I like the way you balance your videos. It's a great mix of mates having fun, technical challenges, the beauty of nature, playing with big boy toys, cooking, even fishing. Keep up the good times!
Hi from Canada I am retired Firefighter / Captain and was fortunate to have an Aussie in my fire crew it did not matter whether it was a ripping roaring fire or runny nose medical call he always said no worries mate! I have a Ford F -250 with 7.3 liter diesel ( chipped of course,) I have been in places where the boat that was on the trailer was floating and came home... same as my Yamaha Grizzly. Great show you certainly got your trucks washed on that crossing @ 47 minutes or so. All the best mates !
What an awesome 2 part series. I also like that you have all terrains on your d-max. Really shows you don't need a big MT to get out and hit the trails.
Best off road videos on RU-vid. The only channel I wait to watch until I get home and can put it on the big screen. Thanks for the content and the frequent posting. From south Texas!
I’m not familiar with mountain state, tried watching Expedition overland, and that’s nothing but a giant commercial. I’ve become a big fan of this channel and Andrew St Pierre White, he does a lot of wheeling in Africa. Everything here in the states is overhyped commercial advertisement and it’s truly sickening. I’ve come to loathe advertising so much I couldn’t even enjoy Mad Men... Or the massive laziness of a 30 minute program that only needs to fill 22 minutes of content and its continuous “Previously on...” droning. I once timed an automotive program and they only provided 8 minutes of actual content, everything else was just fluff.
Totally agree! All the folky music and drone shots don’t make up for plain ole good driving and camera work with insightful commentary. These millennials and their remedial philosophy totally ruin videos! One will surely craw from mommy’s basement and speak up soon....LOL
And here it is.... straight in from work and my Friday is sorted! You've even inspred me to get out myself over the weekend! Lookout NZ me and the Pajero are coming for you!!
Did the same, like before I watch, it's just a foregone conclusion I'm going to love it. Wasn't dissappointed, some of the most utterly amazing scenery in Australia I'm thinking. Another absolutely wicked episode!! Thanks so much for sharing it & glad everyone was ok after the highway incident. Cheers from Calgary Alberta 🇨🇦
Honestly my favorite part of these is the cooking segment. Love the way its filmed and it's my fav part after a long day of driving. Love his resourcefulness/easy recipes .
Fantastic trip. Glad I found your channel a few months ago. Amazing insight to fantastic lanes and tracks you can drive - something in the UK are slowly being taken away from us. Currently working my way through your back catalogue
This video is AWESOME. Excellent quality and great lads. I'm watching as research (particularly for river crossings) for a solo self-supported bicycle race from Port Douglas to Uluru. I'm wanting to 'warm-up' with a ride to Cape York to kick it off. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Hopefully you cover some of the tracks the race course follows. Cheers!
When I commented some months ago asking for more coastal camping and beach 4WD I thought it’d take a year or two for some adequate amount of videos to put out by you guys and you’ve absolutely smashed my expectations! Amazing!
That was some serious offroading in toughest conditions, I bet all the drivers were experienced this wasn't just a hangout it was struggling through some of the roughest terrains in the world
I absolutely love this show!! The people, the scenery, and the fact that I dont have to go to another website and pay $5/month, with a 12 month commitment. Greed ruins everything good in this beautiful world. Keep it up guys!!
I live near Bedford in englandistan 😭 I wish I was younger I would be in Australia , great video nice to see 4x4 trucks doing what they were built for. I've got a v6 navara and a tray back hilux both great bits of kit in there own right but I really miss my fj40, had the old girl for 32 years sold it BIG mistake😩 seen an program on a bushman years back he had one I was hooked ,had to have one it was imported from Australia to England they were as rare as hens teeth back then. I had an isuzu rodeo I liked that as well tho I'm impressed with your d max, great video love the Australian no nonsense attetude yours respectfully THE WENGING POM 😎🤙👍
The view on the top of sand dune is epic. Breathtaking. Thank you guys for taking me through such an incredible adventure. I hope someday in the future I could get there.
These guys are great. They are the best Sauno is so funny, he always gets bogged. He is a good cook. I remember he made a birthday cake in a washing up bucket for a small child. How funny
That's to comical, my wife is actually 4'8". I've really enjoyed watching your channel. I used to be able to go out wheeling often, not so now that I live in farm country. Thanks for sharing all your adventures!
I see a lot of people in the comments bashing one company or the next, and I’m left to wonder why that is. I live in the Appalachian mountains in the US and off-roading is pretty common, as well as bad conditions. From my experience, I’ve seen that older fords are pretty damn tough, older Toyota’s are as well but they rust really bad here for some reason. I’ve seen some Toyota’s go forever and just wont die and others I’ve seen blow at 150k, same as fords. Chevys and other gms don’t last long up here, and dodge trucks aren’t very common but I’ve seen a couple dacotas do some wild stuff. Had a little Isuzu that I used as a utility vehicle for hunting and 4wheeling, and that was a tank. I don’t really understand why these guys feel like they need to get a ruler every time someone disagrees with them, just enjoy the damn video lol
First time watcher. When I was younger, did a lot of tramping to experience the remote locations that New Zealand has to offer. Bit old in the tooth now, so lugging a pack on my back to access these areas is not so enticing. Then I watch this video, and I'm totally inspired! This is glamping on STEROIDS mate! Absolutely hooked. Great camera work and love the enthusiasm of you and your team. Great fun, beaut scenery. Not bad for a bunch of Aussies ;)
This was an amazing episode with a marvelous, spectacular ending. Truly a joy to sit back and spend almost an hour! Every second of this video will definitely have you stuck to your seat, you will feel like you are there, part of the convoy! You guys are the best! Thank you for sharing this epic adventure!
Awesome! From mid-town NY riding with you guys is amazing and scary all together :) Here they say to stay away from floodwaters and not you, you go stright into it, love it.....! And thank you so much this video is great...!
Wow! Absolutely the best youtube overland video I’ve ever watched! Thanks so much for making this trip and sharing it with us!!!! That DMax is one agile cookie !
Impressive water crossing. I drove through a flood in my Land Cruiser (without a snorkel) a couple of months back, after the local river had burst its banks. It was up to the top of the wheel arches for a few hundred metret but I made it. The air filter got wet but luckily the water never made it through into the engine. On the other hand, the starter motor started playing up a few days later; it turned out to be just the solenoid corroded and covered in crap. I was pretty impressed but I think I had a close shave, I wouldn't go that deep again without a snorkel. The only disappointment was how much water entered the footwell; it was up to my ankles and the car stank for a while until the carpets dried out.
that is some deep river crossing but it is a free underbody car wash. what an amazing video(s) you make and thanks to you guy yous have made my bucket list. thanks so much
love these videos, you guys seem like a cool group of guys...wish I still had my Jeep, id love to do some more trail rides and mudding! I'm just surprised when I watch these vids, y'all are sportin such basic all terrain tires... the kind of terrain you are on Id expect a much more aggressive tire... I had Baja Claws on the back of my Jeep...nothing stopped them, especially mud!
Great video, especially liked the drone scenes from above. Good job! Looks like a place where you won't be 4-wheeling by yourself, some deep crossings and all.
Right, I just built up a WJ but realised I live in Missouri, NA. We don't have shit worth driving in Missouri let alone the camping sites... My first 4WD to, what a shame..
Love your work guys, but Graham, ditch the D-Max, it just chews up the track on those crap tyres and after you get winched out makes it hard for the real rigs to get through. The times you do make through anything in that you could probably drive a Corolla over it.
this should be call the grand tour 4WD. wow. the amount of investment in terms of time, the people, the commitment are amazing, astounding that is. keep up.
@ 39.50±, mate, you need to come to Borneo. I crossed deeper than that, and it was during a massive flood, four crossings, each deeper and each about 1K long, and I don't even have a snorkel or lift, running a stock 80 Series Landi. Lucky we had a truck load of people for weight. Brown waves over the hood, had water up the sides of the windows, Landi was a beast, chugging underwater for minutes with each of the four crossings. And ya, post each crossing, sat for 10 minutes to let the engine recover, and to build up the courage for the next crossing. :) - AB in Sabah, Borneo @ Sea Dragon Adventures
Great video, so easy to stay with for the duration. Makes me want to come out to Aussie again but this time to rent a 4x4 and go play up there out of Cairns. Nice job.
How have you boys not come across one of those snappin handbags yet!!?!?!? Love to see you guys negotiate a river crossing with a few locals sitting on the bank aye
One Day When I will be able to afford a 4WD with a vast knowledge I have got from you I will be able to drive on sand Dunes of UAE. Now I drive 2003 camry hopefully it grows up to be LC200
