You're kind of missing the point. It doesn't actually make much sense to speak English in a Russian accent - if you translate the language, you may as well translate the culture too. To communicate how diverse they all are, you need people to hear *regional* differences. That's why Jason Isaacs's general is a brash Yorkshireman and Rupert Friend as the son sounds posh because he's basically aristocracy. This is not a new concept. It's why everyone in Aladdin sounds either English or Californian as opposed to Arab - so Western audiences can detect the different characters.
Steven Cassidy That was _so_ funny! One of the biggest laughs early on. They gave him the voice of like a grubby little secondary character in a Guy Ritchie film! Really portrayed Stalin's syndicate as little more than a crime family.
