The Decking - the task of making good all of the decking 

This video details the re-build of the roof decking. Not obvious from the ground, the roof of MCR21 is covered in timber decking. Rather like the bodywork, the condition of the decking entailed a full strip-down, repairs and replacement of broken/rotten parts and repainting. The roof area forms a useful platform to temporarily install additional equipment such as short masts and similar paraphernalia; a recent example is the use of a satellite dish to enable working through QO-100, the amateur radio geostationary satellite.
