The Floyds are distant relatives of mine. My great grandmother was Josie Mae Floyd who was married to Roy Levi Roberts. I'm doing research on the Floyds for a family project. Thanks for the help.
@@adventuremanusa8813 Me too! I don't know if there's many Floyds left but it'd be interesting if there were. I'd love to get to know some of my distant family and hear stories about them. Next year I'm going to be going on a road trip and I just might check things out for myself. :) Thank you!
My great great grandfather and his brother were both police officers in East Liverpool, Ohio, and both contributed to the eventual end of Charles Floyd (Pretty Boy Floyd). Watched a movie depicting the life of Charles, and found this gem. Three years late so I can't help with the project lol, but it's interesting to see how the lives of my ancestors played a role in the life of yours.
Thank you for this video. I fly there often and I’ve informed plenty of people the marker isn’t where he was shot it’s somewhere in the back of the airfield
It was the opposite side of the road that is there now that the farm house stood. Until recently the chimney of the old house was still standing. Pictures of it matched perfectly. So the road has moved since back then. Local legend says he was actually captured, questioned, then shot at close range, he wasnt running from them. And yes, idiots have shot the marker. But that's where stories told from old timers compared to what was published in the papers makes one wonder how long we've been being fed misinformation all along! Not a political debate, just how much we rely on the news to tell the actual truth...... which hasn't happened for decades!
And 75 years later the FBI still thinks that Floyd and Richetti were in on the Kansas City Massacre. Since its inception, the FBI are legends in their own minds.
the picture of the car in the tree is a late 40's car, must have time traveled back to 1934. other accounts have PBFloyd not alone and more of a flat tire and searching for a spare, scenario.
The gunfight that ended his death ? How exactly do you end ones death ? Did he resurrect because he was immortal ? Or did you mean the gun fight that ended his life ? Also , this is more of a documentary than an adventure
Okay, now you're just nitpicking. I said, "the gunfight that ended in his death," but my Midwest accent turned the "in" to a " 'n ," and the lousy audio on my camera didn't even pick that up. You knew what I meant. Living a life of everyday adventure means that you find the best opportunities you can for new and exciting experiences. They can't always be grand or death-defying. Someday when I'm rolling in the dough, I'll do episodes where I parachute into eastern Afghanistan, or ascend the Matterhorn, or hike across the Holy Land for 40 days and nights. Until then, I'm gonna have to settle for the occasional documentary.
