Words cannot express how amazing the cinematography is for zack snyder's films...

The fact that his old bully was there and the pastor Clark turned to during the events on MoS when Zod showed up was also, most fans won't notice but I'm glad the continuity is there, the characters, places and world. They aren't given much screen time but they do have a role (even if just a small minor one) in Clark's life, which in then makes Superman who he is. It's his interactions with these individuals as well as the people of Earth that helped mold the Man of Steel.

This whole Batman Superman thing is actually a great lesson for aspiring filmmakers about the importance of editing, and letting your movie breathe. I got chills from that extended first minute that wasn't in the theater edition. Those little moments are too important in film.

All Henry Cavill fans right now… thank you Henry and Zack for giving us a real superman. A superman who wasn’t known for his invincibility, but rather his vulnerability; his humanity. It’s sad to think that we may never see the rest of what your superman had to show. You loved the character and put your heart into portraying him, hence why we loved you. Excited to follow your future endeavours in film - you’re a brilliant and humble actor!

I love the contrast between Superman’s funeral & Clark Kent’s funeral. To the world he is an icon, and a symbol of hope, but to his family he’s a son, a lover, and a friend. Peel back the powers and the suit and he’s just a simple farm boy from Kansas who wants to do right.

Won't lie that I jumped on the bandwagon of hating on this movie at the time, but 4 years & many formulaic superhero movies later, I finally started to appreciate BvS of how it stands out among most of them in terms of style. And not just me as I noticed many are starting to appreciate it now more than ever, that alone speaks for itself. I'd say it's already becoming a classic that aged well so far.

I always thought that it was a plothole, because I was like how come anyone didn't think Clark's funeral was Superman funeral, 0:16 they actually covered it up in the newspaper. It clearly made it seem that Clark was killed as a reporter during the doomsday battle. Great Job Snyder, I appreciate your work more

I watched this movie yesterday and I never knew just how emotional something like this could be. Superman's funeral scene is probably one of the saddest things that I have ever seen. He was never a soldier, but the fact that he was given this kind of funeral was too much for me.

But still BvS is 100,000 times better than justice league. Superman in JL movie wasn't "Superman" rather than "superbuffed". And Steppenwolf and the other characters in JL were nerfed so that they can't overpower the resurrected version of dceu Superman.

You know damn well the government would be disecting his body if it was actually there.

There's something about Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes which brings a tremendous power to the remembrance of a human life.

The Cinematography, Music, Set Design, Colour Grading etc of this movie are beyond epic. I would prefer watching selected scenes from this movie before I breathe my last.

I gotta be honest when I was watching this at IMAX after seeing my girl and everybody crying. I did shed some tears. Between this, Mufassa's death, and Vegeta's Final Atonement have been the most emotional scenes I've ever seen/experienced.

Damn, the dog beneath the casket broke my heart soo bad! Also the only thing he carries to the grave is a picture of his pa Kent. The ring scene also made me tear..

Synder’s Trilogy seemed so ahead of its time.

The death of Superman wasn’t rushed, meaningless, or for naught. It was the catalyst for change. A world once divided on his actions & intentions, now united by his sacrifice. They stopped seeing him as an alien threat & started looking up to him as the worlds greatest hero. Batman v Superman used this moment to move the story and the world it exists in forward. How can it be meaningless when it is a pivotal moment in Superman’s growth & journey? I thought it was brilliant how they took this iconic story & made it the reason the world loves him. I know some people just wanted a rehash of the comic, but this Superman wasn’t beloved by the world yet. He was a figure of controversy bc of what he could do & the power he had. So they put that to rest by making him do something truly Superman; put everyone else before himself. And so for the first time in that world, they all SAW Superman for who he is. Not an alien, or a god, but a man trying to do the right thing. Someone with power who is innocent. A protector of the planet, and a symbol they could be inspired by & look up to. MoS was a first contact sci-fi film that introduced an all-powerful alien to the world. BvS explored the political & societal ramifications of it & the consequences of his heroic actions. So how do they turn this controversial figure into a hero in the eyes of the world? I just thought it was a really clever concept utilising an iconic story that was beautifully executed, and ultimately, incredibly hopeful. As a lifelong Superman fan, that’s all I can ask for & I can understand why it has such a passionate fanbase.

Superman’s coffin has the same colors as the black suit that he wore in justice league. That’s pretty symbolic

I'm sure Perry knew Clark was Superman and just covered for him, so no one would bother Louis and Martha with questions and not allow them to grieve in private, also all of Smallville knew but always kept the secret. Love that universe made by Zack Snyder and I wish with all my heart restored. His take on Batman was amazingly grounded on pain, loss and hopelessness until Superman came.

Snyder must be a really big fan of Frank Millers work, Batman’s suit, the constant references to “Batman TDKR” and especially at the end of this movie where the dirt on Superman’s casket moves... if anybody remembers the animated movie... Bruce is actually the one underground and he faked his death and the way Clark found out was because Bruce’s heart started to beat again and thanks to Superman’s Hearing he heard it but keeps it a secret. Snyder really is a phenomenal director!

Fun fact with the F-18s that did the flyover with one jet flying upward leaving the formation. That is called the missing man formation which represents a funeral well

Diane Lane as Martha Kent was a great casting. She really speaks and feel like a loving and caring mother. When she chuckles after she delivers the package to Lois....very tear bringing. A couple plot holes I would have loved to see explained in JL are: How Batman recovers his damaged Batwing, how they moved Clark/Supermanl/Kal body away without nobody questioning (Amanda Waller cough)
