@@mariocorbett8134 Calling Nix a reach is ridiculous. A reach would have been moving up to the top 4 picks to get him. Being the sixth QB taken in the first 12 picks makes him a great pick. Remember this draft because the skills in this group make the first 10 QBs taken possible stars. If I am correct this group of QBs will compare well to the Elway/Marino/Blackledge draft. The first two of that group are both in the HOF and are household names across the NFL. Fair winds and following seas.
The RAMs have indicated they would've picked him up if possible and the Raiders weren't totally out of the picture... trading back would've been risky, at best.
I live in the Northwest....I been watching Nix play for years....The kids a baller....The best QB in the Draft for S.P. offense and game plan....nobody in the NFL world really knows about Nix....he's pack 12 and his games were all after hours... The kids a work horse and a gamer....Broncos will be back on top in a couple seasons ...Soon as Bo gets used to the NFL speed...Basically don't hold the ball...let it rip....
as a broncos fan, I was so happy when the vikings drafted jj so we could get nix. I never understood the hate in the pick. I think after this season or in a couple years people will look back at it completely differently
@@MontviewBlvdBabiez in college history, huh? He had a career completion percentage of 66% hardly the best ever. His senior year, may very well be the most accurate season ever, but that doesn’t make him the most accurate ever.
I think you missed Tim Patrick and the pick of Audric Estime. I believe both guys will play a prominent role in their respective position groups. I also am not convinced Nix would have fallen much if the Broncos had traded back. The reality is that you do not pick a guy at 12 unless you 100% believe he is the guy, and if you believe he is the guy, then you take him based on that, not based on where others think he should be picked. The fact is that those so called "Draft Experts" are wrong more often than they are right, and as an HC, you don't get paid to follow what the crowd thinks.
If pennix wasnt drafted the broncos may have got Nix later, but ultimately he was their guy. They graded Nix as third best qb overall but graded him as their best fit at QB. So if that's the case then you go with him, 12th overall isnt that crazy if he is a franchise QB. Remember some folks thought Mahomes was drafted early at 10.
definitely wouldn’t have sat on the board for long if we didn’t take him…Bowers wasn’t the raiders first choice. Not trynna point out negatives tho, this was a great vid man enjoyed watching
I said the same thing bro. Not gonna lie I was gonna be pissed if we passed up Bo. I know broncos don’t have a good record of drafting a qb but Bo I have feeling is a gonna be a good choice.
How badly would they be kicking themselves if they passed on him and the Raiders had taken him with the very next pick, leaving the broncos with Stidham and Wilson as the QB room?
Your forgot to mention both Jaleel McLaughlin and Audrick Estime, those two guys are gonna be problems in the backfield, deadly speed man. Perine gonna be our pass blocking back
1:02 Not correct. The raiders (the pick right after) post draft said they were trying to trade in front of Denver to draft Nix...so logically if the Broncos traded back he wouldve been gone 1 pick later. The NFL was higher on Nix then the media was and so far Nix has been proving teams right. Cant wait to see him play tho
I don't get how the narrative of trading back is still cycling around the NFL scene. The Raiders are in need of a QB and they absolutely would've taken Nix come their pick right after Denver.
Clearly you dont know what youre talking about when you dont have Tim Patrick as one of the top 3 receivers on the depth chart. Also, another team WAS a threat to grab Nix off the board. Which is why Denver didnt risk trading down.
Good video, just one bone to pick; Describing Payton's relatively short responses to non-stop media questions about Nix as "gushing" over him is the kind of disingenuous slant I expect from RU-vidrs. Take a more balanced view of that by going back & carefully listening to what he's actually said. Payton has been complimentary of Nix to a point of satisfying the reporters who won't stop talking about him so he can move to the next question. "Gushing" over Nix is not what I would describe it as...more like a measured evaluation that stays on the positive side because as Sean knows, & you point out, evaluations of guys in shorts & T-shirts throwing passes in mini camps or OTAs is dicey at best. In point of fact, Sean said almost the identical same things he's said about Nix when he signed Jarrett Stidham, but nobody noticed that. It's not a slam dunk that Nix is the 2024 starter. The Denver media has always been over the top when it comes to the Broncos, but exponentially so when the subject is the quarterback. I saw this as far back as the 1970s. I saw it magnified to extremes when Elway showed up. With the advent of social media the insanity has only gotten far worse. The bottom line is neither Sean Payton nor anyone else yet knows what Bo Nix is going to do when the real football season gets here. By putting this kind of pressure on a rookie QB, it increases the possibility for setting him up for failure.
Bro sushhhh no way u a broncos fan Payton was really short last year with responses especially when it came to Russ there is a definite change of attitude that is very clear this year, it’s clear he has the guy he wanted now
(Native of Santa Clara, Living in Denver since 1983) I think the Broncos are in a similar place as the 49ers were in the late 90's/early 2K's. The niners had ownership issues with Mr. Debartolo being "Lawfared" and losing the team, A string of bad couching hires, and talent no one could name, and they weren't very good for several years. One brief flash under Harbaugh.. Denver lost Mr. Bollen and and pretty much went down that same path. The 49ers hired a former Bronco as GM...So did the Broncos. Now Denver looks a lot like where the niners during those out years. San Francisco wasn't good until they were. No one knew their names ...until they played like they practiced. The book is out on Broncos management...we will see how that pans out. One good thing is a head coach that has built a team from scrapes. At least he knows what it takes, and what he wants.
@@richabbey1264 Thanks for the solid, reasoned-based approach with context surfaced as the key ingredient...it's quite rare to see in the social media fan base. I did considerable research on Greg Penner since it was obvious that 1) it matters greatly who he is, & 2) I already knew the lazy Denver sports media wouldn't care to. I came away highly impressed. I say this from the standpoint of somebody with a long history business research experience. Few fans even know that Rob Walton recently gifted most of his shares in the team to his grandchildren, making the Penners the primary owners now. Nor do they realize that Carrie Penner is more than just a a figurehead, & why that is important on a high level. The local media & podscape can't be bothered with such trivialities when all they need to do is fling out "BO NIX" for clicks, likes, follows & subscribes. This is exhibit A on why it's a waste of time listening to any of them. If you want real knowledge about what Payton & Co. is doing, you have to dig deep on the web from the standpoint of understanding how NFL teams create front office synergy & how NFL coaches prepare. IOW...what you learn will seem like Mandarin to 99.9% of the fan base but you'll be far better educated that everyone hanging on every word spoken by Cecil Lammey or DNVR.
Don’t like the way this guy runs and reports his channel?? Pretty fucking simple. Don’t watch his channel. I’m looking around here and for the life of me can’t find where he asked you for your input. SDASTFU.
As a broncos fan. I have been told “this is the year” every year since Peyton manning. If I get let down again and we can’t even get a winning season I swear 😭
Sean McVay for the Rams said that he would’ve took him in the first round so if we would’ve traded back we would’ve been stuck with Zack and Jared Stidham😂
I'd love to leave a comment and try to be as constructive as possible: 1. Bo Nix would not have been available later in the draft. The Raiders needed a quarterback and were planning to draft Pennix Jr, but don't be fooled that they wouldn't have considered Nix after they saw their guy taken. The LA Rams were also heavily connected with Bo, as he was seen as a viable successor to Stafford next year. The fact of the matter remains, The Broncos had to take him at 12. 2. You make the case that bringing on Mcglinchey and Powers was one of the reasons for Williams "recent success" but Williams hasn't been the same player for 2 years, due to injuries and he is currently fighting for his roster spot because he hasn't been successful. Therefore, your logic doesn't make sense. 3. And lastly, please pronounce "continuity" correctly. It makes me feel like you had AI generate the script and just read it which I hope is not the case
I stopped at if the Broncos traded back they could’ve gotten him later. Dumb as heck lol. Raiders and Saints needed a QB. Broncos didnt have a 2nd rounder. Trade back and use another first rounder to trade back in or what?
i wouldnt sleep on wilson, jets organization is a terrible organization. he just might find his feet with the broncos. Any way i think everyone knows by this point that gambling and entertainmen exerts a terrific influence on the games and we are definitely getting a tainted product. Last year i saw defenders diving out of the way while Mahomes was running the ball.
Denver broncos wide receivers....make sure there are no dropped passes. When running, always track the ball and then when it's in range drop your shoulder so that your body is in range of the ball so that when it falls, your centered on the football and it doesn't fly over your head.
No they probably wont make it to the playoffs becuase they want to rush things and not time there time to build a solid group...spending money on a good qb isnt going to win games, they should invest more in there defence and then it wont matter who the qb is,luckilky they didnt burn as much money as they did on wilson! Walton isnot doing a good job
Sorry, if you think Denver could have got Nix later in the draft, that's surface level thinking. They had to trick Minnesota into thinking they would grab McCarthy if they didn't move up to make sure to get him. And there were multiple teams that would have drafted Nix within the next 10 picks if Denver didn't. There were no more QB's picked for a long time after Nix was because he was the last of the perceived "top tier" QB's available. 😒 Every other QB available was seen by the entire league as project QB's.
You still have a defense that can give up 50 points in a half of a game not that great of a offense line maybe you can score more than a dozen times in a year if you are lucky
@odell4625 thry are 3 outstanding drafts away from that. Only 3 good players on this roster as of now. This roster is trash until they prove otherwise
@@robertpulliam4152 you ain’t seen shit this year but you can call them trash? Lol trash us 7/8 wins on a year that started 1-5 you ppl are just stupid individuals that’s why I usually pay you idiots no mind. When I wanna entertain dumb ppl I read comment sections of real trash n real losers calling professional millionaires (trash) while your lives are really trash
As a broncos fan we might be cooked our division is gonna quite scary with John Harbaugh,Andy Reid and Antonio Pierce as head coaches. Plus i think Raiders could have a chance of beating us
Gaslit yet again. Remove Nix insert Paxton Lynch, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, Teddy Two Gloves and more closely boilerplated... "3 Super Bowls minimum" Russell Wilson. Another offseason of gaslighting by well paid content creators. Broncos are ALWAYS overhyped each and every offseason. Oh yeah, I'll see yet again for the 9th straight year.
The Broncos will surprise some people. However there will be growing pains still. I don't believe the hype of a QB battle even though they will be claiming that all throughout preseason. The QB question is will Zach improve enough to make it to where we can get and accept offers for Stids. Running Back will be interesting as well with the addition of Estime. Greg and Tim need to make comebacks and be the players they were promised to be, which will be hard coming off of back to back season injuries. CB 2 is up for grabs and anybody's guess at this point I hope Moss personally.
Nah at this point I think we just need him on stand by meaning use him in certain packages he just too injury prone I think he has potential if he's healthy but nah not a the moment
In order to be a dynasty, you have to win super bowls. In order to win super bowls you have to WIN GAMES! Last time the Broncos won it was 2015. Sutton needs to choose his words carefully.
You sound like you came off the bench in high school. What player is gonna say “hey we suck so there’s no expectations” it’s a possibility broncos could start winning and might get a ring and continue on doing so. You act like he just said he was goin to be in a dynasty we he simply just said he wants to be a part of dynasty with the broncos that’s all. How the hell did you hear that and say “Sutton should not say that “ ?
Even though Bo is an untested Rookie he will start for the Bronco's as expected. He has a better arm than Wilson and will pass for 5000 yards this season with have a minimum 6 touchdowns per game and run for 200 yards! He looks great in practice and that will show in his first year in the league that defenses were will be mesmerized by this Rookie. I expect him to lead the Bronco's to the Super Bowl and be an all pro QB. He has more savvy than Tom Brady pure and simple and will wear 10 super bowl rings before he retires. Since the media, the coach and the fans are behind him there ain't nothing this young QB can do!!! GOOOO BRONCOOOOS!!!
