Todays challenge was taking the old sitting forest aquarium and turning it into a functional aquarium again! This time I decided to try out a blackwater tank... Adding botanicals like Indian Almond leaves will turn the water an orange color,. These "tannins" are large organic molecules that not only alter the aesthetic of your tank, but have beneficial properties for your fish and other inhabitants as well!
