Ya know what's funny, i actually saw a version of the lyrics where the 'singing saw playing uncomfortably numb ' line had apparently been misheard by the transcriber as 'singing saw playing hooked up to the nub(?)' Aforementioned transcriber has apparently never heard pink floyd... Edit: these may very well be among my favorite lyrics of any song, ever

I am sort of in the same boat. I The Dead South is the other one I like as well. Who knows, later this year I might be bumpin nothing but bluegrass all day lol.
Its more of a song about Americas materialistic obssession and debt and how we are controlled by media and the pharmaceutical/drug industry. It has nothing to do with capitalism.
