The definition of normal is what is common practice, or just common. Christian belief was normal in the 90s it's less normal now. It's still pretty common but nowhere near as common. Atheism is however becoming more normal and that's awesome.

It's a combination of apathy (it's not necessary) it's not true (the "Atheists") and rejection of political engagement (the "left")

Well, it certainly doesn’t help that Trump is now the mascot for Christianity, either. Since like 80% of everyone under 40 rejects his grotesque, immoral character.

Celebrating the decline of cultural Christianity is just saying, "Let us sin that grace may abound" with extra steps.

Prove it. Where is your evidence that people are "sinning" more without christianity? This is such a bogus argument. People are not leaving christianity because they want to live some depraved and debauched lifestyle. People leave the church for other reasons...

We should not be marginalized just because we're Non-religious. Kids should not have to be subjected to religion. If I have children I will teach them to accept everyone no matter who they are 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💑👩‍❤️‍👨👨‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍👩💏👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨👪🧒🧒🏻🧒🏼🧒🏽🧒🏾🧒🏿

What?? You don’t want to teach them that unless they suck up to an invisible friend, they are worthless and depraved and deserve to be tortured? But that’s the “good news!” And how else will they learn to hate everyone who lives differently than they do?

@@weirdwilliam8500are you on the spectrum or do you have no idea of what Christianity preaches.

@@clichedan7812 Since there are thousands of Christian denominations that each preach mutually exclusive things, and you could belong to any of them, I couldn't hazard to guess what you personally consider the One True Interpretation of the bible. Still, I was referring to the beliefs of the most vocal, politically active, and impactful version of Christianity, whose members want to take away civil rights and force their moral restrictions onto other people who don't share their religious beliefs. I think I described their beliefs and goals very accurately. If that's not you, then go on treating everyone kindly and not interfering with the rights of others. I also suggest you stop using autism as a derogatory slur, since that is harmful and immature.

@@weirdwilliam8500 I didn't use autism as a slur, I'm just insulting your intelligence as the whole argument of, "Invisible sky daddy tortures you for not loving him," is childish and deranged and I would only give charity to someone making such a statement if they lacked the capability to even understand the perspective. You are not on the spectrum and thus have no real excuse to be this misinformed. No where in your comment do you say, "BTW I'm only talking about the people who get their religion wrong." so the whole point of the comment is very clearly a bash against the entire religion and not a specific lampooning of crazed followers. I doubt you would be spreading such a message if you actually understood what the biblical teaching on hell and the values being called for even are. The biblical doctrine on hell is no different than the real life doctrine of self improvement. We are all animals, we do things that satiate our short term desires, this ends up screwing us over in the long run and we end up in ruts where we are slaves to our own addictions and are unwilling to change. This is hell. There is no doctrine anywhere that states God punishes you for anything, as you are already dooming yourself to destruction, he's just the one offering the way out. This is not my interpterion, this is what the book preaches and what church fathers have been saying for centuries. The most descript story we have of hell features a rich men in hell having a perfectly normal conversation with a poor man in heaven asking that he come down and provide him comfort because he doesn't want to leave. That sound like the interpretation you've heard of? You know many people who can have casual conversations while burning alive? If someone who claims to represent the faith is making a false statement about it's principles, you should correct them instead of just saying, "See guys! Nothing these people say is of any value! All they want is our downfall!" Also, you say we try to take away civil rights? What are rights to you? You have no concept of what is right or what is wrong other than whatever satiates your mind presently, and if you currently desire maximum societal prosperity and happiness, rejecting Christian principles is hypocritical to this goal, as there is not a single principle in Christianity that is harmful to the flourishing of society. Seriously, find one and I'll debunk it in an instant. We have thousands of years of history and examples showing the societies that held and didn't held Christian principles and where that got them. Just to take a recent example of the USA. In 1960, there was about 5 divorces per every 1000 marriages. In 2023, the lowest estimate is around 350. This change occurred in the wake of the sexual revolution in which society declared that the Christian notion of waiting till marriage only served to hamper relationships. And we now have data showing that the more sexual partners you've had in life is tied to a lower marital satisfaction and a higher chance of divorce. The bible preaches traditional gender roles, feminism rejects these principles. In todays world, over 6 decades after the start of feminism, women are for the first time in history less happy then men, and studies have shown that a return to traditional roles improved overall happiness of both spouses in the home. "If that's not you, then go on treating everyone kindly and not interfering with the rights of others." If a man is standing in front of an oncoming bus, it is his right to stand there, but would it be very kind for me to sit by and let him get hit by it? Is it really kind of me to let a man sleep with a women, knowing that doing such a thing will only hamper their relationship and potentially lead to a failing marriage that costs them both thousands? You and I both know that's not kindness and if you want to improve your life and the lives of those around you, I recommend you start practicing Christian philosophy.
