He’s just a interested person generally, I remember years ago he was telling some rapper about Sam Harris and free will and that sold me.

Adam had ice poseidon on the podcast a while back, so it’s not so far fetched he’d be aware of other streamers, especially one that is as prolific as Destiny. It’s still nice to see. I’ve been enjoying this “Destiny crosses over with famous RU-vid channels” arc so far.

I think people underestimate how well known Destiny is. I mean between the debate with Jontron, his friendship with Aba & Preach (who have millions of subs) and going on Fresh and Fit twice if I’m not mistaken he’s actually a really decently famous guy.

I completely agree. I’m a lefty and I have cousins that are right wingers in their own little right wing bubbles . By just being cool with them and having intelligent convos/debates with them, I’ve broke their idea of what a liberal is. They use to think all liberals were these screeching, purple haired SJW. I was even able to convince them how insane supporting Trump is. Watching Destiny has really helped me out with that by learning good arguments.

I’d argue that actually empathy is a huge part of it. You need to be empathetic to those who hold views that you don’t fully understand or may react to. In fact, Destiny highlights how he learned the value of empathy in this podcast

His interviewing skills have improved vastly. In that aspect he is like Rogan. Rogan’s first few years of podcasting were awful. But he reflected on them and improved. Adam has totally done the same thing. His success has definitely been a result of that.
