Awesome video Dean, enjoyed hearing the VK story. Crap ending with the rocker and engine situation. Looking forward to seeing more of this old girl in future 💪😎
Hey dean g love the channel and your beasty vk . I have the twin of your car and in the process of doing an ls swap also any recommendations on which ls platform to start on i was thinking lq9
I had a lot of success with the factory alloy ls3 block for a long time, i only went to the lsx because i couldn't get a ls3 block in the time frame i needed it, (its a 110lbs sacrifice). If you are not going any kind of power added N2o, turbo, supercharged i would stay ls3
@@irontiger9632 i would save some extra pennies and throw it towards a dart or lsx platform in that instance so you are starting things off with the best foundation. thanks for the kind words !!
howd you go about engeneering something like this? cant find anyone who will touch non boosted brakes or filtere out bonnet haha just know a guy who knows a guy?
As far as engineering those particular things, your field of view must not be obstructed 11ft in-front of centerline of front axle and as far as the non booster brake pedal, as long as the car passes a break test, (set out by the standard of what state you are in) being assisted should more so be a preference.
Is the 6 point cage engineered in Victoria? If so I'm going to have to move states! because NSW won't allow it, only a half cage with the rear seat deleted
@@metalmaster6897 unfortunately from state to state it varies a lot. although head clearance is on of the main engineering challenges and removable bars do make it a lot easier also. States sounds like a lot of fun though.
