This is just so true. After their suspension voting right on the UN Humane Council, the Russian flat out said that they will resign afterwards due to this. They still have a seat in that Council just not the right to vote on anything but that suspension was “too harsh” for Russia so they quit. Russia never recognized the "Independence" of Chechnya and reclaimed it after Islamists invaded Dagestan.
