As far is know, she said that she used to cover TDWP with her former band, forrister. And i believe, they all were only live covers. But i don't know, how many TDWP songs they covered.
When it comes to TDWP I'm an O.G. like many of you and I noticed the transition is an acquired taste... But now they're hitting on a whole different level and continuing to show their much more than just a band.
Omega Haze I love them because they matured WITH me. I def loved their old stuff, but looking back it was quite childish. I love their new stuff because I am older now and can appreciate the depth of the songs
Exactly, you can see how much Jeremy's vocals have mature and developed since their old stuff like Plagues where his voice would crack at times and didn't have a stable tone to it, it was kinda all over the place. Now he's learned to control his voice range more.
iHeart FlavoR the bands roots are their Christian Lyrics, how have they stayed true to their roots?,on their latest project they have abandoned most of their christian lyrics
They were never really a Christian band. *Edit* Only time they were even close To being a christian band was their 2005-06 (EP) When they were all 17-18.
iHeart FlavoR check again ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nOrK7cMWtxA.html go and watch 1:47-1:59 and this interview he says the band is a christian band
DK some of the christians care including me i care about christian lyrics,if you are in a christian band then 100% of your content should have christian lyrics
iHeart FlavoR if Mike didn’t say he is not in a christian band then i think you should just take his word,he is not the only one that does this, there are christian bands who produce songs that are secular and christian
I have listened to this song probably a trillion times, give or take a few thousand. I am today years old when I found out this was a cover. Without even listening to the original, I already know this is a phenomenal cover.
TDWP is solid as fuck. He's been screaming forever and still goes hard af! I'm so fortunate to have existed in this time in history to experience this band
Deepak Kumar Their transition has been an acquired taste for many and I'll always miss the old-school DWP but as the grow / adapt they're taking risk and jamming on a whole new level! 🙌
I know you do better when you're by yourself Free from the weight of my dirt poor health New drugs to fix all my missing cells Didn't bring it up, cause I've done so well this week And I thought that if I tried a little bit harder you'd change your mind I've still got nowhere to be, and I don't do too well; nobody's worried When nobody's worried about me But I shouldn't have built a house in the middle of your chest Plywood boards joined at your breast Splinter in my arm where you rest your head Checking my watch till you come to bed Kiss me goodnight with your sour breath Breaks on my face like a wave of emptiness And when I talk just taste regret You're everything I want and I'm all you dread Watch the poison leak from your pores Think all the liquor's gonna keep you warm Burn everything down to prove you could Leave me inside in a body made of wood In a body made of wood Oh, the harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink The harder I swim, the faster I sink
God I love that last line before the song ends, Mike truly evolved and the fact that he's still able to be a frontman after all these years and after frying his vocals from the old stuff it's truly admirable and inspiring, that's why whenever I see people talk about how their new stuff sucks it really makes me shake my head, the devil wears prada is easily one of the greatest modern metal bands of all time, they are limitless and defined by no genre, they are just; The Devil Wears Prada
Thank you guys we all thank you and the other bands you are all doing an awesome job and I know this has already working I can't wait because I know it's only can get better keep it going and never stop
Ive been a tdwp fan since i was 12 now 20 years old i can see after six years this band never seems to disappoint yes their doing new stuff but still they pull it off which is a very hard thing to do so twdp keep the good stuff coming .
Tdwp if your reading this please make more songs like this with all the clean vocals and little bit screaming this is beyond Amazing you guys did an excellent job covering this song keep it up this beats the old stuff I'll take any day
Ok, I'll be honest ... I was afraid to start the song and there was an abrupt change in their musical genre ... But you know what? I am proud that they maintain their essence and still continue to innovate with each masterpiece they create. FOREVER TDWP
Damn... I would have loved if another heavy section came in right after Jeremy's vocals at the end... it definitely felt like there should have been something loud and emotional to punctuate that bit. Oh well, still a great cover!
I was pleasantly surprised that Julien Baker, an alumni from my school, is now being covered by one of my favorite bands! Jeez wow. It's truly awesome.
