So for anyone who is confused, the woman in the hospital bed is the mother and the old woman is her daughter. The mother was in an accident when she was young which caused her to never age or die from old age. However, she had to hide this because people would think she's crazy and she has to change her identity every few years because the age on any Identification would not match her appearance. Also, the guy she falls in love with now is the son of a man she rejected in the past.

A song comes on tv,radio,commercial a movie anything cartoon songs Elvis Presley she loved him. Now that shes gone, I sing all the time and my kids do too, I started reading her Elvis books, and I started listening. I heard in the Ghetto and it was just amazing i felt so close to her, I had my lil brother watch it, hes named after Elvis his middle name. We are going to go to Graceland. I had videos and 8mm tapes my mom had the camcorder on constantly after my boyfriend got it for me in high school. She was on that thing from 1996 until 2006. We don't remember her voice, laugh or smile. He doesn't remember anything about her, he was 10 she passed at home shed been in the hospital bed in the dining room I didn't handle it well. My stbx parents have everything and refuse to give my moms and Nannys things back. Claiming that they dont have it. Take lots and lots and lots of pictures just because she looks pretty, or is laughing you will cherish those memories. I smell her perfume and I feel closer to her. You're both so blessed❤

This clip is sad I’ve known the actress playing the daughter since I started watching movies my whole life and seeing her this old is sad. I think it’s so sad how we all have to go through aging. Becoming more and more aged and looking barely recognizable from our youthful years. I am a lot younger than her but on my way. These last few years I can see and feel the devastation of getting old. It comes on so quick I barely noticed until the last three yrs. When I turned 60 a lot of changes almost over night. I used to think older people exaggerated about the body aches. It’s horrible. I look different now more than the 40’s or 50’s but 60 is different the changes are more noticeable and I think that is sad. For everyone will look like this. My gosh even your voice teeth and eyes look old your skin your breath your nose. Your nose and ears keep growing. My nose is so much bigger. It’s all messing with my desire to always be the prettiest I can. I’ve took pride in my looks my clothes my makeup and hygiene my mind. But you can’t stop the aging. The makeup and clothes don’t matter. Your mind is the same but your physical outer appearance is that of someone you don’t feel like but you do look like. I still feel 14 in my mind. Not my body or face. lol that’s life. I think God helps us through this part. I’m not even close to being how I thought I would feel at this age. God helps you through it. Letting you feel ok about it. Not being depressed or even knowing how old I may look. To me and my mirror I still look beautiful.

To the commenters saying it is 'sad' that Ellen Burstyn looks old. This is nothing more than age shaming. Ms. Burstyn looks her age for heaven's sake and I hope she continues to land quality roles that are reflective of her immense talent. Have you looked at the actors who have pulled, sliced, filled, and hiked their faces? They look like freaks and are not getting roles. Cher, Goldie, Daryl Hannah, Zellweger, Stallone, Joan Hart, Courtney Cox, Demi Moore. The beautiful Blake Lively had a nose job in her 20s. Fabulous women who know their worth is not tied to a face that looks phony: Winslet, Streep, Maggie Smith, Bonam-Carter, Barrymore, Emma Thompson, Jodie Foster, Andie MacDowell to name a few. Aging is a privilege, just ask anyone who has lost someone to illness or worse. Stop the age shaming of women!

My mother would be 80 this year. She passed away 29 years ago waiting for a heart transplant. My father is 74 and he was in a coma the last two months and he is out of it and he’s talking and he’s doing better when I think about all things that my parents have done for me sacrificed the pain that they’ve suffered on my account I see how I am with my children. I am gonna be 50 in a week. I have seven children and two grandchildren. Love transcends time a transcends age love is love and love always always be a good thing. This always makes me cry my eyes out.

@lourdesmariasanchez8388 2 месяца назад
@@danifeatherby Exactly, it's the way she carries herself, how she walks, her mannerisms, everything is so elegant, I'm especially fascinated by the cafeteria scene, where she goes to eat with her daughter, what she wears is quite simple, but she looks amazing (and this also applies to the hairstyle). Blake totally sold me on the idea that she was a woman who lived and grew up in a different time, for me this is one of her best roles, and I think she hasn't received enough credit for that.
@danifeatherby
@danifeatherby 2 месяца назад
@lourdesmariasanchez8388 Absolutely! Totally underrated film and beyond underrated performance! In a lot of romantic stories you hope that the actor and actress will have good chemistry... Blake had outstanding chemistry with everyone she shared the screen with! You never question the believability of her feelings toward Ellis or William, the mother/daughter chemistry between Adeline and her grown daughter (the tough love mom vs Flemming slipping easily back into the child role (regardless of age we never stop being a child in our parents presence, even though the perceived age level may vary)), Her old blind bff who is her only human friend (safe to continue to keep as a friend because her blindness removes all visible context clues). Even her interaction with the young counterfeiter. Not wants to you ever question that while she still looks to be in her mid to late 20s that she's mentally over a hundred years old. This is definitely on my list of movies that no matter how recently I've watched it, if it came on or something about it was mentioned I would be perfectly cool to rewatch it again and again and again!

Explanation: So basically the girl in the hospital, adaline got into a car accident in the early 1900's which made her stop aging. The old woman, her daughter, came to visit her because adal8ne got into another car crash. Adaline has had to lie about her real age because she doesn't want authorities to find her and become a lab rat. She also can't fall inlove because she knows she'll live right past them and will suffer their death but this time she falls inlove with the man , Ellis, and eventually tells him her secret

In one of the Alien movies, Sigourney Weaver was away on a mission for several years. To her it was seven years because she didn't really age. But on earth, 60 years had passed. She had left a young daughter behind. When she returned, her daughter had died as an elderly woman. The daughter never married or had children. It was the saddest thing I had ever seen. I wish Sigourney had returned in time to be with her daughter even if only for a few years. That is why I love Age Of Adaline so much. A mother is still a mother, a child is still a child. At least they were together.

if u dont get it, ill explain. basically this movie is called “Age of Adeline”, and its about a woman(the girl in the hospital bed) who was a teenager in the 30s. she got married to her late husband in the 40s and had a daughter(the old lady). her husband died shortly after and when she was on the way to her relatives house to see her daughter, she got in a car crash and got struck by lightning. after that, she never aged. she looked the exact same for decades and decades. people would often compliment her about her youth even after all these years, but over time people would get suspicious to the point that the fbi was involved. so she left her young adult daughter and moved and changed her name. instead of adeline, her name was now jenny. after many more decades, she visited her daughter who was now an old lady. she would call her daughter “grandma” in public. jenny went out to celebrate for her birthday at the exact same ballroom she helped create in the 30s. she met a man(the guy in the video) there and started dating him. she went to go meet his parents, and his dad actually ended being her old boyfriend in the 60s-70s. the dad was shocked to see her and told her how he dated someone who looked exactly like her. he said her name was adeline and jenny lied and said adeline was her mother. then while she was staying with her boyfriends family, jenny was talking the dad(her old boyfriend), and he noticed a really big scar on her left hand. he remembered how he stitched adelines left hand a long time ago. he put two and two together and figured out jenny was actually adeline. he confronted her about it crying, and she cried with him. jenny decides that enough is enough and she cant keep living like this, and so she wants to do something about her situation. on a stormy day, she tries getting in the exact same car crash she got into in the 40s. she succeeded, and now it goes to the scene in the video of her in the hospital. she finally can start growing old and can be happy. :)

It was simply a matter of picking up the book and following the script.. "skin as white as snow, lips as red as a rose and hair as black as night"... There was zero chance of getting it wrong... In fact, the description matches with Gal Gadot. Disney is destroying children's books and the childhood of people who wanted to see live actions.
