Isaiah 53:5, he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH, Obedience to God's command. Acts 2:38 is way of Salvation. Repentance, water baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost should be done in the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12
Time is almost up. Please give your life to Jesus Christ before it's too late. He is coming soon and tomorrow is promised to no man. Ask forgiveness for your sins and repent/turn away from sin, having a change of heart and mind. Seek the Lord with your whole heart and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit and be baptized in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loves you more than you can even imagine. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and give your heart to Him. Invite Him into your heart . Read His word daily. It is the sword of the Holy Spirit and the word cleanses and heals. The Oneness of the Godhead is the basic fundamental doctrine of the Bible. We hope by the time you finish reading this page; you will understand there is but One God. First let us start with a few Scriptures. Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is One Lord (Deuteronomy 6:4). Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God: I know not any.. Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from thy womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things, that stretch forth the heavens alone, that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself (Isaiah 44:8 & 24) I am the Lord and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me. That they may know from the rising of the sun, and the west that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else...(Isaiah 45:5-6) Ye are my witnesses saith the Lord, and my servant whom i have chosen, that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he, before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. (John 8:24 & 27) For there are three that bare record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one. (John 5:7) It is not just a couple of verses that declare the Oneness of the Godhead, but the whole Bible. There is but one God, not two, not three, not four, but one God and his name is Jesus. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9) This states the fullness of the Godhead bodily is in Jesus, not that Jesus is in the fullness of the Godhead bodily. There is a no comparison between being in something, and having something in you. The fullness of the Godhead bodily is in Jesus. I know there are some that will say that the God of the Old Testament was Jehovah, and you are absolutely correct in saying so. But don't forget the Bible teaches the Oneness of God. Now lets look at what Jehovah means. Jehovah means Lord, and when the Old Testament used the title Jehovah they usually added an attribute of God. Such as Jehovah-jireh, which means the Lord will provide, and is found in Genesis 22:14. Below is a table of the compound names of Jehovah. This next section is for you. "And God said, Let us make man in our image." Genesis 1:26 Why does this verse use a plural pronoun for God? Before we answer this, let us note that the Bible uses singular pronouns to refer to God hundreds of times. The very next verse uses the singular to show how God fulfilled verse 26: "So God created man in his own image" (Genesis 1:27). Any interpretation of Genesis 1:26 that permits the existence of more than one person of God runs into severe difficulties. Isaiah 44:24 says the Lord created the heavens alone and created the earth by Himself. There was only one creator according to malachi 2:10. Since Genesis 1:26 cannot mean two or more persons in the Godhead, What does it mean? The Jews have traditionally interpreted it to mean that God talked to the angels at creation. this does not imply that the angels actually took part in creation but that God informed them of his plans and solicited their comments out of courtesy and respect. On at least one other occasion God talked to the angels and requested their opinions in formulating his plans (1 Kings 22:19-22). We do know that the angels were present at the creation (Job 38:4-7). Other commentators have suggested that Genesis 1:26 simply describes God as he counseled with his own will. Ephesians 1:11 supports this view, saying that God works all things "after the counsel of his will." By analogy, this is similar to a man saying "Let's see" (let us see) even when he is planning by himself. We do not say that there is not a Father, Son, or Holy Ghost. We are stating that there is but one God who has occupied three offices. If you look at man who was created in the image God you will find a body, a mind, and a soul. There are three different elements that make up mankind but we are still only one individual. The same principal applies to an egg, if we look at an egg we only see one egg. But what about the shell, the white, or the yolk. Are they considered different from the egg its-self. No, of course not. What about myself, I am a father, a son, and a minister, but I am only one person not three separate individuals. Just as there is only one God and his name is JESUS.
