You gotta watch these more than once cos the jokes come so thick and fast. Morris is a genius, master of wordplay, absurdity and general silliness. Can highly recommend Brass Eye, Jam and 4 lions
Brilliant as always, thank you both for revisiting and reacting to this groundbreaking comedy classic. As absurd as some of this is, it has a real bearing on how media reports and influences global events and lives, at the hands of government and organisations.
Wait what?!?!? A reaction channel?!?!? What in the frecking hell do people expect, just another clip without you two and your awesome commentary? Some people are sooooo silly. They haven't a clue what real fun is. Love you two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤🥰
Not sure if you noticed, but the house that Suzanna Geckaloid stopped her vehicle at was the same family that was featured earlier with the child who lost his family "in the war".
I’d be interested in off the wall stuff that our American cousins watch. Stuff that may not have made it over here but considered canon in comedy history.
Indeed a magnificent episode. The war narrative is peak The Day Today. It absolutely foresaw how modern television would cover the invasion of Iraq and other conflict zones with smart-drone cameras. Also the uber-propaganda belt of WMDs and other excuses stoking the firing. Glad I got to watch this with yous. And I'm quite enjoying Brad's opening with off the rails rants. Please keep them going. I have a list of topics you can have on request!
I clearly remember during the first Gulf War, 1990? I'd have been 18 and it was a quiet night in the pub so I announced I was going home to watch the war. If you know you know.
"It's time for episode five of The Day Today, named after me". What does he mean by that, what does he meeean, what does he mean by that?! 👀 Yes, I am going to keep randomly replying to your uploads every now and again with the same premise. What do I mea... You know what. Much love! ❤
Given your taste in comedy, I think you would enjoy "The Savage Eye - The Catholic Church". It's Irish, a collection sketches. Very much in the spirit of "Brasseye" with obvious "Father Ted" vibes. I think it's brilliant, as good as anything I've seen in terms of it's message and very funny.
You guys are my fave Canadians on RU-vid. As they say here in Ireland, "Keep her lit!" (just means "keep up the good work" btw, nothing weird 😆you can verify that on Google)
I've got TDT on dvd, can watch it (again) online... I'm here to watch you guys see it. It's nice if you guys enjoy humour I do - that's the thing with reaction videos, how stuff translates across cultures is the interesting bit. You guys watch Trailer Park Boys? Top Canadian export. There's a certain class of people that are into Chris Morris and his work, the satire is pitch-black and (a self congratulatory) clever in the skewering of news. I'm guessing (hoping) you move on to Brass Eye and it's frankly terrifying how prescient it was. If you do film reactions??? Four Lions Morris' film is a masterpiece.
It always confuses me when people complain about reaction channels reacting. Or when the person running the channel promises not to speak as much or pause as much. If I want to see without reaction or comment, I would t be watching a reaction video.
