Thank you so much for sharpening this with us. When I I was in 4th grade I was a bench player and barely got any playing time, I just ran around and averaged below 1 point a game, couldn’t get rebounds, and no one would pass to me, I had no confidence and felt like I was trapped in a box like a ghost it seemed like I was forgotten and I couldn’t break through and I would be stuck as a bench player and people would make fun of me for being trash, and I wanted to be good so bad, but luckily a few years I moved towns, far away from my old one and transferred schools and I was in 8th grade I wanted improve so I watched these good basketball players and how they went in with such a fiery intensity and how the crowds cheered them on, then I realized that I could be those players that player could be me and one day I found out there was a court near hear so I went to the park everyday and played basketball a hour in a half every day for five months and I improved a lot and that was when I realized there was another part of me that I never knew and sure was hell not a bench player, it was someone that had confidence someone that could control the game, score 30+ points and have the crowd cheering me on, it felt like I broke out of the box and that ghost transformed into something new leaving the bad behind and now that I have broken out my restriction I am ready to be the player that I always wanted to be in this new season and one day I’ll be able to show my old teammates that I am not the bench player they knew me as, but something knew that they couldn’t stop.

This has come out a lot for me, the first time was a couple years ago. It was the finals and we were down 11 with 3 minutes to go I went on a 10-0 run by myself so we were only down one with 30 seconds to go. A teammate gets an interception but for some reason the referee calls it a foul and we lose the game. Anyways for people that don’t wanna buy the masterclass in all the games that came out in me I just thought ‘fuck it’ ‘fuck what the coach thinks’ ‘fuck what coach tells me to do.’ Basically just go out and play your hardest and if you’ve got decent skills you’ll score consistently
