i was never @ the music box, hell i was born in 82'.. but i gotta recognize a legend. you could tell this dude FELT music with every bone in his body.. RESPECT FOR ONE OF THE GREATEST!!! Wish I could have partied with ya'll back in the days!!! :)
Maurice Herrod Thursday nights was for the real deep box heads. Remember when Ron would slow the party down and the natural people that would attend would think the party was over and leave. Us deep head knew it wasn’t over and we stayed til like 9 am. Child Ron would beat it even harder when the late people left. Maurice, was you there that Thursday when Ron Brasswell passed. Baby, I’d never forget that night. Everyone was crying but that night RON beat the hell out of us. He took his hurt out on them tables and reels. The last song he played that night was Ribbon in the sky. I didn’t know Brasswell but seen him around the club. He was an important figure for the box. That Saturday he beat us even harder. Those were the best days of my life.
The light show along with this shit drove niggas bananas...acid in the water and the bass and treble amazing I wish I could go back in time lakabeats 2024

At 326 North lower Wacker on a Tuesday night Wich was a "girls" night probably one of the very few hederals there! Fruit n Water. :-) for those of u who know. A flame as joint. Willie Wear down or maybe Girbaud or Kikit or even Paul Smith or Armani Slacks Dr. Zoes on my feet. Hustling in the back. Walls sweating. Ron working! Lights flashing. Girls dancing! Where did all the time go?
@DannyKing3000 The re-edit is mainly dancefloor friendly version. I will say many re-edits are edited in a fashion that it is not really for listening but for dancing. The original version is more structured like a typical song.
felicia5337 Felicia I got turned out there too. I was 17 when my sister and step sister took me. It was the US studios then. After that night I never went back but I got caught up in the Powerplant when I was almost 18. Ron turned me out once the Plant started going down. I was scared to go to the Box at one point cause I had heard bad things about it. Baby let me tell you. It took that one time to go and the rest is history. OKaaaayyyyy.
@DannyKing3000 its re-edit of inst.l song entitled, "Adventure (no way back pt-2)" Dells 1976lp,"No Way Back." "No Way Back," title trk is r&b midtem-dance trk that n no way musically resembles this inst. trk. 2 my knowledge theres no vocalsong out w/ this music on it the fade is similar to the lp 3:46 mix. an interlude, after thought, that by accident got pop n discos like jer jackson's"Erucu" trk frm the Mahogany sdtrk did. better 2 hav just call this song "Adventure." period. jus sayin...
