People...People... When a really good music is played for you, don't wanna miss out on anything. You just stand there, grasping as much as you can and appreciate it. Jack shows one of his multi-talentedness.
I don't know how I've become so addicted to this band. I can't stop listening to them or watching performance videos. I loved The White Stripes and I love The Kills and I think my The Dead Weather love is eclipsing both of those bands. They are just that amazing.
@Otie Jason you’re obviously trolling. A show is a show. When you’re in it it’s all energy the music is there. But the energy is what makes a show a show. I’d be kicking ass with you Hannahbelle! 🤘🏾😆🤘🏾
Actually, Jack started out playing drums, he had two sets that took up most of the space in his room. He discusses it in the brilliant film "It Might Get Loud".
I have to admit. When I saw them live, they opened up with "60 Feet Tall" and during that entire first song I did not dance, I did not scream, I just stood there with my jaw dropped. It was amazing.
If I had seen this before actually hearing album or even hearing before ever, I would be stunned and standing there with a big grin on my face. Definitely a good looking show. I can't wait to you guys at Bonnaroo this summer.
Just got back from a show in Billings, MT, and needed a third encore. We made this crowd look like the suburban housewives they are. We rocked the place!
My 8-years-old sister loves this song, and so do I :) Great performance, in my opinion. I'd love to see them live, and I think I won't miss their concert the next time they'll visit Poland. If they will, of course :D
Im about to put all your little minds at ease...The reason the crowd appears to suck is because this is the first time most of those people are hearing the songs. This show was on 6/17/09, while the album wasnt released until 7/14/09. Think about when youve been at a show and the band played a new one you hadnt heard yet. This set was full of them. An amazing show to be at (I wasnt). Im sure alot of those people wish they could go back and do it again, now that they know and love the songs.
@Zurahification this was recorded in june 2009, before the album came out ... it was probably the first time this poeple heard the band ...and abviously the public wasn't into this king of music
@awquity i think they are simply stunned by alison's beauty and voice and jack's pure talent:) too stunned to react... i know i would be if i got to see them live. maybe one day...
THIS is what shows should be about. I mean sure, it's not "album perfect", but it's REAL with emotion and ... just awesome. I'd have a real performance over lipsyncing any day. Any artist resorting to auto-tune or lipsyncing will always be insignificant compared to REAL music, made with heart and soul.
i think this is the show where they performed for a bunch of a list celebs and jack stood up and starting cussing the crowd out because they had their back turned and were just talking.
@PoppyShrimptonMusic They aren't for sell anymore. So the only way you could get them is if you found them on ebay or some place like that. It's really sad because they are amazing shoes(:
@smallinson I often just look at the show, without doing really anything - yet, it sure as hell doesn't mean I'm not enjoying it, even if I'm not spinning my head, waving my hands all over the place, bumping people with my elbows etc. Why? I actually like to look at the band perform. And whenever the song's over, I clap, wave, shout enthusiasticly, etc. Just like they did. So come on, don't be hating on people who wanna keep staring at awesomeness and concentrate :D
Because, he is a multi-instrumentalist, also, he played drums before he played guitar. He can also play the bass (my doorbell on jools holland), the mandolin (little ghost on "get behind me satan") Piano on multiple stripes, and raconteurs albums. The keys on the rac's albums are the reason Dean Fertita had to tour with them.. Mikeeylee is right, for "will there be enough water" jack is on acoustic guitar, and lj plays drums. Dean is on bass for "rocking horse", and lj plays the guitar.
