Your English is very good and easy to understand. I'm really enjoying this series of videos. Brings back lots of memories from when I first started working in IT. We had still had some VAX and quite a few Alpha machines running OSF/1 then later Tru64 and Windows NT with massive StorageWorks arrays. Thanks

Agreed. Your (DEC Computers) English is near perfect. You can relax...there's no need to worry if you're effectively communicating. With that said, awesome content from someone who worked with the Alpha/OSF side of DEC back in the day. Thank you!

Your "kind of English" is very good. I loved this video. I wonder what it would have been like to use one of these Vax as a daily driver

Using something like this as a daily driver would be between completely impossible and very hard, depending on what you do. Or, what you would want to do, I should say, because a LOT of things most people do daily on a computer are no possible to do on this - at all, and a bunch of things can be done but in "ugly hack" ways so you probably wouldn't. But largely it depends on what kind of terminal you use and what software you have installed. If you use a VAXStation or a GUI 'terminal' as an interface you would be able to do most basic tasks with generic things on it without problem, like email etc, there are web browsers you can run, but a lot of them won't support modern XHTML pages and less yet will support modern features, plugins, scripts etc. But anyway, you'd really have to be 'hardcore' to try to use one of these things instead of a normal PC. You would have to have some modern PC next to it to do the things it can't, assuming you need to do the same kind of things most people do, or you might be able to do most of that sort of stuff with a smartphone - but you would need something else on top of having this. I mean for things like online banking, government websites you might need to log in on, buying things online, watching videos etc.

Stunning looking machines, they look like they had been cleaned restored. This motivates me to film and show and tell the DEC stuff I have.

It would be nice to see more DEC content on RU-vid :)

As mentioned, its exactly the same as the 3300 except for the CPU. That 4200 CPU card looks strange without all the memory on it! The 33/3400 card has 4MB onboard which makes for a densely packed board. Thanks,
