When it came to Black artists from 1983 to 1987 (The Deele's prime) all the Grammys and AMA's saw was Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, and Chaka Khan. That sucks because it was some SERIOUS Black talent in music in the 1980s.
This was my mom's favorite song . She would turn the radio up and jam. This song always made her smile and it made me happy seeing her smiling. I miss her sooo much. Found it again recently via a playlist on Pandora and added it to my thumbs up list. I miss the days when music from just about every genre had something we could all enjoy. If you take notice, Babyface's part is not only very small, but also at almost at the very end of the song... I love the song in general tho, and when Babyface did try to remake it years later he did a great job because duh he's baby face yet it still did not touch the harmony the soulfulness,The gracefulness the togetherness and who the Deele was back then when he was with them
Walked down the aisle with LA Reid in his cousin's wedding when this song came out. Had NO CLUE of who he was!! He was very humble!! Was at the reception and everyone kept talking about 'some guy' named LA. Finally, out of frustration, I said, "Who in the heck is LA?!!" Everyone got quiet and were shocked. "The guy over there you walked down the aisle with. He's with The Deele. You know... Two Occasions?!" WOW. I went to speak with him and congratulate him. He was very low key and cool!! We had a really nice conversation.

Kenny Babyface Edmonds' voice hasn't changed much. Jamming this in November,2022. Nostalgic. I was a big fan of The Deele. Great song. There was no stopping LA Reid and Kenny Edmonds from here on.
My mom just passed two weeks ago and she used to play this song a lot. She was huge fan of this group and SWV. Because of them I will always have memories with my mom to these songs. I’m gonna miss you mom.

I remember being on the beach just catch the rays,and my dad told me i had to listen to these guys on the radio. I took his advise and i was dearly pleased! Baby Face did such a good job with the other guys. Those were the 80s and i was like 16 and it was the best times ever!! I can only imagine the look on the faces at the recording studio the first time The Deele presented this masterpiece. Im positive they looked at each other and smiled and knew right away . The probably screamed out loud , "its a hit song ! " . Babyface had to know it was going to be a hit song , top of the charts kind of song.
