I don't know what to think or say. I have many questions. Why would the devil travel all the way to an obsure little town near Rome to possess a young lady who really has no power on this world and cannot influence anythign or anyone? Why would the devil, who we are told is evil and crafty, want to advertise his presence in any way? IF the devil wants to commit evil acts, I'd guess he'd do it in more subtle ways. And what is the scope of the devil "possessing" someone? Aren't there enough people doing evil in the world? And what about those priests, or lay people, who abuse of small, defenceless children - are they possessed in any way?

Is anyone thinking what I’m thinking? It was really telling when they brought her father over to have prayers said for him and the evil seemed to reemerge. Then they offered prayers for the mother and the evil expressions ramped up. Reminds me of the defense mechanism of repression. Repressed memories of possible abuse, be it emotional, physical and/ or sexual abuse may emerge in a person whose cultural or familial values frowns upon reproaching a parent/ caregiver or elder. It may take the form of hyper religious beliefs. The reaction to the prayers being said for her parents may have actually outraged her. IF her father was abusive in any way (an act of commission) and her mother appeared to stand by and do nothing to stop the abuse (an act of omission) then it follows that her reaction would be one of anger towards the father and even more anger toward the ‘safer’ parent- the one who was not abusive but who should have stopped it. Just as we admonish the person who does something violent, we have a particular dislike for the person who doesn’t abuse, but stands by and does nothing to help. ( yes, I have personal experience with an abusive, narcissistic mother and a father who stood by and did nothing. My background sparked my interest to study psychology- particularly Family Systems Theory) another case that may shed light on this one is The Salem Witch Trials. Girls who had no ‘voice’ or ‘power’ in early America found a way to be heard and control what they had no previous control over- strict societal rules and hierarchy.

I went to see The Exorcist in Leeds UK 2 days before the city council got round to banning it 1973 0r 1974.I can honestly say it scared the shit out of me for years to come and still does.I dare say the "real life" documentary will not have the same effect or meet with the same success but I will dare go see it.

Friedkin using his documentary skills to revisit the topic that put him on the map. There is a synchronicity to this that’s really intriguing. Easy to be cynical, that takes zero effort. Look forward to seeing this, if only to dwell in the world of ‘what if?’

The situation is more dire than any time in history. We not only have Satan and it's demons to battle with but now our enemy has technology in its weapon inventory. Remote Neural Monitoring, Electronic Harassment, electronic stalking, and on and on. Those humans who operate these weapons are demonically influenced or possessed. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 St. Michael protect us in battle. Amen.

If you compare the audio at 44:39 and 33:21 of the documentary, it is possible to see the same video clip and hear the voice of the woman ''distorted' vs. 'not distorted'. it would be a pity to find out that the audio is modified.

The people who are exorcised at least by the Catholic Church must go through an extensive evaluation before their exorcism. The evaluation includes a psychiatric and medical examination. After which the exorcist or priest looks for signs of possession e.g. they check if the person is sensitive to blessed items that are never revealed to the person, if they speak languages they have no training in, if they are abnormally strong, if they levitate. This is not a game the number of priests being trained in exorcisms is growing contrary to what you would think in our "modern" society. Many of the victims of possession have sought psychiatric and psychological treatment for years without any relief.

Interesting for sure. One big problem is the sequence at the end. He says “I didn’t bring a camera in” and then tells the most amazing account of what happened. Like..... wtf man you were making a documentary film and you didn’t bring a camera???? Also the voice of the woman was majorly creepy. A bit too creepy.

Just saw this....Its funny how this priest was alive for so long but as soon as this documentary was done or after this director paid him a visit.....he caught phenonia. Sad.

Not sure what to make of this film but that doesn't mean that the supernatural isn't real. Most people intend to follow the mainstream anyway so to believe in this is too much for them & therefore can't deal with it.

The person annointed for expelling demons is EVERYBODY believeing that Jesus Christ is THE Messiah, that He is the Son of God. Then the person HAS the authority over devil. If a priest is doubting and in fear of devil, he should repent, accept Jesus to his heart and should be filled up with a Holy Spirit as in the Book of acts, chapter 2. devil is defeated on the Cross by Jesus’ death and resurrection... I personally have three experiences with this topic. Only one of them was so graphic like in the movie. But the other two were in peace, demon left the person and the person was set free. Jesus said that he came to set thebcaptives free (Isaiah 61) and that we should have life in fullness (John 10).

Her voice during “possession” was digitally altered. It’s obvious. The two-tone voice is a standard audio effect.

Еще я хотела написать, что по моему пониманию изгнание демонов может проводит любой чистый духовный человек и даже не священник! Все эти люди должны были встать в круг и соединить руки месте чтобы энергия была одна! Тогда чистый добрый духовный человек ( еще лучше если он будет девственник, поэтому в католической церкви священники были не женатые как Иисус) будет проводит ритуал изгнания, где в процессе ритуала одержимый человек будет манипулировать им, выдавая какие то его личные секреты или его личные страхи, что скорее всего приведет к разрушению самого ритуала, если человек отвлечется! То есть проведение ритуала издания демона с одержимого - это как столкновение со своим личным темным подсознанием или своим темным Альтер Эго или своими страхами, которое в образе другого одержимого человека будет выдавать это - пытаясь разрушить весь ритуал! То есть это может реально негативно отразиться на изгоняющем и даже убить его со временем! Священников с прошлого ( времен Иисуса) нельзя сравнить с разжиревшими ленивыми педофилами священниками с Ватикана сейчас - так как раньше в годы Иисуса тысячи лет назад, священник жили в пещерах/ голодали/ мучали себя духовно и физически/ много читали/ много путешествовали пешком по миру/помогали людям/ проводили ритуалы в пещерах а не в дорогих церквях! Я честно сказать не очень уважаю и доверяю священникам как они есть сейчас, но я люблю Библию как книгу ( верю всему что там написано и даже эта книга полностью логичная для меня во всем!) и люблю религию как возможность спасения всех людей с какой бы расы они бы не были, (правда я не знаю от чего мы спасаемся, так как не вижу в чем прелесть вечной жизни на одной и той же земле)! В любом случае этот фильм полный позор и мне жаль всех этих наивных итальянцев-, что доверили себя в руки этого дедушки/ церкви и дали себя использовать как Кристина для раскрутки угасающей в Италий религий и раскрутки всех на деньги! Есть книги с именами всех адских иерархий и демонов - то есть можно посмотреть как зовут какого либо демона ( то есть это публичная информация)! Как люди знают все имена апостолов, так все имена демонов публичные - каждый может их познать! Не думаю что демонов нужно бояться или они могут что то сделать 8 миллиардам людей нашего мира - людей намного больше чем демонов в этом мире и демоны уже бояться людей! Просто если человек пытается скушать яблоко с Дерева Добра и Зла - то познание Зла труднее чем познание Добра и может разрушить самого человека, то есть лучше ему быть духовно готовым, с чем он может столкнуться! Это известный факт, что большое количество людей что познают Зло сходят с ума, так как человеческая психика просто не может вынести темную сторону жизни ( убийство/ насилие/ страдание что происходят в разных точках мира каждый день с миллионами людей, как это вынести как темную энергию?)! This is absolutely ridiculous! No wonder there was such a fight with this poor woman Christine in this movie! This priest is calling on the Virgin Mary and Archangels to bring him power?? Asking the enemy, "when are you going to leave her?"!??? There is no power in the name of Mary! The only power is in the name of JESUS CHRIST! This man does not need to call on God for help or for power. If he knew his authority in the name of Jesus, he could rebuke the spirit out, in JESUS NAME without asking for help.
