I am completely in awe! I realized the effect music has had on my life and society some time ago. The way it is exposed in this video is seriously causing me to consider coming to Islam. I have been watching the jinn series for a week. It has awakened something in my soul, peeked my curiosity! Could it possibly be my Creator calling out my heart? Thank you so much for educating me. Allah bless you all 🖤
People talk about dirty dancing ok lyrics are one thing which can be evil but what abou belly dancing or is evil just for hip hop or black music its all evil evil is evil
please do not get too involved in the jinn series as it may harm u , too much curiosity abt them makes them happy and invites them , rather watch abt Islam theology like blogging theology
Oh come on guys. I’ve been a part time musician for 17 years, I’ve had a love for music since I was a kid. I just listened to some recitations the other day and teared up. I can’t think of many times when I thoughtfully listened to the Quran and and didn’t get overwhelmed to a certain extent. We’re not incompetent children that need to be kept from sticking our fingers in electrical sockets. You can have love for god and passion for music at the same time, an adult can do more than 1 thing. Music can give people an escape from their regular lives, lighten their mood, get them through a difficult time. A lot of concerts are held for charity for the hungry and less fortunate. As for lyrics, The Quran encourages us to think for ourselves, you can like how something sonically sounds while understanding the words are nothing more than music without taking the “message “ at face value. The Quran talks about getting to know other tribes and learn from each other, learning the music of a people is a fantastic window into their culture. The Quran itself has a vary rhythmic, musical nature to it. It’s one of the key components that attracted converts in it’s infancy. Like many gifts from god, music can become toxic if used the wrong way. Food, the opposite sex, knowledge, charisma, all of these gifts can become unhealthy in excess and used for negativity. You just need to use the wisdom god allowed you to know where to draw the line. Use the brain god gave you and question when someone tells you to give up something that’s done nothing but uplift you and give you purpose without imposing on anyone.
There's actually plenty songs that are about worshipping the devil but people won't really notice, we sing songs or listen to songs that have a great tune that's addicting to listen to, the devil gets happy. May Allah protect us all from this horror and forgive us for not knowing music is haram, now we know and we will stop it inshallah!
+Omar Muzammil Praise be to Allah! May he help you to feel a love so deep that all else pales in comparison. A love so deep that hunger is nourished and thirst is quenched!
Im even more blessed because I left islam after studying Quran, ahadeeth, sunnah, seerah, shariah and fiqh in uae, ksa, israel as I’m Palestinian, and Egypt. Islam is of the devil Allah خير الماكرين is Satan for he admits that he is a makir aka deceiver. He admits to being آلمضل he who leads people astray and that he’s the الضار or he who inflicts harm. These are of his 99 names and they are attributes of Satan. My name is Mohamed and today I expose Islam as I have a death sentence on me in Uae and ksa for renouncing islam. That’s what islam commands. من بدل دينه فاقتلوه
@@moekawach4682 we all know liars like you will always try to deceive people. May Allah guide you and guide us all because people like you will not have any share in akhira.
Mahmud Hasan Shourov this is exactly how Muslims reply when they have no answers. They accuse people of lying lol. First of all, my name is Mohamed, and I’m fluent in Arabic so if you want to switch and discuss this in Arabic, let’s go for it. ماعنديش ايمانع انياثنت لك اني كنت مسلم و كفرت بمحمد الارهابي و دينه الفاسد. I linked a few words so that if you use google translate you will not be able to. I can provide my birth certificate which unfortunately states the religion as I was born in the United Arab Emirates, a 100% Muslim nation. I studied ISLAm academically and have a degree in Islamic studies with a major in shariah and fiqh from gami3at al azhar fi tanta w tab3an Il azhar ma3rouf. Btw, statistics in Saudi Arabia state that 37% of saudis renounced ISLAm, and 2 million leave islam yearly in Indonesia for Christianity alone while double that number become atheist. The largest number of people renouncing islam is in Iran, Iraq. Syria and Egypt as 876 Muslims leave islam daily in Egypt alone. These are statistics we in the Arab world know very well as they were proclaimed all over our media. U can deny all you want. I’ll give you a link just about Indonesia!

Mimzy Blitz Electro music: I can't say anything about it as I don't know much myself Dubstep without the singing: It's actually the musical instruments that are explicitly and clearly declared Haram.
Im new in islam Im only 17years old for 16 years I've been eating haram because idk that it was wrong when I came to my mother I accepted islam in my life Im not religious but Im studying islam slowly .but now I just found out music is haram Its maybe hard for me to removed because music makes me happy but for Islam I will try my best To remove it
Tiffany I'm so happy that you found Islam Alhamdulillah! You are special that is why Allah choose u to be a Muslim. To answer ur question, I think that the more u study Islam, & become closer to Allah, u will gradually start to dislike music. If I may make a suggestion to u: u can download the Iqra app. It has tons of Islamic station. Listen to lectures instead of music. U will gain great knowledge & reward becoz u r in Dhikr! There are also Islam game apps that challenge ur Islamic knowledge, & it's super fun & addictive. U can even get ur friends to get the app, & challenge each other on who knows more! Also there is the PeaceTV app!! It has programs on 24/7 & it's very entertaining. There is so much out here to do besides listen to harmful music :-)
There is a moment, when you open the Quran and at some verse you read is feels so heart touching, because your heart are open to it, it is the most happy moment than listening to musics May Allah grant you tawfiq to find happiness in His ways
Tiffany, don't be swayed by this totally uninformed nonsense. Music is not evil. Sure, the music industry is full of wicked people and modern music programs so many messages of sex, violence, egotism, and overindulgence but Abrahamic religion gives endless examples of God adoring music and asking people to play or sing, David and his harp, etc. This is just people posting as educated who take a simple concept and run with it. God made us how we are and even babies are born able to sway and dance and clap. It's a gift and the sin is to think God such a narcissist and sociopath that he would sabotage us with an apparent gift. People spreading this are the ones sinning asbits s self absorbed and narcissistic avenue to attention and seeming saher and wiser than you.
Think about it rationally. The ppl supporting this ridiculous radical nonsense are supporting and spreading it by commenting on their smart phones. If anything were evil as can be, 20000 times more than music ever was, is a smartphone. How much more narcissistic can such hypocrites be when they swear off music and not smartphones.
And my God, what kind of self absorbed jerk tells people something is wrong to do, using a filthy smartphone, and hahaha...say music is evil in its entirety WHILE MUSIC PLAYS in the background. Don't agree with such selfish people, call em out...or at least ignore them. Jesus said he loved God but hated religion. Use your common sense to determine what's right and wrong it's why god gave us reason. And rules people come up with, nomatter how holy you think they are, rules saying this trivial thing is evil or that natural thing and nstural feeling is evil because God is a saddistic psychopath I guess to them, trust the common sense and reason God gave you and not the random rules that people get attention and veneration and adoration by pretending they know something u don't even if it makes no logical sense. How are self serving attention whores more likely to give u truth than your own inner voice and brain God made you with.
I have stopped hearing music one & half year ago.But recently when I am bored I listen to music.I am trying to avoid.I am not that addicted but still don't want to get influenced. The time I spend can be used for reciting Quran or studying instead of listening .May ALLAH(swt) forgive me my sins of listening to music.Ameen!!
If you wanna listen to something when bored...i suggest you to listen Nasheeds without musics...there are plenty of nasheeds out there which can soothe your heart and soul......
You can listen to Maher Zain's songs as a substitute to other songs, these nasheeds are Islamic and about Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad PBUH or you can listen to other artists like Sami Yusuf, etc.
As a Christian, I totally agree. In a world which rejects God more and more, In a world which turns to idols more and more, In a world which becomes completely insane, We as children of God, regardless of our varying beliefs, must move closer together. In defence of true love, which is the very essence of our creator! Salam malaikum brothers and sisters! (hope I spelled that right)
the sheikh was right, it's either music or quran in your heart, but saying this stuff wouldn't help that much, we have to know how to actually fight it, and in other words, vanish it, in my opinion, if you're really addicted to music, one should start to involve nasheeds in his playlists and start including Quran as well, step by step inshallah!
+newextremewatcher lets be honest, it's hard to just quit it all of a sudden, I tried, then went back few weeks later. So I decided to take this path, and I also started leaving my headphones home when I leave, which was hard for me, Bec I had to listen to anything on my way to college. Alhamdullah, step by step and inshallah Allah will guide us all.
It depends on the nasheeds as well as some still sound like music and I found when I would listen to them, I would eventually just go back to mainstream music. I find listening to podcasts (such as freshly grounded) or Quran or reading books during commutes to be the best practical solutions.
Not easy it took me 6 months To get rid of worldly music Interestingly I failed over and over again over 6 months ! I finally was cured after hearing Omar Hishams Mastery of reading Allahs words in sounds of the Quran- I was for ever changed and now Allahs words have become my shield and Armor ! 2 months later I lost my attachment to TV and Then 1 month later stopped Porn. "First there was the Word" Allahs word is the oral tradition that is written as the Quran- the one who has this in the heart- that heart no longer has the ripe environment for toxicity.... Now no music of this world affects me - the words of Allah is my Music
Salam All. I used to listen to music 6+ hours a day for over a decade. This year marks 2 years without music. I thank Allah for guiding me and hope my story gives someone hope and confidence to do the same. Now when I hear music indirectly it sounds so crud. My mood now is also significantly more pleasant and calm. ❤
Assalamolakam! How did you stop? I am trying to but I still end up listening to it? Music makes me feel great in the moment. How do I replace with something else that is fun?
+Abdullahi Mohamoud Music is haram, look at the artists and you will see that they sold their souls, maybe a few are not contracted by the devil, but they will be as soon they begin selling records and they will misguide you. Also what is more important reading Quran or wasting time listening to music. Even too much sleep is haram, so too much music or jewtube is also haram. follow the Quran, not hadith. The reason we as Muslims disagree is because we follow Hadiths that are written 300 years later after Muhamed salalahu alajhi we sellam, and the Quran forbids us to follow any other hadith except the Holy Quran. In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe. Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution. GOD has revealed herein the best Hadith; a book that is consistent, and points out both ways (to Heaven and Hell). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for GOD's message. Such is GOD's guidance; He bestows it upon whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by GOD, nothing can guide them. GOD cites the example of a man who deals with disputing partners (Hadith), compared to a man who deals with only one consistent source (Quran). Are they the same? Praise be to GOD; most of them do not know. These are GOD's revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than GOD and His revelations do they believe? Which Hadith, other than this, do they uphold? follow Quran not hadith. How can Muslims believe the hadith books when they tell a story about Muhamed salelahu aljehi we sellem that he had 11 or 12 wifes, when in Quran it is written to marry no more than 4. So Muhamed salahu alejhi we selem according the hadiths did not follow the Quran. The hadiths are bad and all the bad talk to Muslims comes from the hadith. I do not believe the story about the wifes and i do not believe Muhamed salalahu alejhu we sellem merried a 6 year old girl. Hadiths changed a lot and the reason Muslims kill Muslims today is because of these hadiths. Also discussing matters about Islam with non believers and letting them talk bad about Islam, Quran And prohet peace be upon them, is haram. And the purpose of the hadith books is just that, the ones that wrote these books did a very big haram. Many Muslims left Islam and became non believers, because the hadith and these stories. I pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta ala to guide us to the right path.
May Allah protect us all from the clutches and evil plans of the shayateen, and from those who worship him. And may He the Turner of Hearts have mercy upon those who are listening to music, and may He save them from it. AMEEN!!!
brothers and sisters, if you really want to listen something outside, we can listen Qur'an while on the bus or subway or something else from our mp3 players, phones etc. so we can listen something good with this way, we can memorize Qur'an even, we remember Allah more often and inşaAllah maybe Allah give us those good points ( i dont know english version of it ) while doing this. may Allah protect us from bad things, bad habits and forgive our sins.
I am a Muslim myself and this is why I don't listen to music that promotes bad things may Allah get rid of the bad music and protect us and forgive us for our sins and put us in Jannah Ameen.
I just deleted all the 274 songs on my phone... Alhamdulillah, please please i advise the rest of you to do the same is it undoubtedly the best move may Allah guide as all Ameen.
It's doesn't matter how sweet and nice the song sounds, it's music, and Allah made music haram. As Allah says, there is more harm to it than benefits, when speaking about alcohol. But, it's still haram! Maybe that song Stitches has benefits, but there is much more harm to it that you don't even know of. Music is put alongside comitting adultery and consuming alcohol in a hadith prohibiting it.
ya Allah please forgive us all! ya Allah please guide us to the right path! ya Allah increase us in our deen! ya Allah you are the only one that can help us. ya Allah help us to stop listening to music! ameen ya rab!
It's a sign of the mercy of Allah that you are watching/watched this video right now, so Don't ignore it and skip all your music you have on your mobile devices. Wallahi brothers and sister, I beg ya'll to be a good Muslim and May Allah gide ya'll. Amin. 🙏🏽💪🏽❤️
I’m into a group called BTS, a kpop group. And i agree that my heart kinda got occupied.. but i was very very young too atm and was bullied at school, and their music was my only comfort. I wasnt told specifically that i could also find my comfort in here. And for the past 2-3 weeks i’ve been so much into islan mashallah searching everything by myself learning so much new of my religion and i’m trying now to start my prayer again and keep it 5 times a day. Inshallah i will do that. Everyday i think about allah, i do have my kpop on the side, or bts, but i never forget allah. I’m just 15 right now and my goal for the coming 2020 is to become a better muslim, and focus alot of my religion. But i noticed, the bts, the passion i got for them are not coming in my way at all. I have definately lowered it, but right now its not harmful. I hope i can continue like this, and if getting rid of this completely is more rightful, i hope allah can help me in this, because bts’s songs are very meaningful for me and has helped me thru the hard times before i came to allah, and theres still some kinda comfort i find in them. May allah guide me right, if this is wrong i will do my best to leave it.
When I hear or listen to music it make me sick, panic and feel angry. I've stop listening to music for good now weather be vocal or instumental. I've stopped Al-Humdulila. It is pure sickness ! My music if you like to call it that is the Qur'an. When I hear it, it brings peace to my heart Al-Humdulila!! JazakAllah for a great video !!
I m definitely like u dear brother music makes me sick in the stomach because Alhamdillulah my heart has become so attached to the holy Quran I ve developed a love habit of reading Quran everyday no matter what happens I can t imagine my life without it.the music is the voice of satan because when u listen all you think about is ur temptations may Allah swt guides us all more and more in this filthy world we live in corruption is everywhere Alhamdillulah for the blessing of Islam
@@abbasssabbah9183 Al-Humdulila that is great news my dear brother. Allah SWT has made this life for us as a mere test so we must use it well. Music only hardens the heart while the Holy Qur'an enrich it - Allah hu Akbar ! All thanks and praises belong to Allah SWT the one and only Lord and Master of Worlds and beyond !
+Sneaker Fiend Salam alaikum, Brother! I'd be more than happy to help guide you with your newly embraced faith. I understand it can be a daunting task, but in'sha'Allah, it is a beautiful journey ahead. I accepted Islam 6 years ago, so please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions.
JazakAllahu khayr TheMercifulServant. It is indeed a meaningful & beneficial reminder. May Allah make it easy for every each of the Muslim who is struggling to detach themselves from music & may He make our heart attached to Quran.
Being a music producer I believe that different musical genres have different effects on the human mind ex. metal, trap, dubstep do put on aggression which is why I completely agreed with the fact that nowadays musical industry is nothing but dirty and the worst part is that it's all over the mainstream but then, on the other hand, we have a tribunal, music for meditation and to relax our mind as well [ ex. the one playing in your video is one of them ]. So, nothing against you or the religion as I understand that you said that here since music can also play with your mind and make you do things which you're not supposed to and because of which music is abandoned entirely in here [ like I said nothing against your beliefs but you know, everything has it's own negative and positive sides which then led us to another question what is negative and positive (a completely different topic) ]
Abdullah Khan I'm guilty of that. Make Dua for me and individuals that have given brain space to the wrong rhythym. I have an abundance of rap lyrics in my head that I want to exchange for verses of Quran. With all the rap in my head I should be Hafiz of Quran instead of Hafiz of mobb deep, Kool g rap, KRS one, big daddy kane, ll cool j, heavy d, brand Nubian, notorious big, Tupac, nwa, etc, wiz khalifa... I'd exchange every verse I ever heard for one from the Quran. Live and learn. Concscoius hip hop brought me to the door of Islam and I'm thankful. This new stuff is not the same.
Subhanallah, awesome videos. Music is bad I learnt it from my own experience. I used to listen to music but when I started memorizing some Quran then I realized that I do not like to listen to music at all. But when I start listening to music then I do not like to listen to Quran or memorize it. From this experience, I realized Music is the worst. How dare it stops me from Quran. So, I deleted 25000 songs from my computer and Alhamdulillah, no songs in my computer or mobile since then. It realized in 2007. :) ALhamdulillah, May Allah kindly help music crazy people leave music. Music is extremely attractive drugs. Listening to Quran and connecting to Quran a lot is the only way to get rid of Music attraction according to my experience.
Allah hu Akber.... may Allah swt forgive for my bad sins.... I listen lot of n different types of songs..... in shaa allah from today onwards m leaving this shaiyatin music..... allah hu akber..... ty ty ty for sharing this videos to me.....
No doubt music has so much influence on us and we have unconsciously opened our hearts for shyetan.even to make this video appealing a dramatic music is been added on background
yeah no matter the music. Swedish music, french music, african music, south korea music, afrobeats, dancehall, raggea, etc. ALL THESE FAMOUS ARTISTS ARE SATANISTS THAT WORSHIP SHAYTAAN!! IT'S ALL HARAM!!! plus, I speak french. and those french rapper admit it in their songs.
Music touches emotions, just like scents do. Scent is the strongest sense tied to memory, which is why when you smell a recipe of your grandmother that you haven't had in a long time, you are transported back to childhood and you get warm, fuzzy feelings. Music does the same thing. Emotional centers in the brain light up when we hear music that we identify with, just like when we smell a scent that we identify with. Does anyone notice the eerie, supernatural-sounding music in the background of this video that makes the message more profound? You are being manipulated to feel that way by the music and high production quality of this video. If they were playing the ice cream truck song, it would not be as effective as evoking the feeling that the video-maker wants you to feel. Try it. Listen to a music box song when you watch this video and see if it has such a strong impact on you. They use MUSIC to evoke FEELINGS which is exactly the same thing every other music artist does. The best artists write a lot of songs that people can apply their own interpretation to so they identify with it, and it makes them feel a certain way.
Telling people not to listen to music while using music is the definition of hypocrisy. It's totally fine to say, "Hey, I dont think ae should listen to music like gangster rap that glorifies violence, sex, drugs, etc," because that is specific but dont be a hypocrite.
Listen to good music from now on, but don’t say to people that music is haram because we don’t have a clear answer and it’s very haram to say that music is haram. I stopped listening to modern hip hop
+Tazzy Jii not all music is haram ... you have to remember .. there is good and bad in everything , there is positive music and negative .. the type of music we shudnt listen to is negative. but there is positive music .. for example natural music is good... also synthetic music can be good but depending on the persons agenda they can make it bad . you see music is like knowledge it is neither good nor bad .. but it becomes bad or good depending on the persons intentions .
I am trying so hard to stop listening to music, I am only 12, my mom, dad and sister are helping me, and Alhumdullilah this video has inshallah stopped me from listening to it.🙏🏻✨
@@Rose-vj9mr to be honest i often listen to kpop but i don’t think it’s really halal, i mean they make your body move it doesn’t matter what concept or instruments. It’s seen as less filthy than in the west but it’s pretty much the same. Atleast try to delete the explicit/bad message music at first.
i can tell it by my own point of view. i was listening to RAP, HIP-HOP, ROCK etc vulgar lyrics it was okay for my parents. But when suddenly a Quran recitation was playing on my Smartphone, my parents immediatly got mad and said turn this off!! lol its so true.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or pictures (of animate objects)." (Bukhari) I burnt all my wedding and baby photos last night. Takbir!!!
That's really good that you have a solid Imaan, but that is literally extreme level and you could just put them in a photo book away from the sight of everyone instead of full-on burning it. Yes, it is the extra step forward but at the same time, it promotes extremism that is not necessary. Keep it away from plain sight and indulge in such actions with limitation; that way you are securing a place in the afterlife and also making yourself a role model in this world and not being an introverted extremist by burning memories. You are making the religion look bad in front of the disbelievers, instead of showing the beauty which can be done by BALANCED and SINCERE actions that make them attracted towards Islam instead of going like 'man that dude is weird, why should I turn to Islam when it promotes such extremist things'. Please keep these nonsense views out of Islam, real Islam is mixture of good deeds and good attitude in one, stuff like this brings a bad reputation and, therefore, shifts people away from the religion instead of attracting them. Can't spread a word of truth because ignorants like you take it too far and people automatically affiliate word of the Islam with your BS extremism. May the lord guide us all the right path, amen.
Thank you so much for compiling this video! Music seems to be the no. 1 fitnah today, and our ummah really needs this reality check. I really needed this reality check, because I'm still in denial after quitting music. It's so hard to get away from it, wallahi. It's everywhere! May Allah safeguard us all and make it easy for us to quit our addiction to music.
If his uncle is right and music is indeed good, then explain to me why there has been many insidents of muslims having an evil death due to music? Muslims who on their death bed, instead of reciting the kallimah (Testament of faith) on their death bed, have sang songs from a 50 cent song for example? FEAR ALLAH, FEAR ALLAH, FEAR ALLAH If you want to listen to music, be my guess, do what you want, no one can stop you but for your own sake, dont misguide other muslims by suggesting that music is halal and good, when it clearly is not as there is a clear, authentic hadith (Authentic sayings of Prophet Mohammed pbuh), which makes it clear hat music is forbidden in Islam and it can be clearly seen too by looking at the impact music has that it is bad.
So im born a muslim but don't know how to pray, inshallah ill be learning as of now, but I know what type of person I am im into any sort of music: metal, hip hop, soul, rock... I came across your channel on Wednesday and I had been watching the prophet series.. After watching the video about one of our prophets Sheeth... something in me told me to just stay away from music, I still can't believe I did this but I went to my phone and just deleted EVERY THING. I know how music makes me feel.. excited and all these weird things that im attracted to so the fact that I just completely deleted everything was just .. different. It was a good feeling though and although its only been a couple of days ive really opened up to the fact of not having music in my life.. weirdly enough its made me notice more things around me and how serious this stuff is. The dunya is no joke. im terrified and I really plan to do my best to pass this test insha Allah.
Im now figuring out how to download the entire Holy Quran to listen to instead of the music i am letting you all know for encouragement, im not gonna go public all over my social media accounts about this big step that i have made cause i just.. i don't like it may Allah bless you all Ameen 🌷
After I saw this video, I understood every single thing they said and what Allah has been trying to tell us for decades now. They are right. The music is filthy, vulgar, and it does encourage sexual behaviour. I will now delete my music playlist and avoid the music as much as I can. I will also encourage people I know and love to stop listening to music and head on to The Right Path.
+Mimi it is compilation of many different scholars from thier lecture on music, like i said its a compilation u can translate this or copy it from their lectures like and make a video. all these lectures are free and u r spreading the word of Islam so no hard feelings there BUT if u copy this exact video with little music thingy in the background then get this channel permission cuz they buy those samples sometimes and even video footage. asalam alaikum.
are you from germany? if so don't bother. it's going to be a Muslim country in about 5-10 years since Muslims will outbreed the local people unfortunately.
Keyboard Warrior Yes I am from Germany. And it would be wonderful if that would happen! But even if they are all Muslims, it's always needed to educate us about Islam! A lot of Muslims think Music is allowed, that's why I'd love to translate it.
well i am literally following and viewing and sharing this channels messages and videos from the start of this channel itself and it’s a very powerful channel and a broadcaster i must say…afterall that’s what i am supposed to do i think.. sharing.. may Allah guide us all and i recommend every follower to share as much as you can to keep the good work going
Astagfiruallah thanks for opening our eyes on this matter. I try to listen to the Quran everyday when I wake up and before I go to bed. If you do that, Allah will naturally guide you away from music Insha’Allah!
I used to listen to music a lot before. Now sometimes but still cannot get rid off it.This video helped me but still not enough. So I keep watching over and over again.May Allah(swt) protect me from shatain's tricks.Ameen
nowadays, its too hard to never listen to music like in TV (kids cartoon , news ..) ; weddings ; phone tones (your friends ,dads,.. phone) ... especially with the easy to find it (internet). but we will keep trying to not listen.
+Ayman Don There is difference between intentionally listening to Music and unintentionally listening, the Usuliyoon of Ahluss-Sunnah differenciate between intentionally hearing with the mind (Al Istimaa3) . As long you hear it unintentionally, there is no sin on You Inshallah. Allahu alam !
I don't drink nor take drugs and the last place i feel like going to is club or a party with these kinds of stuff but i do hear rock and roll where is the wrong about that? When i'm depressed its the only medicine that helps me forget and express myself. But in the same time i pray and listen to Quran. This is what you need to explain about why is this a sin not those crazy people who don't even believe in god. I am a good muslim but i can't find any reason that makes want to stop music.
+Tufail Morani of course god knows but what i am saying is that until now no one gave me a convincing reason that makes me want to stop music except that devils are dancing around me -_-
+What'sYourAqeedahDoe? I do have iman but i have a brain as well what i am saying is that why is it forbidden? All researches and evidence say it's good and helps helps in many ways. God never forbids something unless it's harmful and until now everybody is telling me that it is told that it is harmful. I am a muslim and i am asking because i want to stop but whenever i try to i find it very hard to stop it for no reason.
+What'sYourAqeedahDoe? +What'sYourAqeedahDoe? Aimal ghafoor is the best example for what i'm saying (the comment right before urs). Okay of course music that say bad things about god are forbidden but the other majority are love songs. You're only looking at the music the you want to see and hear. Logic is pretty much important as iman because iman alone will give you infinite meanings and roads to take. Don't forget that god is the one who created your brain as well
Becareful to anyone who sees this as black and white. Nothing is definite like music isnt straight up evil. I understand that there are music that emphasize on sex, money, drugs, lust and all that but not every music has that. Im guessing those with the intent of influencing the mind unconciously or consiously are the ao called bad or evil ones.
The sad thing is music sticks to the mind so easily that you may be of those who do your prayers and think it's okay as long as you pray, but imagine when the music that you listen to is still playing in your head while you're praying or reading quran...This happens to many people and sometimes we are unaware of it. I remind myself first before anyone else. May Allah guide us and give us strength to keep away from these things.
I try and only listen to classical, opera and instrumental music like flutes etc. And I listen to peaceful atmospheric music - kinda like the background music in this video and in this series. Is this permissible? I don't listen to rap, hip hop, rock etc because most of the lyrics are poison and filthy. Please advise
+Ali Beydoun no?? I said he can only listen to ansheeds with vocals only not instruments i didnt said that hecanthe cant listen anasheeds without words... He asked for the instruments.. So i responded him. I listened to ansheeds with words but with vocals only not instruments...
This is why I don't listen to barbaric Western music like rap and all that B.S. I prefer traditional folk music such as Persian Turkish Arabic Afghan etc.
Emperor Of Persia Yup, it's not just about the lyrics it's about the instruments the music. it's okay most of us listen to music but we know it's wrong and it's bad we wish and pray that Allah help us stop, you know brother the music itself is the main bad thing about songs you know those track that's full of just music with no lyrics yeah those are worst because the problems is the instruments but then they add lyrics to make it worst.
A long time ago I was listening to one of my favourite songs called This is trance by Paul Okenfold in my friends car and I swear by Allah I went into like a trance or something. It was like a got high from listening to the song and without drugs. I told my friend the song is so amazing I feel high listening to it, now I know why I felt this way.
