In September 2017, Chelsea and I biked from Dawson City, Yukon to Inuvik, Northwest Territories. It was late in the season so the road was very clear and we had surprisingly good weather following a blizzard that occurred about halfway up the road on our start date. We experienced beautiful fall colors, lovely northern lights, and fantastic biking on our 740km journey into the north. We crossed the Arctic Circle, saw bears, and had a grand time!

Great job girls. I'll be attempting this at around the same time of the year; glad to know it worked out for you climat-wise. Nowadays one can go a bit further to Tuktoyaktuk and dips toes in the Arctic.

That was a great adventure! I'm inspired to give it a go, too! Thanks for the video. Did you have to carry enough food for the whole trip, or are there some resupply points along the way?

Lovely video. What did you do for food and overnight? Does the route have towns, supermarkets and campsites along the way? (I’m from England, we have nothing like that)

We flew back to Dawson and then drove back to Skagway. It was a great trip!

@@LauraPattonMobileRoamers wondering flying back did you had to get the bikes in special bag or box Want to ride it next sumer as part of larger tour from deadhorse to mexico. But dont want to drive the road 2 times so flying is an option?

Friend and I are planning a similar trip. What is your biking experience like? We only know the basics ... also how many days was your journey?

We have a lot of biking experience but at the time not much mechanics experience. Fortunately we didn't have any trouble with our bikes on the ride! We did it in about 7.5 days, but only because that was the time window I had off work. I would have loved to take a little more time.
