My brother is attending an SDA Church this morning. This is new to him, as he's not SDA. Please pray he stays with it to the glory of God. Praise God. Thanks and God bless all. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
If you go straight to heaven when you die I would imagine Lazarus would have been absolutely upset with JESUS to take him out of heaven and bring him back to this world full of sin and temptation. I know would have been .
Thank you pastor Rayan for bringing this crucial topic for me personally to the light and explain it from the scripture. I am attending a SDA church now for a bout a year and the parable of Lazarus and the rich man before listening to you was my biggest question for I was sure that Jesus told a true story! Thank God for using you to clarify it for me today. May God bless brother
Hello friend, you might find this helpful "Does Matthew 10:28 prove that the soul is separate and eternal from the body?" 3abnbibleanswers.com/are-the-body-and-soul-separate/?hilite=matthew+10%3A28 Blessings
I usually explain it to people like this. Imagine a football game. 34sec left and the winning team is celebrating. The announcers are calling the game. Team A has won the game. But in fact, the game is technically not over. There is still 34sec left. The point is, at that time, the game is decided. Just like the thief on the cross. The decision is already made. When Christ returns, he will be with him in paradise. From that moment, the thief was/will be with God.
In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, if only the rich man's finger was on fire, he wouldn't be able to carry on a coherent conversation. Instead, he would be screaming uncontrollably.
One reason is because tomorrow isn't promised, and we only have today to make our calling and election sure in choosing Jesus and His salvation. Of course, there are other reasons too, but this one is paramount.
I've attended several funerals over the years. And the curious thing is that every funeral speaker claimed the deceased person went to heaven. Most of the people I've met in my county, don't believe in God. So, it's unlikely that all the deceased went to heaven.
Funeral speakers almost always do their best to comfort the grieving by saying their deceased loved one is in heaven. It's what the majority of people today believe anyway.🤷🏽♀️
@@AlmondJoie my main point is that all deceased persons aren't going to be saved, like funeral preachers seem to suggest. However, the wicked dead are still dead, and their destruction is a future event.
@ruffledchips9055, I have always hear this saying and it sound so true,, but the word of God has differ from this saying,,ALL WILL BE IN THE GRAVES UNTIL THE TIME IS RIGHT!
@@awordstephens936 That is a human saying. However, it does correspond to what the Bible says. The dead saints will come back to life at Jesus' second coming. And the wicked dead will come to life, 1000 years later. The saints are raised with eternal life, and immortal bodies. But the wicked aren't raised with eternal life. The raised wicked will live only long enough to stand before the final executive judgment. Then fire comes down, and burns up both the wicked, and this old earth. So the burning of the wicked takes place on the surface of the earth, and not in the middle of the earth. So the final destruction of the wicked won't take place until you see this entire earth on fire.
@@ruffleschips9055 but what the preachers are saying DOES NOT correspond with the word of God,, because if you die now and are at Jesus side then why is Jesus coming back, there's no sense of Him coming back to earth when everyone is already there; now all those who are dead ( whether by old age, gun, knives, cutlass, etc) are in their graves until the first and second trumpet sound, ( whether in the sea, earth, cremated, buried at sea) will be rise to life eternal or eternal punishment;
