I also am a Christian artist, as well ( unknown) and for years I thought being in CCM was the way to go. How wrong I was. Keep writing and singing and playing for Christ. God will satisfy you and your efforts, even if they're small on this earth, they will be mega huge in glory to God in heaven...

I’d love to hear you guys music , as my husband and I are artist as well. We just took down all of our music off major platforms to have a refresh under our own label and not the previous one we are associated with .

If a radio station, church, or a combination of both have successes in this life, we must at this point ask the question, "Are you compromised with the world to get the ad spots, to be popular, to build castles here on earth?" Unless prompted by the Holy Spirit, if they say no, just expect that it is the case.

@@jessicapabon2105 I really was going nuts for Christian music, and that it’s self was a Hube change. I had AC/DC, and a ton of heavy metal music etc…but I was a changed person. But what really surprised, was watching some of the performers and seen how the audience was responding it just didn’t feel right. CCM and Christian Rock of the 80's was quite different than it is today and not including them was just ignorant, in my opinion. So many bands were taking the Gospel to crowds that would never listen to that radio station. Growing up in the South I ran into a lot of ignorant people like those who ran that radio station who loudly proclaimed bands like Petra were "the devil's music". Even Keith Green had detractors within the church! It really is tragic.

​​@@paulahardin6002I didn't like what Amy Grant did, either......but her husband Gary Chapman at that time was an admitted active junkie, who wouldnt stop using drugs, and she said he was abusive........so then can you blame her .....she, I believe, had to leave for the sake of their children! Then she's just become lukewarm, if not completely ineffective for the Gospels sake ......but I don't think Gary helped......it put her in a tailspin! But she still has to remain accountable!

People who take these contracts show signs and symbols to show their allegiance to Satan/the contract and this is just 1 in an overwhelming plethora.

All sin in the eyes of the Lord displeases him to the same degree. We are all guilty. And I'm not saying we can't hold people accountable, but holding someone accountable doesn't need to come from a place of judgment but actually a place of love. Leave the judgment to God, its not our place nor authority.

After looking it up, on Ellen she just didn't admit being gay was wrong, it was an interview with Dave Styles on 104 myfm where she said that she was just an artist

This is something I learned from many different "christian" musicians/ preachers. Many are not living for Christ dt and it shows I their lyrics. The bhoe says "you will know them by their fruit." In Galatians, we learn that the fruits of the spirit are love, peace, self-control, etc. You can see in their lives and the way some fake christian artists dance that they do not have the fruits of the spirit. What happens if a tree is not bearing good fruit? It gets cut down and thrown into the lake of fire. Our job as discerning Christians if to pray for their repentance and that these fake Christians feel convicted by God before the enter eternity...

I don't listen to contemporary music. I made playlists on youtube and they target my Christian artists and delete their stuf, things I find no fault in.

I found reformed Churches are more on target and tend to sing the psalms, Hymns and a little bit of Getty music. I have a friend who put sections of the Bible to music and that’s what I listen to at home . He does have a you tube channel but hasn’t put out anything recently. Any church that sings modern “worship music “ is part of the problem.

Do you have the holy spirit? It will give you discernment and lead you to God's people instead if worldly things.
