@@HackTheMovies I will work towards a world where people will be free to have unpopular opinions and make jokes that make small groups of uppity turds uncomfortable. Till then that's a smart move. I think I will sign up for your Patreon. Keep up the good work! Lovin that Castzilla VS the Pod Monster.
@@BigSexyWizard I disagree, good sir. You have forgotten the Lucifer series on netflix. The Lucifer series has the devil as not only compelling, charming, and likeable (if totally self absorbed), but has you rooting for him. He's literally the main character on the show, and is often the hero of specific plot arcs. Oh and he's british because reasons. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
@@TechnoLawyer you are totally correct i love that series but I don't consider Lucifer the bad guy, evil or selfish maybe but not the antagonist of the story really. In most depictions of the devil he is the antagonist and portrayed in an evil manner but in this movie he is almost anti hero. He tells Keanu to take care of his wife and to let go of his vanity and tells him its his biggest weakness. He spells it all out for him and tries to warn him and is ignored instead. The devil is the villain but he is not necessarily evil.
It's called life. People have to cut things to make time for other stuff such as family. Tbh it was probably for the best for James considering his daughters are getting older.
I enjoy your playfully twisted sense of humor, Tony! Newt is impressive with his extensive movie knowledge. Keep up the great work on your show, and Newt... believe in yourself more.
ok yeah can't wait for this one \m/ I was pretty young the first time I watched it and Damn I loved it. I really enjoy what you do Tony. Often you make me realise stuff I did not noticed or think about haha.. like the one about Mortal kombat.. how the hell johnny cage exited scorpion place xD keep up the good work my friend =]
I know you're a busy man putting in work for these awesome reviews, but if you ever review Heavyweights I will love you long time! *I also want a directors cut of this review..
So no one is gonna talk about how that "Paradise Lost" book was printed and folded by one PETER PARKER?? Makes me wonder what Marvel Universe he belongs to lol.
Tony, kudos to this series, this def fills the void in my heart for rental reviews, I’m hyped for the Jason reviews!!!! Keep up the good content, I appreciate everything you guys do with this series!!!!
What? Jason reviews? You mean Friday the 13th? I must have missed that part and don't got time to zip back through it. Does he say when he's gonna be doing them? I'm subbed and have notifications on, but there are a handful of channels that YT doesn't give me notifications for, Hack The Movies being one of them.
This was the best hack the movies video i have seen yet. Awsome man. My dad let me watch this movie when i was pretty young too. Longer vids are awsome dude. Thanks for the flashback im ordering this movie now.
Mina harker's (wynonna ryder) dresses also do that through the Dracula movie the greens get paler as she's being fed on, red when she's on the precipice of turning, and when they save her, her dress goes back to the green. But always, the flower motif..
The Great White Hope was both a play (1967) and a movie (1970) about the boxer Jack Johnson and his marriage to Etta Duryea. Both play and movie starred James Earl Jones and Jane Alexander.
Great white hope was boxing. They got an old white heavyweight champion out of retirement to try to beat Jack Johnson (a black man) because they couldn't handle a black man being champ.
It’s been a while and maybe I’m missing something that he clearly remembers, but I always took it like he was waking from a dream and had a moment of knowing that fades. He doesn’t really act like he has the memories.
This is excellent! lol and this reviews wasn't filmed to long ago if it was during the cuties debacle. Maybe cap them at 45 mins tops though? :) I love it brings the rental reviews vibe just more raw!!!
11:11 do married guys take off their wedding rings when they wash? Maybe maybe not. Should they? Yes. There’s germs and bacteria that can stay under the ring where you’re not washing. I won’t do it at work because I don’t want to forget and lose it. At at home I definitely wash with my ring off, being sure it’s away from the drain or in my pocket. So it could be some trait like he’s super hygienic or something or he’s that squeaky clean there isn’t even dirt under his ring. I dunno. But there’s an explanation for you.
No joke, when I was in 9th grade in Cincinnati, my English teacher was Jonathan Lemkin’s mother Rosie. I was NOT her favorite student but she mentioned her son wrote screenplays and other things for legit movie industry ppl, and after enough prodding she told us this was one of them.
Hey Tony! Not sure but remember that Keanu had a motorcycle accident that ended up with a scar on his abdomen, you can search it on google and see. I think it is healed now but if you look at photos during Speed you can see that
The Devil did everything to throw Keanu’s character for a loop. “They never see me coming.” It’s to get everyone looking in the wrong direction so THEY NEVER SEE HIM COMING.
I always loved this movie. YES even Keanu's hilarious accent. ESPECIALLY his accent. Bless This wild ass film. With such classic lines as: "My client didn't need any goat licensing, any goat registration." and "A horrible hog beast? OH I'M SORRY, DISGUSTING PIG MONSTER!"
Chalize Theron creeps me out in this movie. all the crap with her and then it climaxing with her suicide, the suicide scene fucks with me. She was very convincing
I remember see this movie that was on vacation in Mexico when I have seen thins movie for the last time... The crazy part about it was it was on TBS down there and they took out the swearing but left the nudity it was so crazy to see that with commercials!!!
When I worked for Gotham Electric we helped rewire the cathedral on 5th ave they shot the nude scene in. We also helped them build a Australian hipster cafe inside the actual cathedral itself which I thought was weird.
Oh, I'd like to see a review of The Shadow. It was released in 1994,, stars. Alec Baldwin and is directed by Russell Mulcahy. Mulcahy also did both highlander. I think this movie is terrible, but at the same time I enjoy it a lot. Like the actors and actresses make the best of it, but something about the sets and effects remind me of a television production. Maybe it's the cinematography, I don't know something just feels super low budget to me.
The rights for "Sympathy for the devil" do cost more money than other rolling stones songs. I learned that b/c Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas wanted that song for the ending but b/c of the very high cost they went with "Jumping Jack Flash" instead.
the scar is from removing a rib, as in adam and eve. and the shot of pacinos shoes is to show that they are impossible shoes with no creases and hoofed
I know I am late to watch this video. I do apologize. The drunk deal was excellent. I like the interrupting "delete" scenes from Tony. Also, I like the real world sarcasm or positive comedic sarcasm concerning the devil and Trump. Anyways, you guys did a very entertaining video. Thank you, and keep the good work. 🤠👍
I know I'm incredibly late with this but I'm from NYC and I'm pretty sure that's Broadway, north of Times Square. What we see in the movie is on that avenue (Broadway), just not the part that runs through Times Square.
I do like this movie but imagine if it's star Jack Nicholson as the devil and Nicolas Cage is the lawyer and the Nicholson could reprise his role from Witches of Eastwick
