The decline of SpongeBob video games. 

I really like Creature From The Krusty Krab. That, Battle For Bikini Bottom, and the Movie game are the best ones in my opinion.

i totally played atlantis squarepantis a lot. I hated the rhythm parts as a kid and i probably still would now. But that music did go hard after the first couple seconds like you said

Man I used to always play the ds version and am actually currently replaying, its weird seeing it being played on the wii and seeing how different they are

About squidward, he is shown to be able to run from his house to the Krusty Krab in record time while doing his errands. He has shown speed feats in the show, he scales below sea bears

I remember absolutely nothing about this game besides the part where Sandy used Squidward as a gun. Far cry from battle for bikini bottom or the movie game.

I remember playing this game as a kid on the Wii and it took my brothers and I so long to make it past the rhythm lvl once you get to Atlantis. Such a weird game but I enjoyed using the tank. And I also played the GBA game version and kinda enjoy that one, some fun 2d platforming on the go

Achieving 100% completion on this game was a complete nightmare, especially when obtaining the gold medals. Heck, some of those are near-impossible, so why the developers of the game thought you have to complete every level as quickly as possible or getting 100% completion in each level without making a mistake to get every gold medal in them was BEYOND me, especially the ranking system. At least the arcade games are enjoyable.

You got a point, those games were released at the point when the show started going downhill (as it was when Stephen Hillenburg stepped down from his position) As for the games themselves, Atlantis SquarePantis is about as bland as the special it’s based on, but there were some levels and elements that I still enjoyed As for Creature from the Krusty Krab, I seemed to like that a lot more. Yeah, the story was a bit darker, creepy and outlandish than what the show as known for, but at the same time, that’s what made it so interesting. While it may feel more like a horror movie than a SpongeBob game, at least it offered something new that could be explored with the characters. Also, I would LOVE to see Patrick return as StarfishMan

I Personally am okay with the episode, not my favorite episode obviously but I don't despise it like the newer episodes in 2022, I don't hate it because I appreciate the effort they put into the episode, such as the Video Game scene. The episode aired at a time when many people still used CRT TVs so I'm sure it made some people have nostalgia of retro arcade games. Also the amount of effort put into advertising was cool such as this game. You would never see anything like this now because game consoles are to "mature" for these types of games which I find B.S. and sad. This game is one I'm looking to get on PS2, I do have the Wii but the PS2 version might work a little bit better.

i only ever played the DS version and my god these are two entirely different games.

For me my top 3 is 1.) Battle for Bikini Bottom 2.) Spondge Bob the movie game 3.) Spondge Bob Lights Camera Action Great video!

insane as it is, the ds game is a COMPLETELY different experience… like nothing is remotely similar at all.

I have such great memories playing the puzzle levels with my girlfriend when i was little lol, with 2 players it's a lot more fun. We had am awesome time

Honestly, this game looked kinda boring when I saw the commercials for it back then. And after I saw the special, I didn’t want to touch the game at all.😅

Well i'm not sure about creature of the krusty being a "step down" but i love that game and and this game. Maybe you're overthinking the special, the show, and the game itself, personality i always liked the special and game they were my childhood
