I got Mappy on the Pac-Man 35th Anniversary Plug N’ Play console and also on Namco Museum DS. The worst part was in this game is that you end up getting surrounded by the Meowkies…
The Game Gear version has the best game over screen, but the arcade version and the '90s home ports all have great high score screens, and the Famicom version is my favourite to play overall.
My thoughts about the death animations Arcade: Original. Sord M5 / MSX: No spin animation. NES / Famicom / Famicom mini: Pretty close as the arcade but not quite the same. Sharp X1: The spinning part is skipped. Sharp MZ-700 / Sharp MZ-1500: The death music is funny but it uses Mappy's bouncing sprite rather than his death sprite. and one more thing: > < Sharp MZ-2500: The death animation is a bit slowed and doesn't match much well as the arcade's one. Epoch Super Cassette Vision: Very slow music is so funny. Fujitsu Micro 7 / FM-7: Same as in Sharp X1 one, but with the Game over being the same as in NES version. NEC PC-6001mkII/SR / NEC PC-6601/SR: Looks pretty close like the arcade's one, but Mappy spins in 4 directions instead of 8. NEC PC-8001mkII SR (1st): no pause upon losing a life. NEC PC-8001mkII SR (2nd): Almost the same as the arcade version Sharp X1 (New Version): Slightly slow spinning part. Game Gear: Same as the Arcade version. in addition, it has a unique game over screen! Game Boy / Super Game Boy: Very fast spinning of the NES version. It will not say anything about Mappy Arrangement one becuase it is different, and neither the PSX, PC Windows, JAKKS Pacific or the DS versions because they're the same as the Arcade.
No guys, I did not to touch Red cats and gang of Pink Cats will not caught Mappy Mouse. Mappy Mouse will use Microwave door to attack cats I will get points for Mappy Mouse 🐭
I still have MAPPY for my PlayStation 2 in a compilation called NAMCO MUSEUM 😺👍. If only this game would have been also for the Commodore 64 and Amiga 😹.
Conversation of spinning deaths in history 0:25 normal sf the string sometimes fades 0:43 the spinning fades completely but the sound is fine. It’s long delayed due to game over. When life lost sound ends. 0:55 cool pretty cool feature, huh? 1:12 the spinning fades completely when the life lost sound ends it crashes due to game over. 1:25 the spinning part is skipped 1:50 & 2:06 very extreme game over sound is funny it crashes due to anything special and one more thing: >< 2:20 so cool 2:30 my favorite because it’s a little bit slowed down not the same as any other game just more bodies 2:47 XD 3:07 lots of power and not the same as any other games just more bodies 3:24 super perpendicular and not the same as any other games just more bodies 3:45 third favorite because it’s a little bit slow down and not the same as any other games just more bodies 4:03 second favorite because it’s not the same as any other games just more bodies 4:29 fourth favorite at the moment I used Samsung’s charger for this version, but it charges very slowly 4:49 sounds so cold 5:12 sounds so horrible it occurs the mystery Knox xylophone, trumpet violin, electric bass, piano banjo, accordion ukulele, guitar drums, rocker job lift creation, stiff, stop error, Steph, low battery and FS_DIR.C 0631 all at the same time 5:29 sounds a bit strange 6:01 & 6:24 oh dear, it’s moving too fast! 6:40 correct answer: the booze 6:59 sounds like the other one that was sounding very horrible in condition guys 7:21 Windows 98 crash and that’s it 7:42 sounds very chill actually 8:01 the violet, frontier, purple, pioneer, and indigo action is very chic 8:20 same as the arcane
