That also works in MW3, not BTR but in the first mission Black Tuesday on the rooftop where you must clear all enemies from another buildings with UAV a Hind appears and when you shoot at it including your XM25 it will said "Your weapons will not damage in this vehicle" but in reality you can shoot it down with XM25 numerous times.

Originally, that BTR wasn't meant to be destroyed b/c it's part of the games programming. Since you can, Foleys dialogue doesn't come up.

I do remember when I was a kid I coincidentally found this trick to destroy the BTR on this mission. And the BMP vehicle in the Cliffhanger mission (if I remember correctly). But, sometimes it's a bit difficult because I died countless times due to vehicle explosions when destroyed and of course there is a certain distance to do that so as not to be damaged by the explosion of the vehicle.
