And now I'm sorry too And I-I-I (I-I-I) Never should've said those things I never should've told you lies And now I see it in your eyes I'm so sorry too But you know I just can't take it if you walk away My head's gonna burst, it doesn't matter what you say I just can't take it if you walk away from me, oh, oh, oh I just can't take it if you walk away My head's gonna burst, it doesn't matter what you say My head's gonna burst, it doesn't matter what you say Oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh
Was down near Bristol for a fortnight and was looking for a live music venue and a chick in a canteen (fox) sent me to a club in Bristol to watch a local band. I must've gone to the wrong venue cos Andrea & the boys were on & played a storming gig. Excellent.
I am really sorry, I couldn't remember the name of song and the band, I remember hearing this when I was young and absolutely loved it, the album this song is off is great, this going right in my playlist, great song❤️

@a w It was a conversation where they were talking about learning to play their instruments in the very early days, and who their heroes were at that time. Then they went to see My Bloody Valenine and everything changed.
