@UCn4W9J79Hdg-3f2B5HWmOZg You said it though. Just a character. If you look around you can see videos seeing that he isn’t really like that. I can understand really Disliking a genuine character of a man, but you know it’s an act and it still bothers people as grown men? I just don’t get it.
There's an interview with the Schmo when he's in the gym that is also really genuine. He definitely breaks character at times which is kinda nice to see
@@mannyr476 Him and DC have wrestled and trained together, and DC recruited/scouted him for a college team back in the day. So they've spent a decent amount of time together and you can tell he respects DC.
@@tengo257 taking down a number is easy, taking down Colby is not. Usman can’t take down a number, therefore he can’t take down Colby. Is what he’s implying.
Tbh... I change my mind about Colby’s Brazil comments. Originally all that crap made me not me like him (character or not, makes no difference). But the Brazilian fans kind of deserved it. I have nothing against Brazilians generally, but if you’re gonna tell a guy he will die, you have to be able to handle what he throws back at you. And obviously he said it for notoriety more than anything else.
I learned how to pick up girls from Jorge Masvidal, 100% success rate. i pick any girl i want, i run at them full speed, knock them out cold, then smash them while they’re unconscious. #SuperNecessary
Colby is real committed to his entertainer persona. Even when he's in the middle of saying some real shit from the heart he'll turn around & throw some bs in there lmao.
Yup, I thought it might be a look at the real Colby, but still paying out those excuses and lies. At least it was more real than most of his interviews.
Man is it me or does Daniel seem like the coolest guy to be around, seems like a great dude who seems genuinely interested in the people he talks to, thats a great thing to have
@@bendover7841 I couldn't give a monkeys what you think or anyone else. Give dc a big kiss on the ass when you see him. Sorry i didn't mean to trigger a fanboy. Peace out muppet!
@@patstaysuckafreeboss8006 People can paint their finger nails if they want, it doesn't matter to me. But I would be highly suspicious of them since it isn't normal. There's probably something wrong with them. Like people with face tattoos.
At times he talks a lot of painful shit but I love watching him in the octagon, he just NEVER EVER gives up. Amazing attitude and I for one would love to see Colby lift the strap. 👊👊
I love how everyone tries to get Colby to drop the gimmick and no matter who it is he just doubles down, even DC can't get Covington to break character.
The cardio king response was perfect. He acknowledged that it's heavy, but that kind of heaviness hasn't stopped him before. His mind is in the right place. Love that he said everything has a purpose and even if it's an act, it serves as fuel. That shit takes grit.
Colby is hilarious. There are people who can't grasp what he's doing. He's brilliant. Great interview. DC and Bisping are both killing the RU-vid game!
The Balls on this young man. He has been fooling the marks the whole time. He is clean, mean and has real respect for the sport and mentors like DC and Chael. He has given Usman the hardest battle to date and destroyed the rest. I hope he gets to make his dream come true as Usman has. Good luck kid
He’s going to need more than luck. He has to be willing to do something he’s never done in order to become something he’s never been the other side of the coin reads he hast to become something he’s never been in order to do something he’s never done. We haven’t seen anything different other than isolated training. Walking hypocrite proof is in the pudding go back and watch all the videos up-to-date says he don’t live in the past also says that he thinks about revenge every day LOL…He is a tough young blood. Transformation is what his higher self is seeking. Will he make the metamorphosis happen is ultimately the question
Colby is a warrior always has been, he’s a good dude too, he’s always doin shit for our troops and first responders, anyone who sleeps on him or thinks he’s done if he loses he’s done, is wrong, he’s a true fighter mad respect for him, a lot of haters should watch this interview..,.
If he loses there’s no way he’ll be done fighting. He loves it and also losing to usman isn’t a big hit the career exactly. Man I hope he pulls it off in another great fight and then they can run the trilogy fight back.
@Hisham Malik LOL bro we shat on the middle east for at least a solid decade straight. nah no way yall are acting like you got the W, because we finally got out of that shit hole. That's crazy
@@RoninxDD lol what? How did we get our asses handed to us by a bunch of illiterate apes wearing dresses? Please explain. We unfortunately destroyed the Middle East. Go look how many Taliban and extremist groups died over there opposed to us soldiers. The numbers aren’t even close. You’re delusional
Man, notice how colby says thanks brother to DC in the end. He looks upto DC and respects him too much. I really hope colby gets it done. He deserves it!
@@fazzykhan273 You lack comprehension skills. He talked about Colby, how that means "Kamaru's work ethic doesn't mean anything?". Can you see the jump you did and how many things you assumed? To even say "Kamaru is clearly the hardest working champ in UFC", dude, stop assuming things you don't know. Effort CAN'T be measured. You can't compare how hard someone is working, IF Kamaru's body could handle more work, that doenst mean he works harder than a guy that can handle less work. Maybe the other guy is giving 100% and Kamaru is giving 90%, but his 90% is more work than the other guy. Who is working harder? The other guy. See how this is one of the stupidiest things someone can possibly say? It's subjective, and only you can say how much you're pushing your own body. People outside can't measure or judge how hard you work. There is no room for "not working hard enough" at the top. Stop assuming things and taking then as reality.
@@tommygalandria267 Yep and Stipe got him back, Not sure if DC was an eye poker before he realised how effetive a tactic it is after getting beat down by roided eye poking but absolute savage fighting machine Jones. All I'm saying is a lot of winners push the rules!!
@@fahadb8611 Remember when Dc cheated at the weigh in against Anthony Johnson and how he poked Stipe Miocic like 30 times and stipe had to take surgery
DC is a gem in this sport man!! Colby is a different dude then what he portrays,he's a good guy who has put nothing but hardwork and dedication to reach this spot.Love Usman but I'll be equally happy if Colby get it done this weekend.
Where do u HEAR humility there? Idiot still making stupid excuses. He was dropped and blodied. Listen to the words not the tone. Same Shite he's been saying all along nothing new or better or more respectful to the fact he was beaten.
Everyone that has ever trained with him hates him. That should tell you something. Even POS Jon Jones says he's a terrible person. Anyone can be nice to DC for 10 minutes in front of a camera. There's no humility here...it's fake.
I gotta say DC, that was a brilliant interview you did. The questions, the way you lead the interview and the way you was able to break down Colby to show the real him. You've really took it to a new level in this new career! Double Champ!
@@emilovesyou3005 they are both from small towns in Oregon and both were great college wrestlers there so I would think he would be. Not sure tho. They are probably friends
What are the odds that he would be associated with one of the greatest rivalries in UFC history? Recruited by D.C. for wrestling and roommates with Jon Jones in College. Small World.
@Ivey 96 I wouldn't say that. Wrestling is huge all over the world. Hell they wrestle in Germany, France, U.K now, Italy, Russia, Romania, Canada, Mexico, just to name a few.
@@tatsuyakobayashitavares5001 DANIEL CORMIER WORLD CLASS DIRTY TRICK LIST !!! WHY HE IS NOT THE GOAT 1. Eyepoking Stipe over 20 times till Stipe had to get eye surgery and is permantly damaged to the point where he has to wear glasses. 2. Cheating at the weigh in against Anthony Johnson by pressing down the towel to get the weight. He shouldn't have been able to fight for the championship since Anthony Johnson made weight fair and square. 3. Ko'ing Stipe Miocic only because of Eyepokes. The knockout punch is the one you don't see coming. Almost a year before the fight he ate Francis Ngannous best shots and stayes standing. He also ate DC's best shots in the 2nd and 3rd fight and stayed standing. The cheater only knocked out Stipe because he blinded him with a eyepoke. 4. Only gave Stipe the rematch because he was scared to fight Ngannou after Brock Lesnar declined. Dc should have fought Ngannou but the ,,natty goat🤣" didn't want to fight him and thought stipes chin was done so he gave him the rematch instead. 5. Fighting underweight fighters like Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson. Both weighed less then 200lbs on fight night while Dc weighed aroudn 220lbs on fight night. People like to say Dc was old in the Stipe rematch but faile to realise DC beat to 42+ year old fighters in his career 🤣 6. Sore loser that will not accept defeat. If you pay attention all great fighters like Stipe Miocic, Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua etc. pay respect after win or loss. Dc on the other hand after he loses either leaves the octagon instantly, crys in the ocagon on national tv and is mad at the person that beat him for the rest of his life!!!
VERY glad to see DC handle this man with respect on his platform, no shots, no baits, ALL genuine conversation, as much as colby will allow. He does have a personality to flaunt just like every entertainer has. Can't believe I subscribed to Sonnon before DC.
As someone who has been swayed by the media to dislike Colby Covington, this interview made me actually root for him. Not just from the fact that he is human but that he has had to fight from the bottom. And that’s something I feel like I can relate to. Kamaru has his own battles as well. I just feel like I have a bigger sense of respect for Colby. He just had to do what he had to do to survive….
Damn Mr.Cormier, your interviews are effing legit! Everyone seems to open up more for your interviews. Your questions, vibe, and energy definitely make this. Keep them coming good man.
Much easier to open up and talk about your profession with someone you know for a fact went through what you did. It's a different level of respect. Guys like Ariel are fine for the sport, but their interviews won't be as genuine as a fighter just talking to a fighter
If Colby pulls off the upset when he's already the betting underdog there's no way in hell Dana White waits to make the trilogy it's automatically booked if Colby beats Usman and as well as it should be. Usman vs Covington is proving to be one of the greatest rivalries in ufc history.

Oh yes because the confrontation with brock lesnar and Ryan Bader were so authentic. He actually strikes me as the opposite, a WWE character. Not to mention during the first fight his bias towards Usman was clearly evident.
Dc bringing that fire interview. Dc has always had a lot of respect for Colby. And even more so Colby has said several times that he believed at one point that Dc was the goat of mma when he was the double champ.
