I was going to review Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets PS1, however it came to my attention that the 20 year aniversary of T'ai Fu: Wrath Of The Tiger was coming up. So ever the oprotunist, I decided to pull the trigger.

This game should definitely get a remake or even a reimagining. Tai is just too cool looking character to not be used in future games. 😎👍

One other thing I would note about this game is the composer is Michael Giacchhino who went on to be a very major Hollywood composer

So DreamWorks Interactive made a game about Funny Animals doing martial arts, years before DreamWorks Animation made Kung Fu Panda!? That is such a coincidence, it hurts... and now I miss the days of when DreamWorks did mostly live-action films... and interactive games.

I really would love if DreamWorks would revisit this property, it would be awesome seeing not only some remaster of the game, but like an animated show or movie, with some adjustments obviously because people would be dimwit enough to start assuming that it's rip-offing from Kung Fu Panda

Hey man, nice video. Definitely the inspiration for Kung Fu Panda. I played this when I was really young too. I feel like it struggles from being caught between a style that's very kiddy and cartoony but also ultraviolent and bleak at parts, is part of why it never really found an audience

I think it was moreso the late release timing before ps2 combined with DreamWorks not being paid attention to as a game publisher or dev outside of garbage cash grabs from their actual products, the DreamWorks films. Dream works also didn't promote this for sht. No one was looking forward to DreamWorks next drop lmao

We owe it all to TGX for giving hidden gems like Rampage World Tour, Pac-Man World 1 (I know he said he’s done making videos, so let’s not request him to make new videos and let him be), Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness (another Pac-Man game in the early 2000s, which is pretty the bestest time for an underrated, yet currently mishandled (by the far inferior envisioning of how the franchise should be by Bandai-Namco themselves between 2014 & 2022 so far) Pac-Man franchise) Ta’i Fu, The Legend of Dragoon and etc the love it deserves when the critics didn’t!

It is unbelievable that this game wasn't more successful. Maybe it was because of a late release but this game is truly one of a kind, imaginative, fun, and a solid hit when compared to what else was debuting a the time.

Pleasantly surprised this review was not a lazy Nostalgia Critic ripoff where you tell what happens and try to deliver "funny" jokes after each scene, while spoiling all of what little plot there is. . . . Tai Lung.

If you're into beat 'em ups, have you ever played Jet Li's Rise to Honor? PS2 era beat 'em up/shooter starring Jet Li (obviously.) It was probably the most mature game I had as a young kid as, like you, my parents were quite protective of me when it came to media. I haven't seen any major RU-vidrs cover it, so it may be worth a play if you're feeling up to it. By the way, man. Keep this stuff up.

I remember reading about this game on an old Playstation Magazine back In the day. This and Kingsley's Adventure always puzzled me, as I couldn't tell what sort of games they truly were based on screenshots, and yet I never went out of my way to buy either of them. I also never found a copy of Circuit Breakers, but I feel like playing Mashed on PS2 was a superior experience anyway.

I like these skits, your videos seem genuine. I have to agree the game is hidden, it's a case of bad cover art on a good game, I would've definitely ignored this back in the day because of that.

Really no one is commenting the game??? I did play this as a kid and I loved it! I never got the adult jokes but it was awesome! In fact I still have my old cd and ps1! Time to play some Tai Fu!

34:30: "I hate the platforming." 38:30: "I love the platforming." As a side note, I broke my controller's L1 button as a kid playing Tai Fu and doing the tiger uppercut so much trying to find out just how many hits you could get with it in a single combo. I think my record was like 40+.
