What is a deacon? Why does the Church have deacons, and what do they do? Do we really need deacons or are they just a nice liturgical addition? Father Maxym continues to his series on the Church in Orthodox Theology to talk about the diaconate, what the ministry of the deacon is, and why the diaconate is necessary in the Church.
