I don’t expect anyone to believe me, but..I think I am the reason Abyss became X-Divison champion… Back in January of 2011, after winning the champion, the TNA Facebook page posted a picture of Abyss with the TNA Television Championship. I made a comment that stated “You know, if Abyss wins the X-Division title, he will be the second man to ever be a Grand Slam Champion.” The comment got a ton of likes and comments, but I didn’t think much of it. Low and behold, a couple months later, Abyss won the X title. Coincidence? Probably…
It's actually got resurrected a couple years ago, it's pretty amazing with guys like Rich Swann, TJP, and especially Josh Alexander, with he and tjp having a 1 hour iron man match for the belt, so while they did kill it for a while, it's back
I dunno about the Canadian destroyer being the most famous wrestling move of all time, deffo a case for it being so in modern wrestling, but more famous than the leg drop ?? DDT ?? Figure 4 ?? Sharpshooter?? Stunner ?? RKO ?? 619 ?? etc etc other than that great video as always !
I loved the time when I think Don Wet was Amazing Reds manager and hyped all the way up. The man is a legend. Would love to see him in NJPW vs Kota or will Osprey or in AEW vs Sammy or Darby.
The X-Division, oh man, I can watch it forever and helped made TNA the hottest wrestling promotion in the world. From AJ Styles to Samoa Joe, there will never be greats like them ever
didnt watch tna back then… now I watch impact frequently and I think the x division could be more than what it is… rn the storylines are honor no more, bullet club, but the champion trey miguel is barely on tv… sucks
I neeeeeever understood why they didn't just change it to the Intercontinental title or US title after styles won it from booker T. It would have elevated the title and the company as well in my opinion. And made the belt really matter it was one of the best looking belts Ive ever seen to this day.
@@charlesminor6279 Kevin Nash held the legends title basically half of the old WWE guys held the major TNA championships like world championship and Tag championship Mick Foley as world champion was good but having hogan and flair competing at there old age wasn't right same with Nash and Hall TNA died when all the old WWE guys left like Angle Flair hogan ect and bad booking and poor storylines it's still around with impact and has better reputation.
If Sammy Guevara got fired from AEW, it would be justified, 3 strikes you're out. Amazing Red did deserve better. He was the goat of the division. Jay Lethal became a huge, mega, indie star, legend, thanks to TNA parting ways. I love RVD. I met him, and grateful for him staying for us. I didn't mind RVD, being the Triple H/Double J of TNA. I agree with you on Abyss.
Petey Williams wasn’t really that good. Amazing red had a major injury. Other problem is you need a big name to carry the title and you didn’t really have any tna in the beginning that can carry the titles.
