@@loucipher7782 I'm pretty sure that each time in the past, they assumed it was not a sound made by any of the crew. (Plus I'm sure they accounted for stuff like that.) Ryan and Shane aren't so unprofessional that they would knowingly leave in something that turned out to be crew noise. Maybe it could have been done by accident, but I doubt they would intentionally leave something like that in. The fart thing in this episode was just funny so they wouldn't edit that out.

@@loucipher7782 They did talk about checking with the crew or the people who were in the building with them whenever they looked for the source of a noise they caught though. I don't think they ever knowingly tried to hide the source of a noise they caught if they were able to figure it out

Maybe more outside or traveling with them, but it's not like a full-blown movie set crew. They talk about it in some of their post-mortem episodes. That being said, I do enjoy allowing that background crew to be more involved when it's relevant! As well as in the debriefs

Seeing "created by Ryan Bergara" in the intro was really satisfying. After Buzzfeed didn't really give Ryan the full credit he deserved for bringing Unsolved to the table, his name closing out the Ghost Files opening credits is just a really cool thing to see. I'm really glad Shane, Ryan, and Steven left to make their own company - their artistic freedom has brought some of the best content on this site, imho

Oh for sure. I think even Shane mentioned once that he is not the brave one because he doesn't believe in any of this, hence he does not feel any fear. But Ryan believes and he is afraid, but he still goes ahead and does it. That really does make him very brave...and in a weird way even braver than Shane, if you think about it :)

I am seriously impressed at Shane's ability to not give a single shit while exploring these haunted places especially doing the walks alone. Because I'm also extremely skeptical of anything supernatural, but I still get scared shitless in old dark buildings even if I know that ghosts aren't real.

The only obviously genuine ghost show. Partly because they’re not afraid to admit when they catch voices saying “Ja Rule” and “Spaghetti”, partly because Shane tries to debunk everything that ever happens, fully because you can always see the genuine fear in Ryan’s eyes lol

This is one of the things I’ve always praised them for! I never liked ghost hunting shows because it was always just a group of ‘believers’ and would freak at ‘evidence’ and it all just felt 100% fake. Like nothing felt genuine. But Shane and Ryan’s dynamic of believer and skeptic just made everything feel real. Like you have Ryan freaking out over things and Shane just chilling out. It’s a balance that actually makes the evidence they find found hold weight. They are without a doubt the best ghost hunters ever.

The huming Yankee doodle dandy ghost voice at around 07:30 might actually be one of the most believable ghost evidence I've heard. I'm full on sceptical about ghosts I've seen one in my life but easily explained as a trick of the light and being tired but after that in 24 years of life I've never seen anything else. But that I've got to say this has me intrigued

In the future, maybe y'all should write down the things you get on the spirit box and then sit down later (when you're calmer) to look at those words and phrases comprehensively and compare them against anything you know about the people who lived/died there. You could present the results in the debrief. A lot of what Shane picked up in the Estes session in room 204 could make sense, given context, when taken as a whole. You got several direct responses to your questions that you didn't recognize as answers, plus something about Annie, Dudley, and Maxine and something about a boy in a puddle. (The boy in the puddle came up more than once!) Also, at one point, the spirit seemed to realize Ryan wasn't really listening and tried to get the boys' attention by calling Shane out by name.

@@unreaLauren Thats not what he's referring to. Shane wasn't scared there and it's town lights in the background. You can see it in other rooms he walks by earlier where visibly you see town lights in every window, they just played scary music over this one and it made people look for something that wasn't there. What he's referring to is their previous show before Ghost Files, Buzzfeed unsolved waverly hills episode where Shane and Ryan are in the body chute and both really hating the vibe in there. Shane then hears a really loud demonic growl right next to him (the bodychute is rumored to have a demonic haunting), and runs full speed the other way. It is the only time in all of the episodes they aired of Buzzfeed unsolved where Shane gets legitimately scared by something. That part where he runs was cut out of the original episode, they show the behind the scenes clip on their anniversary show for buzzfeed unsolved.

@@danielanderson6933 That's fair. I like the voice answering because the person interpreting the sound isn't biased by the questions being asked. It feels more neutral in the initial position and so any possible answers that line up with the questions feel more genuine. I tend to be a skeptical believer so anything to remove biases is always a good thing to me. But I can see why people like the old spirit box; it just wasn't for me lol. I agree maybe they should play the sound the other person hears though so we can interpret it ourselves as well.

I can only imagine how grim the body chute was walking back after taking more dead down there for the nurses. I'm not surprised there was a few suicides. Nurses have and always will be the backbone of this country.

Honestly my first thought when Ryan asked about the little boy on the 5th floor and got "Human! Really! Human!" in response was more of an "I swear I'm a human! Really, I promise I am 100% a human." Surprised Ryan's demon detecting sense didn't go off.

I did an overnight investigation there a couple months back and I can say I've been to places where I felt very uneasy... but I can say that at no point did i feel uneasy at Waverly in the 7 or so hours I was there. I was in darkness with no flashlight for a good portion of the time wandering away from the investigation group with a scared curiosity repeatedly. None of the evidence we captured felt dark, well, the voice in the death tunnel was debatable...

man i have so much to say about this episode, but i specifically want to thank you guys for adding official closed captions. i'm hard of hearing (about 30% hearing loss) and my mom is nearly completely Deaf due to otosclerosis. having captions to read and help us follow this episode was SUCH a nice surprise. so many channels don't offer these accessibility options. we are so very thankful that Watcher did!

Another thank you for CCs from me. I have permanent tinnitus after running head-on into a wall as a kid, and also am 'that' kind of autistic that seeing subtitles 'helps' me hear better, so official closed captions (as opposed to automatic, computer-generated closed captions that frequently get it wrong) are SUCH an awesome thing to have, especially when the faint things are all but inaudible to me.

Yet another thank you for the CCs from me! I'm not a native english speaker and certain phrases can be a bit harder to catch / fully understand (especially when there's multiple people talking). Having the CCs saves me some time from not having to go back and relisten to a section multiple times to understand it :) very useful.
