Synopsis: The Deuce season 3 chronicles the dying days of Times Square as the heart of the American sex trade. It is the eve of 1985, and the party’s winding down. 42nd Street has deteriorated into a hive of uncontrolled violent crime and seedy video stores, making urban renewal seem more unlikely than ever before. But change is on the way: just as VHS overtakes film as the primary medium for porn production and distribution, the lure of the California sunshine, the city’s aggressive takeover of commercial sex properties, and the devastating impact of the AIDS epidemic mark the end of an era. The fall is here.

Cuz it a David Simon show, since Generation Kill and The Wire he aint getting the audiences he used to, that be why.

@@woodwyrm No he never got major audiences. His work is critically acclaimed but the neilson ratings are high enough that the shows avoid cancellation. Never record breaking numbers. The Wire found a larger audience after it was off the air.

I've been a fan of the is show from the start and thought season three started really well but went of the boil in the last three episodes. Overall, thought it was great though.

Two versions of Talking Heads "Once In A Lifetime", the album version first, then after the break the "Stop Making Sense" live version. And the very first song is a dub edit of "You Spin Me Round" by Dead or Alive

It was pretty good but the majority of music could've been paired better which would've brought up the excitement level, added momentum, and made the mini series more appealing to anyone who remembers that era and even for those who weren't even born yet. (The talking heads were fine for 1985. That was a good match.) It's the earlier music from 1970 on that most people probably won't be able to connect with which is what didn't help carry the film as well as widely played, harder, semi underground popular tunes of that time could've.
