I've had two MRIs and both were pleasant; the buzzing put me to sleep and I was totally inside the tube. the ventilation was excellent. Nothing to fear.

CT is an X-Ray for hard objects such as bone and MRI is for soft organs and muscle tender. Both are useful in the medical world m.

This video needs to explain the moderate to a large amount of radiation that is used in CT AND PET scans...do MRI instead. Very important.

Ionizing radiation. The biggest difference. As I understand it, ionizing radiation destroys DNA.

I was in a accident about 16 months ago. It wasn't a small accident since I had to go through surgery and all that. They gave me the CT since my surgery was related to my head but never a MRI. Now listening to this and realizing MRI detects a lot of soft tissue issues I feel I should open my case back up. I'm not old either im in my mid 20's and really feel like the University of Minnesota owe me answers? You really don't know how hurt you are until everything you thought hurt heals.

Is Ct scan without contrast accurate ? I have had headache for a while now that comes and goes Doctor got me CT scan and showed clear brain but acute sphenoid sinusitis But i keep thinking i need MRI and that maybe CT scan isnt accurate or they made a mistake ? No other side effects though.

Why do hospitals and drs not warn you about the radiation risks?

The contrast administration isn't the same though, MRI contrast doesn't have Iodine. Just saying, nice video.

I have a question regarding when a CT scan is performed. Does the beam always need to rotate around the body to get the images required. or can your body be scanned by just having the body be moved back and forth into the machine while holding your breath .Also is there a light that comes on.

What was the MRI machine type? Nebraska is too far for us. I want to see if somewhere in my state might have a similar machine.
