​@Tshepo Moeti And Shoes was good, but he never was better than doctor. We all watched doctor from 1986 when he came on the 1st division of kaiser chiefs. So you can't imply that we were influenced by the media . we had eyes we saw what we saw. And that was the greatness of doctor Khumalo. He had a unique combination of the brain and feet that controlled the ball in an amazing way. And not so much senseless running like others did.

I didn't want to seem as a hater, but almost every pass went backwards.. Delayed the tempo of the game.. No shot on traget. I don't know if the players didn't play well on the day or the highlight selection was poor..

@@mahaseseleso1402 I actually asked my father to see if he has that game on tape somewhere. He has an extensive Kaiser Chiefs collection from that era. Hopefully I can see the whole game when I visit my parents house. I can give you some feedback 😄

I remember very well that even during the days of Doctor Khumalo, they were reminded about the days of Teenage Dladla, the Teenage Dladla generation was told about the Jomo Sonos and the Ntswelengoe and the cycle continues. The funny thing is even when you listen to the likes of Junior Khanye and the Jabu Pules, you hear them speaking in glorious terms about their era as if they did something glorious for South African football. Back passes are part of the game. What makes them special here is that possession of the ball was no lost in the process and that the intent was to draw Liverpool out of their defence zone so as to create space for the pacey Fani Madida. But Liverpool didn't fall for that trick - it's more of good defending by Liverpool than poor display by Chiefs.
