i cant believe how carefree the admins are allowed to be with wipes. imagine some of the biggest games like Valorant, World of Warcraft, Runescape, League of Legends, etc all just wiped your stuff by playing a huge part of the game and just said "oh no the game is in beta (its really not) and we cant return items". its really crazy.

Powliner, you literally said you’d see me at the Supreme Court for breaking the contract of not liking and subscribing. It was said on June 18, 2022, and the court date was on September 16, 2022. I’m still here, waiting for you. I’m beginning to think you may be screwing with me.

They should make the alpha a sandbox version of skyblock, where u have unlimited coins and can play around with stuff. That way people would play alpha to do things they can't do on main and being free would make it so all players can test all parts of the game. Also because the alpha is empty you can't test things even if you wanted, no one to do dungeons/kuudra with you, all bz and ah prices are insane because no sellers and only 100 people can be on at the same time.

Migrating from JDK 8 to 17 was likely the root cause of many of those bugs because unsupported legacy code has to be completely rewritten

FINALLY! While I was waiting for this, I grew up (from 2), got a wife, had 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and retired.

The mage ability damage was also bugged outside dungeons just way more noticeable because of dung scaling

I'm so glad I left skyblock. Stuff like this just reminds me I'm lucky I had an excuse to leave while I still hadn't made it my entire life. It's fun to grab the old binoculars and take a peep at the state of the game, but I could never go back. The grind was unhealthy and after everything I lost it all.

First of all: I agree with most if not everything. Second: I remember when TimeDeo jump out of the island with 50m and lost half of it due to a bug and got himself this money back. But i've never even tried to get my money back from multiple wipes that I had. Because I know that admins don't care. Third: That's why I left. I'm done. They absolutely ruined this game for me

still remember when i got wiped because i left dungeons and lost like 80% of my networth and all the forum did was declining my appeal and not even caring about the wipe well i did quit afterwards

I actually did try and do a dungeon on the alpha network while this update was still being tested just to see what happened. It just doesn’t even work. You can join the dungeon and pick a class, but then the door doesn’t open and you have to try and ghost pick your way through it. Sometimes when I fell out of bounds I got teleported to the boss room with no boss so that was fun I guess.

The only hypixel skyblock videos I watch anymore, havent played in years but these videos are pure gold. I think this shit is pure comedy, nice work man

As someone who hadn't played in months logging on to do a single dungeon run resulting in a wipe, I'm glad I had basically given up playing beforehand, this just kinda solidified it

Hypixel has always been terrible with Customer Support. I got wrongfully banned twice while streaming like 5 years back, i cant remember exactly, but I sent the video of me getting banned and they didnt even look at the video and denied the ban appeal and now i am permanently banned for no reason. The best part I still dont know why I got banned cause all i got was an automated reply and a nondescript cheating ban.

THX for the credit, losing 1.2b when my nw was around 3.8 sucked a lot, but i didnt give up on playing and i think people shouldn't either, ty again for using my video!

I was newer to the game and was doing my first dungeon with my rich friends. A boss wasn’t spawning, so one of them said to put all of our items in an ender chest. After doing that in the nick of time, I saw all the non ender chested items as well as exp levels were wiped

I personally never experienced a wipe, however a few weeks ago I started having major lag. I haven't had any issues before and have a fairly beefy computer, but no matter what I tried I couldn't play with more then 8 FPS. I tried FPS boosting mods, removing every mod, switching versions, nothing worked.

That was an insane video! Feel bad for all the ppl who got wiped. I was on vacation the whole time this happened so I didn’t know much about what happened lol

imo there should be a cosmetic reward for doing certain things on the alpha network. probably similar to game breaker but cooler, either a dye, skin, or cosmetic armor piece would be good. If it were to be a dye i think a shade of red would be best

Here's the worst part about the alpha: The community that actually DOES things on it are the ones hunting for abusable bugs to stay quiet about, and abuse on the live server when the update drops. (i.e dupes, or bugs that result in basically free wins in dungeons) They'd be better off just having a bunch of people actually hired to properly bug test rather than relying on their community considering how this community behaves... (See: When Dungeons got introduced for a prime example.)

i’ve been offline from skyblock for almost a year, just got back in yesterday to find my island from just 40m networth rise up to 200m+ because of minions worked hard all those days, i should have put a hopper in but i forgot, if i have hopper on every single minions then maybe i should have around 300m

I am so happy that I took a break from skyblock and didn't have to worry about random wipes

Wonder if the equipment menu wipe is still around, might test that with some cheap gear on the alpha if it's open

The player base at the main server is the most effective way to test bug. Alpha network doesent work well enough. Imo they shld have a really gd recovery system from devastating bugs. As for the overpowered bugs, its up to admins to react quickly...

I think the problem with the alpha is how only mvp++ can join. Like I would love to test bugs, especially the dupes are normally qiite quick zo find, but I just don't want to spend so much money on it. Like sure, it's ok to only let certain people on there for some tiny updates or to let mvp++ have access a bit earlier (after all this is a buisness that wants to sell ranks), but when bugs need to be tested, just let everyone on there. And yeah having achievements that you get rewarded for seems like a really good Idea. Maybe not even special items but just like godpots or coins.

3:18 uuuhm the mage dmg was defo bugged outside of dungeons as well I was doing 200k per hit with 100mil midas staff after update, now I’m back to normal 2mil

oh yeah i just found a bug where the ghost items dont work and the bows were like shortbows so i just killed a shadow assassin with the healing bow

by the way, there is another dungeon wipe, but it seems to be a lot more rare, happens w/ sack of sacks, and items that aren't supposed to be in there, being teleported into there. lost my necron boots and bonzo staff RIP. I've heard from a few people around me that they got some valuable items lost.

I think the reason why ability damage got reduced is a bug related to mage's passive "effective spells". They probably accidentally reversed it's effects Somehow

Yeah theres ZERO way im ever playing skyblock for this reason Another MMORPG would have files to restore my stuff, they just dont care.

Literally rolling back the server would do more good , I know the hypixel admin probably have a lot of stress and pressure on their shoulders but a roll back fixes most of these problems when implemented with the correct patch.

nice. i had like 1B networth and after a week of not logging on i logged on to all my stuff gone. day after my island got wiped and the day after i got banned. i did nothing btw and NOONE knew my pass or anything. the worst thing is i can't do anything about it

Seeing this from a dev perspective the changes made Sense, but the Skyblock code is really complexe so this cant be avoided but should have been noticed coming by the Admins

My opinion: 1. They need better support team that can help for lost items and coins due to bugs. It doesnt matter if its in beta, if its in beta then players should be compensated for any items being lost due to bug. As someone who has lost billions to an inventory wipe, with thousands of views on my forum post/video + being put into hell castle's video/being responded by Jayavarmen, i never received any compensation. This just saddens me. Not only will this kind of support absolutely ruin the game, but it would also cause the admins to gain a much worse reputation. 2. Better bug testing. Such as, a professional team of testers as Powliner mentioned, and using the alpha network more effectively as Powliner mentioned.

I Remember the 50/50 bug I found a way to keep some of the stuff on ah and sold so 1month after for 60m

What mod and or setting was used to put the sidebar at the bottom at 10:30

actually managed to get my first ever f7 clear during the update. even got some +33% wither leggings for a 2mil profit. not that i knew that when i sold them of course. hope alternate universe me who got a +50% chestplate that sold for 400mil is happy. and f to all the alternate universe me's who got wiped...

rng for warden heart was also bugged and i dropped a heart but it didnt at the same time so i lost a bunch of coins

When this update came out, i wasn't able to play the game (vacation stuff) and im glad i didn't because im an ironman player and i spend most of my time doin dungeon

One of my friemds got a 50% sa set so he 5 stared it rej 5 ancient and hpb and tested it my dmg with necron is lile 3-5m with it, it was 10m!
