Nicely done. Chapter 5, being the climax, deserved more patience and soft emphasis. A bit more patience in reading, a pause of silence gives the audience pause to ponder and to anticipate. Thank you for making this available to us. It was read countless times by my father when I was so young I only remember the title and sitting upon his lap with my siblings, some on the arm of the chair, some on the floor,
Thank you for the nice words. I appreciate your opinions and I agree with you. If I ever re-do this piece I will heed your advice. I am glad this video could invoke memories and bring you some joy
Thank you so much for this audiobook reading, Nicholas. I was initially disappointed that I couldn’t find this book on Audible but that turned out to be a good thing because it gave me a reason to discover your channel.
Thanks David. I like to think my work has improved since I recorded this in college, so I hope you can find some other videos of mine that are enjoyable for you. Thanks for the kind comment
I really enjoyed your reading. It would be helpful if someone corrected your occasional mispronunciations before posting. Thank you for this engaging rendition!
That was something that irritated me as well. It’s not pronounced like “Bennett,” it’s pronounced like “Ben-nay.” The accent over the “e” is a clue to the correct pronunciation.
I love your narrative voice here. I was so so about the actual story. Too corny and silly at points and the ending glossed over in superficial fashion.
