Technology is moving so fast it is adapt or die for retailers. I expect to see delivery drones flying around regularly in a few years time in Britain.

Won't happen. They're loud and annoying, I can't imagine what a swarm of them would sound like in a built up city.
@kegza9984
@kegza9984 5 лет назад
Only thing stopping them is regulation. Noise and payload are already being solved. The issue will always be that a drone collides with another drone, a building, birds, etc and someone below gets killed

Little shops will only survive if they sell something nobody else has and at the right price to pull the people in, I travel 2 hours to a farm stall because they sell homemade produce that I can’t buy from anywhere else.

The way i see it I have 3 choices. 1) buy everything online. More choice, takes less time, and quite often costs less. 2)Shop in out-of-town retail parks. Free parking, plenty of choice, good prices, instant purchases. Or 3) go into town. The only reason I find to go into town now is to have a snoot around the charity shops.

On one end people need jobs to make a living while staying competetive on the other the consumer wants the best product for the lowest possible price in order for the investor capitalist etc to make a profit its maybe a question of competition and of innovation along with incentives.

Parking is definitely one of the biggest rip-off that’s putting people off going into town centres in the first place as well. Not to mention it’s also hindered by a lot of people not being able to park their electric cars in them because councils aren’t hurrying up and installing more charge points. I’d imagine if Amazon were to invest in that then we wouldn’t have no problem would we.

This is happening everywhere not just the UK! countries in Europe are being bled dry by the EU which is why spending is down overall.
