Mike and Jeremy have been very hard on that album over the years. Claiming a lot of the structure and transitions don’t make sense and that it’s all immature. Ffs it’s a debut. It’s suppose to sound free, raw, maybe even “immature”. Idk why bands don’t respect what they put out early, but it’s always disheartening
@@LRM5195 I agree completely. Some of my favourite bands first albums are their best but they’re all under some illusion that the new stuff is better. It’s frustrating, especially when they throw old stuff off the live set because they don’t like it.
I need see these guys asap before I miss the chance completely. Been one of my favorite bands since like 2008. Plagues is such a masterpiece. Really, with roots is really great too.
Weird to think Mike and Jeremy are the only OG members left. They're still killing it. Wish they brought more of the keys back like their earlier records, made the songs really unique.
Technically speaking Mike isn’t an OG OG they had a frontman before him but Mike was there during a practice one day and they took him over the other guy cause the other guy missed practice
@@anthonybarragan1687 Jeremy and Mike have been the only constant members since 2005. Their first few records had a bunch of synth and keyboard effects but they dropped that after Dead Throne when they became a “serious” metalcore band.
been a fan since 2006 and it's insane how good this band is, now. you've got hella synth, massive breakdowns, 4 vocalists, one of the tightest metalcore drummers to ever do it? and they never sold out their sound to play arenas? i legit feel bad for anybody that doesn't click with them
@@pandaonsteroids5154 that tour package is legendary, i was right up front at our city's date so everybody could hear me scream "2, 3, 4" during danger wildman
I saw them 3/26 and will see them again to close the tour on 5/3… I really hope the crowd the second time around is this rowdy!!! So good to hear others yelling and singing along again… this was so fun to watch, I’ve seen the boys 24 times, and I never get tired of it. Thanks for uploading, cheers!!
@@sirsuchil290 I remember seeing my friend of mine who was wearing old school band The Devil Wears Prada T shirt during Physical Education class how the old designs used to look like back then.
I just became a fan of them this year in 2022. There song “Sacrifice” showed up on my Spotify as a recommended track. I loved the song and it’s led me to being a fan of theirs now 🤘🏼. Saw them live twice a couple weeks ago when they did back to back shows at House of Blues Anaheim. That’s cool that they are an older band now and people like you have nostalgia for them already
@@N3rdGamerProductions you should listen to Revive on the 2010 EP Album. I play that song while I was killing zombies on call of duty black ops back in 2011.
Went to the show last night on Long Island. Haven't seen Devil wears prada in probably 15 years, specifically went for Erra and them was such a great show
I did the same I went for erra and TDWP absolutely killed it and especially mike coming on for smile in your sleep was sick. Didn’t stay for beartooth tho lol it was sad because all the beartooth fans didn’t even care about erra or didn’t lose their shit when TDWP played OG songs. They didn’t realize how insane all this was
@@perrytownsend2124 yeah I left also. When I used to go to shows in my teens and early 20s I never understood why people buy seat ticket when standing GA is available until that night, after working 10hr my late 30s just hits different I guess lmao
@@ericlucci2829 they're live performances were lacking big time for a while man. I've followed these guys very closely since 09, and dead throne-8:18 ish they lost some of their stamina for whatever reason, namely Mike. He was passing out on stage, barely saying anything at all, not moving much. He's changed recently, around the time of The Act's release. Live has been nuts lately
Chris Rubey leaving changed things but they hit differently in 2022. Nightfall from the second zombie EP is a fucking banger, The whole EP slaps. The thread wasn’t a bad song either🤘🏻
Prob a non popular opinion for the TDWP community but I just think it started to go down hill at 8:18. I think they were doing everything right up until Chris left. After that it just didnt feel the same for me vibe wise. No album of their ever hit as hard as the zombie-ep and deadthrone to me since. I’m not knocking them at all, and I’ve tried so hard to like their newer stuff but it just didn’t work for me
That's interesting. Because for me, it's the opposite. I love their new stuff more than the old. I started to really love them in Space EP era. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of their older songs, but I prefer what they're becoming now with their new sound in ZII and Sacrifice. I still think the best is yet to come.
I could never really get into their older stuff bar a few songs. I really enjoyed The Act and then the Zombie EP II + new songs have been amazing though. I think they've definitely found their sound now
