I just wanna leave this comment to add some common notes that people had that I probably should have included as well as express my thanks for almost 600 subscribers! - The Tiny Car thing is in fact true (hesoyam 50, thanks!) - You only need the duck head to activate duck mode in the queen fight (Jackeroni Draws, thanks!) - Everyman can also be spotted in Queen's drama attack (Sans Undertale, thank you!) - There might be multiple endings? Steam page has a question mark when talking about it, official website doesn't. - The sinks might just be a reference to Sans and Papyrus' sink in their home in Undertale and I just like reading into things. - Risk is one letter off Frisk and Kris is the same. I didn’t feel the need to mention this because I personally don’t believe there’s that much of a connection. I’ll probably be proven wrong. My next video will probably be in late December talking about my favourite games of the year or OMORI, I'm during the exam period right now so can't really do much but study. I think something a lot of people overlook is the fact that Toriel says "Asriel is visiting in a week" incinuating that the final chapter will probably end with him coming back, or have some sort of reveal involving him.

For the record, “goner” has a very specific meaning in Undertale. Of the four greyed out characters you can find depending on FUN values, the one that looks like a grey Monster Kid is called “Goner Kid” in the game files. This character is specifically the one that talks about imagining another world where everything is exactly the same, but you don’t exist (referring to the Undertale worlds corresponding to the other 99 FUN values). I didn’t know that the character creator was titled goner_maker, but it does raise some very pressing questions about how if you’re creating a goner that doesn’t exist in this world, which world does it exist in? There are a massive number of weird theories you can come up with from this, like this one I just thought of: maybe Berdly is a goner, and the world is exactly the same whether he exists or not, which is how the normal and Snowgrave routes can result in the same ending in the real world. That theory’s most likely nonsense, but I’m sure there’s some ideas out there that have much more evidence to back them up.

I don't think Kris' name is designed as an anagram, but is rather the fusion of the names Frisk and Chara.

The big shot commercial has more connection to spamton that you mentioned. The guy who made the commercial was named Mike. Spamton mentions a Mike when you talk to him in his shop about friends. The comm was released in 1997, the year spamton mentions when he calls himself "EVERYONE'S FAVORITE [number 1 rated salesman1997] The mascot for the big shot soda looks almost exactly like spamton, but without the glassss.

One thing I find weird is asriel's final attack (first form) is called hyper goner, it could be that "goner" is a weapon and that in the character creator you aren't making someone ment to fail but rather a weapon, perhaps something to fight against the knight What's also worth noting is that the hyper goner looks like a gaster blaster, combine that with the theory that gasters the one who guides you through character customization and you got some more evidence

A few things about the Snowgrave Route during the epilogue 1. If you equip Noelle’s Silver Watch in the Dark World, during the Snowgrave Route, there will be some special dialogue with Noelle. During the scene after talking to Noelle’s father, where the screen is totally black, Noelle will start talking about how it was “just a dream.” When she notices Kris standing there, she has some special dialogue, saying “Kris… why are you wearing my watch?” 2. Also during the scene after talking to Noelle’s dad, if you move once Noelle sees Kris, she’ll tell you to not come any closer.

I think Susie saying to worry about what's outside the bunker before inside it is Toby saying not to theorize about it right now.

if there's just going to be one ending in deltarune, and berdly is guessed to be dead in the end of snowgrave route, maybe berdly is going to die anyways. like, he'll just be dead no matter what. even if you don’t do snowgrave route but idk

2:37 Not necessarily. They could’ve just seen the same thing that Kris and Susie saw in Chapter 1, in the closet. Also, if Berdly and Noelle were inside the room while the dark fountain was being created, they would’ve absolutely noticed who was creating it, and what it looked like, and have seen the darkness gradually filling the entire room. It isn’t very subtle, after all.

Ok so I don't hear a lot talking about this but there is one of the little plug guys in Cyber World wearing a little gray hat, you see him on two different screens, once when he tells you he doesnt wanna talk politics and once when he says he wont get face plugged because he is already loyal to queen. If you continue on and get into a fight with the werewire nearby you will find him on the other side now a werewire himself but if you manage to avoid all of the werewires leading up to him which there will be more of than you can really see if you just encounter the first one he can be encountered but he doesnt seem to have anything special about him, even his cap comes off when the battle starts

kris without players control wants the pie down in the basement so they use a knife to get there quicker but then they hit the gas line

It's really weird that the creepy smile in the basement have purple and yellow eyes. Firstly, spamton doesn't have a smile that wide. Secondly, even if somehow, that is spamton, he's not supposed to be in the basement.

I still hold the theory that Gaster isn't Sans AND Papyrus, rather _just_ Papyrus. I got a whole theory that goes into stuff like him owning the Gaster Blasters, why he isn't shown or named in Deltarune, and a lot of other evidence none more clear than the fact that Flowey trusts him. I feel like Deltarune is gonna prove me right on this one.

I have an inkling that the vessel you create at the start of chapter 1 has something to do with spamton, the knight and the whole kris "freeing" themselves from your control and opening a fountain thing. Like, the vessel you create is the second player in deltarune and is capable of taking control of multiple people, like spamton, kris and whatnot.

about the last point, i believe the will be only 1 ending, but your actions determine who is or isn't present to experience it

Personally I’d like to believe Ralsei’s goal is actually to free Kris somehow from our control. Notice how in both chapters he intentionally has us shift our focus to Susie, and in that moment he’s clearly having a conversation with Kris.

I’m surprised the ‘neutral’ ending is never mentioned. The pacifist and snowgrave endings are the most well-known, and while there’s not TOO much of a difference between the neutral ending and the pacifist ending, I don’t think enough people know about it. I almost never see anyone bring this up, but a friend confirmed it. You can also activate the neutral ending by actually attacking berdly in either of his fights instead of just fighting Queen and ignoring him.

ralsie IS hidding something from the player, both times when raslei asks us if we are worried about susie and we follow her, both times when we get back concluding a conversation he's haing with kris, so he knows about us and when we leave to observe susie so he can hae a talk with kris alone

Dess theory incoming! : i dont think that Dess is dead, because there would've been a gravestone at home town's cemetery, its also double uncertain since they don't burry the monsters bodies (since they turn to dust), they burry their favorite things. i have a feeling that Dess just disappeared one day, maybe she fell in the void where Gaster is?also,, the text in the files where someone is asking for help and saying its dark, that might just be Dess still in the void. It also explains why Noelle and Kris fell apart, since Dess was never found, Noelle never got any closure and pushed all her friends away, not wanting to be reminded of the memories of Dess. Asriel should also have been badly hurt by her disappearance, maybe that's why he moved away from home town? that's just my theory tho

Fun fact in the fight with queen and birdly if you never loosen birdly and only attack queen birdly will break out of his control cable as well as breaking his arm in the process, it remains broken in the real world too. Further supporting that the dark world can rewrite reality similar to some spoiler heavy stuff in the rebuild of Evangelion movies

If you ask me, the mannequin thing is probably meant to show how the addisons genuinely miss Spamton, thus making mannequins that look like him, and he reacts to it the way it does because of the old emotional wounds such a thing opens.

About the unused dialogue: it reminds me of what spamton says when he becomes NEO. He mentions it still being so dark. Obviously I don’t think the one speaking in the files is spamton, but maybe it is someone who parallels to him. As speculated by others, secret bosses being related to freedom has been a recurred theme in the game so far (which is kinda hard to definitively say since we only have 2 instances instead of say, 3 or more). I hadn’t even considered the goner made at the beginning but i think it fits quite well. Toby mentioned making a boss based off our customising was too hard; which for a mini gag like the thrash machine, yeah it probably was. But for a (possibly final) lore based secret boss? I doubt it. Perhaps the goner we made at the start now follows a similar theme like jevil and spamton, and seeks to be free from the quiet darkness they got banished to. Or maybe, they will never be relevant again and I’m just going insane

Just want to add, you can find the everyman in Queen’s attack where all the people scroll on the side of the box and fire words at you and the queen says “drama” , there is a chance that he will appear in one of the frames, but doesn’t fire any words at you.

Honestly, I have a feeling that Chapter 3's Dark World will be a mix between a fire and water theme, with fire referencing how Toriel (a fire elemental) will likely join the party, and water referencing Undyne and Napstablook, both police officers in Deltarune and both having some connection to water, whether it's because the character is literally a fish or cries a lot.

I actually have a very easy to miss evidence Kris isn't the knight, when you first make a save in chapter 2 you'll see Kris name on the file before replaced with your own , but there's something else 15 minutes are added to your total playtime, meaning Kris was free for 15 minutes , bearly enough time to leave his house , open the fountain, give queen her task and get back home while also eating the pie ....its quite literally impossible for Kris to do this in so little time

About the "Kris cannot be the knight because Noelle and Berdly were already in the computer room when the new Dark World was created" thing, it could just be that they didn't fall until a few seconds after putting their books down on the table. After all, Kris and Susie didn't fall into the closet Dark World right after entering in, they had a few minutes to walk around, and even after the door closed, it took several seconds for all the papers on the ground to crumble, making them fall. So it could very much be what happened with Noelle and Berdly too.

I find Everyman super interesting, like there's something off about it. I get it's supposed to be just a stickman equivalent for monsters but it's appearance throughout the game is super ominous like it's not supposed to be there but somehow sneaks in or like someone is purposely putting it in all those places.

I think "the anomaly" is actually the player saving and loading,sans talks about a anomaly specifically in TIME during his battle

The "scratching" mentioned in the unused spamton dialogue might be connected to the fact that spamtons' element is cat. It's unknown why he's labelled as a cat, but the dialogue could be telling us that it's more significant than we think.

Regarding the Gerson's Hammer entry: I read a theory saying that Alvin could be the knight, and that the line leaving the graveyard about using Gerson's Hammer is related to opening a new fountain. Something every lightner can do by gathering determination into a weapon (if a hammer could be considered a weapon too). It's actually a pretty interesting theory and it's worth checking out if you want to consider other options other than the most popular 'Kris is the knight" ones, I don't remember the user who came up with it tho.

What if the knight is dess holiday (noelles sister/ brother) they DID go missing but not outright a confirmed dead character . But dess is a lightener and as we know only lightners can open dark fountains

as dark as the "berdley is dead and his body goes into the closet" theory is i think that in reality while getting snowgrave'd certainly did effect him he may actually just be unconcious. iirc monsters in deltarune still turn into dust upon death, which wouldnt make a whole lot of sense since... we seem em there. along with that some real life birds hibernate in response to cold weather in order to conserve heat so. could just be our mans in a coma

I think that every chapter from now on will have a genocide-like route that makes some kind of change to the story. but I feel like the changes will all be just minor enough for the ending to turn out the same way. the alternate route will probably just end up the same way, but a lot darker and sadder

something to consider with the "sans is from hometown" theory: in undertale, after speaking to clamgirl about suzy (who was meant to foreshadow deltarune), the text in sans' workshop will change. it'll say that there's a poorly drawn picture of three smiling people with the words "don't forget". in deltarune, we have a party of 3, and the credits theme of chapter 1 is called "don't forget". so, there's undeniably connections between sans in deltarune and in undertale, and I'd say it's very likely sans is originally from the deltarune universe.

I think the tall sink is just a reference to undertale, because in Sans and Papyrus' house there's the very tall sink! :)

this is a really great video!! but one suggestion: in future scripted videos, it would be cool if you talked a little slower, or included subtitles. my hearing isn't very good and i found myself having to rewind and listen over certain segments several times. this is just a suggestion though!! obviously you put a lot of time and effort in and the video turned it great, its super concise yet in depth and i appreciate you explaining everything!!

Snowgrave route secret I found in my run couple months back: - Visit Noelle's father in both chapters - Have Kris wear Noelle's items at the end of the run - Upon leaving, Noelle's dad's room, the screen will be black while a cutscene in text plays. Noelle will be freaking out wondering about Berdly and telling herself it was all a dream, but becomes horrified when she sees you, wearing her watch. During this cutscene, if you move while the text is on-screen she will tell Kris not to get any closer. Suzie then enters the room, ends the cutscene.

There’s a theory floating around on Tumblr that Ralsei isn’t a Dark World version of Asriel, but actually a version of Kris that they made in their head. Think about it: Ralsei has the red headband that Kris always wore, and he’s everything that Kris probably wants to be: kind, understanding, always willing to help, and most importantly, he’s a goat monster like the rest of Kris’ family. He’s Kris’ ideal self, or at least who they wanted to be when they were a kid.

Well, it would make sense for sans to originate in hometown, Because if you watched this one game theory video about Deltarune being a prequel instead of a sequel, there are many clues to support this. One being that Bratty and Catty don’t know each other. There is one theory from Game Theory that states that Sans is a darkner. Because when you defeat Sans he bleeds from his stomach, And monsters don’t bleed. They take damage and turn to dust when they die. And darkners- *I forgot the evidence to prove they bleed* There was some evidence to support they do bleed, and in Deltarune one, You can see Sans door with fire under it in one part of the game. (I SAW ALL OF THIS FROM GAME THEORY/MAT PAT)
