The way you word these guides are so good and very easy to understand. I already have my cleave team but it's fun to rewatch this to see if I'm missing anything.
Great guide! I'm not big on cleave but the time savings are tempting. Really loved the counter pick tips and would love to see more of that. Keep up the good work!
I think a good thing to note is that using Maid Chloe as an attack buffer will allow you to cleave Arbiter Vildred with units other than BBK or J. Kise.
Yeah I am trying to think of who to pair with my AVildred and my Tenebae, I have a built up Cerise, maid chloe that isnt built at all, a rose that isn't built at all, I have been building my Blingo, and I just pulled sinful angelica recently so i can build her as well. I also have a Basar I havent built at all (built Cerise instead since EVERYONE uses basar, i just didnt wanna do the same exact thing lol- maybe this was a mistake haha)
You sure can, that's a single target defense break though so you'd have to be selective on what you're nuking, much like Tamseria cleaves. Also as you noted it'd be very RNG, even at max LB pretty high chance it won't even proc.
Honestly even in higher tiers you can use almost any cleaver and it will work as long as you have singelica. For example, Rgb vild is actually one of the best cleavers when you have flidica and singelica in the team, since he has speed imprint.
Great video! Although I already have a cleave team I find myself indulged in your videos. Very concise and to the point like every guide should be. You deserve more subscribers! On a side note, I wanted to ask a question: what’s better on bbk? portrait or elyhia’s knife? and there are 2 scenarios: one with def break applied and the other without it. In both cases which is better? Thanks
potrait will always be the best dps art. as it applies after crit.damage since it's an over all damage boost. (total damage * 1.2). E. knife works different since the damage is applied after 20% def is reduced but before crit damage is applied that is, raw damage (20% def. is reduced) * multiplier (including stat multiplier if any) * crit. damage = total damage * artifact damage = over all damage. there might be some hidden multipliers in between raw damage and crit. damage but you see the gist of how it works. also to note that some skill multipliers are below 1 * POW so a damage increase on over all damage is slightly better than a damage increase before crit.damage is applied.
Serge Lucca just wanted to let you know that after checking multiple youtube videos I can confirm elyha’s knife works better on high def targets. So using it would be better against high def comps basically. Just wanted to put it out there
my cleave team is a.lots, j.kise, c.dom and cidd. im not confident enough to cleave a counter/tank teams but sometimes it works. no def. break also but c.dom and cidd are my clean up if judge don't kill them all. XD
DrSquirrel, do you think cleave is still a viable strategy at Champion+ now that there are so many shields in arena, as well as Cerise and Celine being popular on defenses now? I'm being stubborn and am trying to figure out the most effective way to continue using my J Kise for cleave now that I'm in Champion but am finding it very difficulty to pick teams that are cleaveable.
What stats need for cleaver? My BBK 4300 attack/300 crd. Artifact portrait +30. And i think that still not enough. And what brings more profit +30 portrait or great attack buff? I mean alexa basket
It depends. If you have an attack buffer, portrait will do more damage (Attack buff + portrait). If you have no attack buffer, and Alexas procs greater attack, alexa will do way more damage than portrait by itself. For example, a 4k attack bbk with 300 cd will do 18k damage with greater attack, and 18.5k damage with attack buff + portrait. With just portrait and no attack buff, S3 would hit for only 12.4k.
My current cleave team is A.Lots, C.Dom, J.Kise, W.Schuri. It's a good team, but I struggle against Counter/Revive comps, which sucks because they are everywhere. Basically, I need to skip teams with: F.Ceci, Charles, Arby, ML.Ken. This means I need to spend alot of gold to reroll enemies, because almost everyone in Challenger II+ has these units on their defense. Any tips?
You could probably change W.Schuri with an aurius tank to survive against counter comps. Can’t say much about revive comps tho. Only way to counter them is by silencing them or use counter revive meta like Singelica or BM Haste.
i have rose but have been told she isn't a great cr pusher bc of her low base speed. but i see that you've recommended her! is she really worth raising? also it's only 20% cr boost is that enough to get your cleaver to attack before the opponent? or is say judith + rose needed with just roozid being the fastest cr push
Her base speed is on the low end, but her EE really helped with that by adding +10 speed. SO a lot of people still use her as a main CR pusher because she has the great bonus of also giving attack buff!
@@DrSquirrel so i'd assume if rose is my main cr pusher i'd require a second cr pusher then? or will she be the main and only cr pusher? if she is the only cr pusher, at 25% will i need my cleaver to have a certain amount of speed then?
dont worry about it too much. Even if you have ml 5 and no gear they dont do much good. I got ALL my ml5s from cov or mystic so u'll get them eventually. GL bro
I feel you man. Been playing since launch and never got a ml 5 from ml summons until a month ago, and I play the game every day for hours. All my friends who started way after me got so many ml5s. It really gave me serious depressos. On the bright side, sometimes covenant summon can actually be pretty nice. I have gotten 2 mls from summoning a lot in covenant. But really don’t worry about not having ml5s because in my humble opinion they’re replaceable on most occasions. I’ll be praying for u to get some ml 5s tho 🙏 it’ll come one day I promise.
I'd love to see an updated guide on how to cleave now that Polatis, AoL, Celine, etc are running around everywhere. Or if the video would just be "don't attack these teams" lmao
With HYufine now here, does this make Basar not as usable in cleave team? Should we be avoiding building basar for now and use someone like Cerise instead? Should we actually put HYufine in our cleave team since she has CR push 20% on her s3 as part of her kit?
Hey i watched this video and it gave me a great idea im a beginner player with extreme luck i have alots jkisse and fcc what am i lacking what should i aim to put on my team as 4th?
is hurado a good alternative for basar?? since basar has lower default spd than hurado, i'm thinking of replacing him for my cleave team 🤔 any thoughts? 🤔
So if you use ML Lots as your CR pusher, would you have to have him go before your Defense Breaker/Buff Stripper? Would it be better as a beginner to just bring a whole team CR pusher so you don't have to build really high speed on all your heroes except for your dps?
Romann I suppose, although Hurado has the advantage of being element neutral. Depends on the team you're vrsing, Hurados turn cut is also great against CR pushers without damage like Roozid, DJ Basar, Judith.
I have my cleaver which is vildred, Flidica is my cr pusher and stripper, com is also a cr pusher and Diane is my atk buffer. How can I fit a defense breaker into this team?
Vildred isn't the best main cleaver, but he's a good setup cleaver due to his speed imprint, especially if he uses S Ithanes. But it theoretically depends on your teams speed, if Flidica can get him to the front you can just do Flidica/Diene/Defense breaker/vildred, although you'll have to dodge fceci teams. You might get cut by someone, but as long as you disable the key one it doesnt matter much, especially since Flidica gives you skill nullifier. Although vildred might not be able to cleave down tankier heroes even with def break, especially if they're rocking any fire units.
@@DrSquirrel yeah but the big problem for me is that I have no other cleaver at all. If I had no I would love to use her over him. I think I would have to do like you said. Flidica first, diene next, defense breaker after, then cleaver last
That would be a very strange cleave team for sure. By the guide, it technically has a strip, an attack buff, a defense break, and a nuker in Cmeru. But you're missing a CR boost. Unless your entire team is strangely fast, it is likely that someone on the opposing team will cut your team and mess up your rotation. If your team is fast enough to guarantee a turn 1 with that comp, then it's likely they won't hit very hard since a lot of their subs will be in speed.
As an offensive cleaver not particularly, he does do pretty good damage with a soulburned S1 though. So up to a certain point you could probably make him work but he won't crack people in high Champ with his S1.
If anyone can answer this it be great, so I’m starting a cleave team and rn I have it set aux lot, bbk, rose and Romann my question is this good for rn since idk how to set it up since aux lots would boost bbk and that’s it should I have Roman the fastest for the debuff then aux lots then boost bbk for the cleave
I haven't used them so not sure, but my assumption is no because I've never seen them used. But up to a point anything works, so I'm sure you could get to challenger or even champion with it with decent gear. At the top end, I'm guessing they'll fall off. But I could be completely wrong, again I haven't used either ;)
Jkise hits harder with soulburn because she gets 2 turns, but BBK is still viable and also has general purpose use due to her self sustain with S1. But for pure cleaving, Jkise hits harder overall, and gives you that skill pushback on openers which is also very helpful.
She has good multipliers but shes def not top tier. Lack of an extra turn mechanic means she essentially has to dodge AV, which makes her unusable at high tiers where 50% of the teams have AV on it. This is why BBK and Jkise are strong.
Ahhh it annoys me so much. It seems like my pulls always dodge the key PVP components for cleave teams. The only 3 ML4s that Im missing are BBK, A. Lots and S. Rose. I guess for the cleaver itself Im gonna try using B. Dingo or C. Mercedes. But I really need A. Lots for everything.. -_-
I also lacked A lots for a long long time. Basar/Tywin/Cdom were what I used instead. But if you really lack everything, Roozid/Rose/Judith really do work all the way up to champion.
@@DrSquirrel Yeah but im also lacking a good cleaver! xD C. Merc should work but I need the free gear removal event thing. Otherwise I move gear around for over 1.5m gold. lol So far I used Yufine (Soulburn) and SSB with C. Dom and Judith. That kinda worked but its not optimal. :D So my plan is: Tywin, Judith and C. Merc. I feel like Lidica could be a good addition because I can either lower the buff duration by one turn and reduce hit chance or I completly cripple one target. But I never actually see Lidica getting used, even tho I think shes kinda perfect for that. Lowering hit chance could also help against counter teams. She seems kinda perfect for this job.
